About the author

As a child, Cherié Summers, dreamed of being a writer. And it's in her dreams that Ms. Summers finds inspiration. At age eighteen, a dream she had about her favorite rock star, Billy Idol, turned into her first novel, Start the Fire. But, Ms. Summers didn't get serious about publishing that novel until she turned fifty. Nearly six years later, she has seven published books to her name.

Star the Fire begins her Love on Fire series which she describes as "drama filled, erotic romance about love, sex, friendship, and rock and roll". There are five books in the series that chronicle the trials, tribulations, and romances of the fictional band, Lightning.

For the book Eternally Wild, Ms. Summers veered away from her series to take a stab at paranormal romance. However, the book is still grounded in music. The inspiration for Eternally Wild also came from a dream. One in which Ms. Summers met the ghost of Michael Hutchence. She was compelled to begin writing the book on the 20th anniversary of his death and is thrilled with the outcome, calling it her "steamiest" creation to date.

Writing is only one of Ms. Summers' creative passions. She is also an avid photographer, specializing in portrait photography of animals, nature, and people. Another creative outlet she revels in is belly dancing. She teaches the art of Middle Eastern dance through her local community education program. She also enjoys traveling to music concerts and pop culture conventions with her daughter, Kayla. Atlanta is a favorite destination, and Ms. Summers' dream is to move there when she retires from her day job.

First, I want to thank Cherie Summers for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

Yes, Cherie Summers is back with Through the Fire!! The book that totally reads like are watching a steamy drama filled prime time soap unwind! This is part of a series and trust me you will want to read the whole series as you don’t want to miss a beat!

You can catch up on all your buddies from the band and Melody because they are in it. Each dealing with stuff from the past and present.

In this book Sheri jumps back to the past and we learn how Kat got his nickname.

This is the story of Kat and Annette whom I love together! I love where they came from and where they are going with their relationship. Even the kids like him.

I hated Adam Annette’s soon to be ex hubby! I hated what he originally cheated on her over and over and over while she was pregnant with her kids! He was just an overall jerk!!

As always, the sex scenes were amazing!!

Keith Williams ( Kat ) is the bassist for the punk rock band Lightning his friend and lead singer Adrian met and married Melody, Kat is envious of their happy marriage he was once in love but it blew up in his face so Kat thought that he would never get a happily ever after that is until Annette. Annette left her cheating husband and took her boys off to start a new life, Annette is Adrian’s cousin and she knew Kat they were good friends until they started to become more. Her husband kept pleading for her to come back to him but she kept telling him no and one day it got too much for him and he finally snapped. I loved this story I haven’t read the other books to this series so now I have a lot of books to catch up on but don’t worry this book can be read as a standalone. I loved Kat and Annette they had such great chemistry and Kat was such a good guy he was amazing especially with Annette’s sons. This is such a fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and this is my absolutely favourite genre and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Another great read in the series! As the story and attachment builds to these characters in previous books, from even Book 1, we are able to observe another relationship dynamic with able happy, sad, and traumatic events. Their story continues in the next book, and I once again appreciate how these books are so greatly intertwined.

Learning more about Kat finally in the second book is quite joyous as the books previous to this one really deal a great bit with his responsible character; he plays such a large role in this series, I was excited to finally build upon his story. Meanwhile, Annette's story is a fascinating one as she deals with marriage, abusive behavior, struggles with personal relationships, and of course has children. Summers does a great job keeping this series on a road that feels never ending; on fire!
