What if you didn’t have to pick between three hot air force men?
At my fiancé’s funeral, I hit rock bottom. My entire life burnt down with our home. Then I meet Matt, Ben and Andy. These three hot airmen tell me they had a pact to take care of me if anything happened to my fiancé. I don’t believe them. Don’t want to be taken care of by three hot men from the RAF. Don’t want to let go of my grief. Then I discover their secret. A room full of things I’ve only read about in Fifty Shades. I freak. But then my curiosity gets the better of me. Three hot guys want to share me, tie me down, and teach me what they know. They wait for me to be ready. In this MFMM menage, these sexy military men are going to teach me that three heads are definitely better than one. But then they get sent to Mozambique, and I get scared that something terrible has happened. When they don’t come back, my worst fears are realized.
USA-today and worldwide number 1 bestselling author Katie Douglas is the sort of incorrigible British girl you'd find at St Trinian's. She recently quit her job as a school librarian in China to write full-time. She is also a webcomic artist and has degrees in archaeology, computer science and chemistry education, which explains why she mostly writes Scottish and Victorian historical romance or science fiction romance. She prefers diners to fancy restaurants, coffee or whisky to champagne, and sometimes she adults.
Katie Douglas gives us Matt, Ben, and Andy in a military reverse harem storyline. It has all the BDSM, D/s, MFMM menagé, chemistry, and romance that comes with one of her books. See, Rebecca, aka Bex, was engaged to Adam. They hadn't been able to get married yet because his ex-wife hadn't signed the divorce papers until recently. But just three months before the wedding, the house they were living in, which was owned by Adam's parents, caught fire and Adam lost his life. The investigator blamed it on faulty wiring. Bex blamed it on Adam's parents. Adam had made his friends promise that should anything happen to him, they would take care of Bex and they had agreed. It was a good thing too because Adam's family had all but shunned her while they fawned over his ex-wife. Instead of volunteering information about her situation now that she'd lost her fiancé and her home to the guys, she snuck out while they were distracted thinking to save herself any embarrassment. Fortunately, they were too good of friends for that and managed to find and follow her to a camp-site where she had been living for two weeks. Enough was enough, they packed her up, bag and baggage and moved her into their house. There are so much care and respect between these four characters. Combine Fifty Shades and Top Gun and you'll have the gist of camaraderie, honesty, communication, and heart. This is so worth the read yáll. I really recommend this book.
Rebecca is heartbroken when her soldier fiance Adam is killed in action. Adam’s best friend, Matt, Ben, and Andy arrive at the burial to tell Rebecca they promised Adam they would take care of her if anything happened to him. Rebecca is grateful and gets to know the three men. She learns later they have a secret. Ben, Andy, and Matt have a secret BDSM room and share women. Rebecca is first shocked and also curious but apprehensive about the BDSM room. Her curiosity gets the better of her and she asks about the room and asks to see it. This surprises the three men who were apprehensive about letting Rebecca in their world b/c they weren't sure if Rebecca would accept it.
I liked this book. It was a good story. It kept my interest to the end. It was well written and kept me turning the pages to see what will happen next. Lol. I thought it was realistic how Rebecca was apprehensive about joining the three men. It took her a while to finally agree to join them. Lol. I loved the three men. All three were sweet and gentle, letting her take her time. The relationship between all four of the characters was lovely and sweet. It was very romantic and sexy. The sex was hot and steamy. I loved how they each respected each other. I love the ending. It was heartwarming. It made me cry. This is the first book I've read by this author and will not be my last. I look forward to reading more by this author. I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book from Booksirens.com. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book hits you with emotion right from the start and just doesn't stop. I loved that. We got to experience all of the highs and lows that Bex was going through, along with all of her questions and searchings on BDSM. We also got a bit of an inside into what the guys were thinking and feeling. I really enjoyed this book but it did annoy me that there were a few continuity errors that should have been picked up in edit. I liked the progression of the characters in their new relationship but felt that the ending was a bit flat. Overall though, a great way to spend a couple of hours.
