Antithesis

Antithesis #1

by Anne Thomas

The world changed the day I was introduced to a new friend and given a box holding the secret to my past. But it wasn’t what I could have anticipated and my new role in this ever changing universe was to bring death and destruction to the ones that were found abhorrent by society. The problem was to learn how when I had barely learnt to drive. Death arrived wearing a black hoodie, he led me into an existence of good, bad and repentance, he was to shape my fate into what he deemed fit and introduce me to my soul mate, who was waiting to make his move. My name is Ali, I was a waitress in the first part of my life but I’m not sure what I was in my last one, it got cut short, apparently I made a mistake and now I’m something quite different., which appears to be my role in life, even if I’m not very good at it.
