Alba Rue knew pain. It had ruined every good thing in her life, until she couldn’t bear to live another day. Things had to be better on the other side… or so she thought.
Waking up in a dumping ground for unrepentant murderers is a new kind of torment. Alba isn’t meant to be there, but proving herself through gruelling trials is her only way out.
If that isn’t its own kind of hell, Alba quickly learns there are worse things in Limbo than being dead. Like blood kisses, winged monsters and psychotic bunkmates with eternal grudges…
But Alba also discovers she has the power to drag warrior-angels out of the sky. Zadkiel, the Dominion of Mercy, vows to do whatever it takes to get her out of Limbo. With a green-eyed angel in her corner, things are looking up.
But Alba’s afterlife is built on a web of dark lies and illusions, and following her heart might just be the worst decision she’s ever made.
I totally enjoyed this book! I wasn't able to stop once I started it... I wouldnt have changed a single page even if I could...it was written so perfectly. Thank you for your writing skills...i loved it!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was an entertaining read that had some action, adventure, suspense and drama. The female lead character had guts and I thought she was interesting. She had personal issues to overcome and it was entertaining to witness.
Really original story that kept me reading till the end. Great deal of similarity between the Hunger Games themes and actions. I found this novel to be a great read, and explores the ideas of the afterlife. This novel is a real page turner and I would highly recommend others that are interested to give it a swing. Can't wait to see what's next in store.
This book hooked me immediately with its dark, imaginative premise. The afterlife setting is vivid and unsettling without being overwhelming, and Alba’s journey is gripping from start to finish. The world-building in Limbo feels original and carefully thought out.