Bex had been about to marry the love of her life until her world crumbled around her She would never be able to understand the way her fiancés family had treated her when she had been literally months away from marriage, she knew that they had always felt a lot about his ex-wife but after the appalling way she had treated him she had truly believed they saw how happy and how much in love they were? At the funeral her fiancés three service men friends had arrived at the church and the cometary and in all honesty if it had not been for them, she would have been left alone in the mud at the graveside, whilst his family and ex all went to an after burial cup cake celebration. His parents conveniently seemed to ignore the fact that the house fire responsible for his untimely death and very nearly hers had been caused by faulty wiring in their old house. When Matt, Ben and Andy had discovered what her hosing situation was they had taken her home to stay with them whilst she found a new job. As they spend time together and she discovers more about them and her fiancés request, it seems that perhaps she had been meant to form a relationship with these three wonderful and very different men. As this story opens over time and the begin to experiment the Dominant and submissive relationships between each of them she realises that she cares for them all very much and could not bear to think of anything happening to them if they were sent on mission together. This really Is a wonderful read and I assure you that once you begin reading you will not be able to put this book down I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Bex was Adam's fiance and when he dies his friends Ben, Matt and Andy show up with friends and family. They see her and immediately step in like they told him they would to take care of care. They try to get some info about what's been going on with her from her but she's been evasive with her answers. So they know that they need to figure a way to find out what's going on. Its not long before they find out how dire her situation really is and they collect her and take her home with them. Bex is curious about the men her fiance was friends with and explores their home when she thinks their asleep and gets caught. Will she see that these men only want what's best for her and stay with them? Can they have a future together?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I loved this book, I read this more than once :) This is a steamy stand-alone RH read. You will be sad, angry and frustrated for the main character, then find yourself grinning.
No big spoilers.. Rebecca planned for a marriage with her fiancé but is heartbroken when he dies is killed in action. Three of her fiancé best friends attend the funeral and tell Rebecca they promised to take care of her if anything happened to him. Initially Rebecca ignores the offer choosing to struggle on her own but the trio then gently take her in hand. As she learns their secrets she then chooses to step into their BDSM world
The book is well written, with interesting characters. The book keeps a good pace throughout which makes this difficult to put down
I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book from the author but this review is very much my own
I picked Tripple Duty because I was intrigued by the storyline. It is very unique and I was really interested in what happens to Bex. It was really easy to jump right in and understand the circumstances in which she found herself with 3 guys. I devoured the book in an afternoon. I feel the character development on the men was a little short and I would have liked more details. It took about 50% of the book to really know who was who. The timeline moves at normal speed for most of the book, but at points, it was like 2 months later... and I was surprised. I would recommend this book if you are into group books or widowers.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Rebecca is at the funeral of her fiance and his three military buddies, Matt, Ben, and Andy. They were the only ones left as the graveside when her fiance's parent leave. She lost everything they had in the fire that killed her love and nowhere to go. The men take her to stay with them at their house while she gets back on her feet. They are dominant personalities and they find that Rebecca is a submissive. I'm glad that they took everything at the slow pace that Rebecca needed. Wonderful story that I had to finish once I started reading. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Learning to love after a tragedy and moving on is hard. We arrive at the funeral of Rebecca’s fiancé. She is an outsider there. His parents and ex-wife are running the show. As Rebecca is looking for a way out of speaking with the ex, three men, Andy, Matt, and Ben arrive and block her arrival. These three hunks were Air Force mates of Adam’s and where there for her and to remind others about his service. This is their story. And what a story it is. This is definitely an adult themed ménage story with lost love, friendship, fear, and love. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book
This book was well written and entertaining. I felt so badly for Bex when the story started and thought it was sweet how protective Matt, Ben and Andy were from the start. It was a slow build romance, so you can see their relationship grow. The chemistry between Bex and the boys is sizzling steamy hot enough to melt your panties off. Note there is a little bit of BDSM and D/s relationship within this novel.
I received an advanced reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.
Intriguing storyline -- I didn’t know what to expect from this author. I don’t think I have ever read anything by Katie Douglas before TRIPLE DUTY. I was surprised, in a good way! The author takes us through every emotion you can name, and then some! I laughed, I cried, I felt Bex’s pain. I felt Andy, Matt, and Ben’s emotions as they found themselves caring so much for Rebecca (aka Bex). The story has it all. And that’s a good thing, in my opinion. Anytime an author can reach inside of a reader and find those emotions, it’s a book worth reading! This book is worth reading!
I enjoyed reading this new book by Katie, it has all the feels as we follow Bex from the sad loss of her fiancé to the development of her new friend/relationship with her fiancé 3 friends Ben, Matt and Andy... The buildup to the romance was a bit slow and for me, I found that it added more to the book as Bex who was curious to the men’s lifestyle in the BDSM scene and as each one had a different Dom persona definitely made this a hot and steamy read..
