Will and Aidan’s story continues in the second thrilling installment of the Ambrosia Royals series.
A country torn by revolution…
Eighteen-year-old jewel thief Will has no choice but to accept his destiny as the leader of the revolution that sweeps Ambrosia. Tasked with paving the way for the rebels, he finds himself crossing paths with Second Prince Aidan Garius. Even as his heart longs for Aidan, Will knows giving in to his attraction could get them both killed.
A prince with a heavy burden…
Ever since Aidan discovered Will’s true identity, he’s been trying to protect Will. However, when the king puts him in charge of eliminating the leader of the rebels, Aidan knows he must confront his greatest fear. In order to assure Will’s safety, Aidan must sacrifice his feelings and adhere to his duty.
Two hearts destined to meet…
As the revolution progresses, Will and Aidan find themselves falling deeper. Mired in a power war that will determine the fate of the king, two of them must find a way to stay together while fighting for justice. Can they rewrite destiny or will they be swept away by the capricious tides of fortune?
"If this is destiny, I want to surrender to its greater power, and hope that everything will be alright."
»Once a thief, Will now needs to deal with his role in the revolution. He needs to be the leader now that he knows he is the lost prince, even if that means going against Prince Aidan’s family. While he and Aidan are trying to avoid blood being spilled, they are also trying to make their sides reach some sort of peace even if it seems impossible. Prince Aidan and -now- Prince Will will also have to deal with their buried feelings for each other whilst fighting to survive and to be free.
»The first book made a great base to the story developed in the second (final book? I’m gonna miss Will and Aidan) one, it was great to see all these feelings/situations that were growing in the first one go exploding now. Loved the political tension, Aidan’s dilema and overall struggle...he is such a pure heart. Also, the COMMUNICATION between Aidan and Will was so good, they weren’t letting misunderstandings mess up with their relationship (of course fear was one thing that did get in the way).
»I honestly would love to see more of this world and its story, in a way their story ended in the beginning (heart eyes) and I feel that the author really loved the characters, wanting to give them a full arc and being full truthful to their personalities all the way until the end.
"I lied when I said I wanted you to let me go. In truth, I wanted you to hold me tighter." i love the way Aidan matured in this part of the story. i think it's amazing how he develops from a terrified prince to a young king, gathering the courage to face everything and everyone else for the one thing he wants: to love and be loved. even though at first i wasn't sure i would like the story after all, i think the second book turned the tables for me. i liked the fact that i couldn't predict any of the major plot twists and turns. still, i wish i could've learned more about Suzannah. that was actually a setback for me, since i kept expecting her to show up and play a major role in the finale. i think she was a very important figure in the book, not necessarily just for Aidan but also for the status of women in her kingdom, and i wish the story could've involved her more. still, i do think this is a nice story. 4⭐ for me.
This book was extremely underwhelming and not worth buying. I really liked the first book but this one was awful. Things that didn't need a lot of detail had a lot of detail and things that needed detail didn't have a lot. The story dragged on and this whole book could have just been included in the first book if you tookthe unnecessary stuff. The timeline didn't make sense. The book seem to be written for young adult but then some of the stuff they talked about shouldn't be in Young Adult Book such as one of the charecters talking about being raped by his uncal. The ending had some unnecessary violence that person might I didn't feel like needed to be included. I would not recommend this book.
"We have lost things we can never regain, and we have gained things that we thought were lost to us forever. Though I grieve the loss of my old self, I am glad I was broken. If this was the way to become stronger, I don’t regret it. "
✨A fantasy romance M/M book full of magic, hope and love. The Fate of Kings is the second and the last book of the series Ambrosia royals.
✨Amazing cover ✨well written book ✨ quick read ✨ steamy scenes ✨ angst.
I definitely recommend it and I will certainly search for more works of the author!