The beginning of the book was very sad, especially how Bex's future mother-in-law treated her. The rest of the book had no mention of her MIL and I thought she would be threaded more into the story. Bex was not very assertive when it comes to confrontations.
This book was a quick read that kept my attention. I finished it in one day. I would recommend reading this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Can a group of men save a woman in every way possible? Bex is out of control since her fiancé was killed and his family turned their backs on her. Andy, Ben and Matt were mates of Adam’s and promised to take care of Bex if needed. Anger, hurt, loss of the life she knew and then learning a totally new life keeps Bex on her toes in this story. It also makes the reader question their own circumstances.
DNF. I like smut as much as the next person, but this was a big NO for me. The writing was off and rushed. The female MC, Bex, comes off as immature and I just couldn't with her. She threw tantrums when the 3 male MCs tried to help her. She thought that the guys aren't "normal" because they have a BDSM dungeon. I didn't make it past her first night in their home, because she also sounded rude and judgemental.
This was my very first read by this author and I loved it. I’ve been reading a bunch of reverse harem books lately and this one did not disappoint. In the beginning, I felt so bad for Bex. I loved their slow building romance. Their chemistry was steamy. I devoured this book. After reading it, I wanted more!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Who loves military reverse harem stories? This girl! Let me tell you, this author is one of the best I have read in a long while. I cannot express enough how much I loved reading this story and was sucked in. I did not want it to end. This book is a must read immediately! You will not be disappointed!
A well written and interesting story. I enjoyed the interaction between all the characters. There are some erotic scenes which are all very consentual and sweet. I liked how their relationship developed, it was real. The reader will feel all the emotions of Bex. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. This is an enjoyable and entertaining story.
received as an ARC from Book Sirens for my honest free review.
It was good but felt like it was rushed. Scenes seemed to jump making you think wait a minute when did that happen. Liked the story line just thought it needed more detail.
This is a beautiful story of overcoming heartbreak and grief. How a promise made between brothers in arms leads to finding love again, while taking a journey of self-discovery.
Matt, Andy and Ben are the best and Bex is a lucky girl indeed....
This is a reverse harem book with the gentle introduction of BDSM to a newbie. The author doesn’t make it easy for them as there is trust to be earned and complications to overcome for this foursome.
Trigger warnings Profound grief Depression MFMM BD SM scenes
Characters Bex (fiancé dies) Adam (dead fiancé) Andy (friend of Adam) Ben (friend of Adam) Matt (friend of Adam)
Bex and Adam were involved in a house fire that killed Adam. Andy, Ben, and Matt approach her about their promise to Adam to take care of her. She is resistant at first, but when the guys find out she is living in a tent, they give her no choice about moving in with them. How will she navigate her grief while falling in love with three men?
Written in British English, with British slang, so American readers may find some of the wordings difficult to understand. The switch of her name from Bex to Becky and back might also be confusing. Also there are several typos and one confusing plot error where it said she made calls the day after Adam died, but she was on a ventilator for two days after the fire. Another point, her safeword changes from red to jellybean. Overall, the book was a good book, it just needed editing or explaining.
This was a great story of loss and the love and friendship of three friends, Andy, Matt and Ben who promised their mate Adam that they would look after Bex if anything happened to him. Bex learns all about sharing her love and also about discipline by the men she falls in love with and plans to spend her life loving. There is a happily ever after for these four.
I am voluntarily leaving my review for this book and this is my honest and fair opinion.
The book was ok! The scene with Ben really irritated me! She was unhappy with the situation barely said how it made her feel and then everything was ok let’s go to the sex dungeon! Throughout the whole book, I never felt that they even liked her let alone loved her enough to ask her to marry them! The only thing I liked about the book was how much time they gave her to grieve and never made her feel bad about missing her fiancé and tried to help her get through it!

Timeline was to quick. I still felt it was to fast after her fiance passed away. At the beginning them forcing her to go with her I felt was redictulous even if she needed it. Shebwas a grown woman and didn't need to be told what to do or how to feel or grieve. It wasn't a bad read fkr a short story I just personally felt it was rushed.
DNF at 30%. It’s something I hate doing, especially with a book so short, but when I realized I was almost 1/3 of the way in and I still didn’t care about any of the characters, I knew it wasn’t worth my time. Plus there were way too many 50SOG references. Any BDSM romance worth reading should steer clear of those.
Not a fan. The main character contradicted herself a lot and I’m not a fan of her getting with her previous fiancés friends and then being like well I didn’t love him like I love you so I didn’t really love him. She was overall a confusing character and I didn’t like her.
