A hostage rescue gone wrong. A woman in fear of her life. And a Navy SEAL who’ll stop at nothing to save her.
Navy SEAL Ethan “Everglades” Flannigan feels an instant draw toward the woman his team is tasked with rescuing from the mountains of Afghanistan. Kidnapped and held by a terror cell, her condition is unknown. But when the innocent woman bolts from them in fear, he’ll stop at nothing to get her to safety.
Army Reservist Kimberly Turner was kidnapped after a bombing in Afghanistan. She’s been held in the mountains for nearly two months and given up hope of a rescue. When a group of armed men storm the camp and she’s held at knifepoint in the confusion, she runs. The buff and assertive Navy SEAL who chases after her won’t let any further harm come her way—but he won’t let her avoid the attraction simmering between them either.
Ethan knows Kim has been traumatized during her ordeal, but as she slowly opens up, he needs to persuade her that he’ll protect both her body and heart. When they return stateside and she slowly recovers, Kimberly realizes Ethan is the only thing she wants—but is it too late to have him?
SEAL’s Revenge by Makenna Jameison is another great addition to the Alpha SEALs Coronado series. Army Reservist Kimberly Turner, a Pentagon employee on temporary duty in Afghanistan, has been kidnapped after their quarters are bombed at Bagram Airfield, a military base. Her friends and family are worried, but Navy SEAL Ethan “Everglades” Flannigan wants to find her and the other woman and bring them home to the states. Twice the team was close (in-country), but information as to their whereabouts was unknown, and the team had to leave. Then the US was contacted and given a ransom demand—money for Kimberly. This story will keep readers on the edge of their seats wondering why and if her fate will be the same as the blond woman kidnapped at the same time. Kimberly agonizes over the woman’s screams and accepts the idea that she will be tortured and killed as well. When she isn’t continually abused, she thinks it strange that she doesn’t receive the same torture as the other woman, and readers will be similarly confused until the end of the story. There is something strange and dangerous going on with foreign allied employees. The whole time Ethan has heard stories about Kimberly from her friend Hailey; she has become familiar to him, and he wants to get her back and get to know her as a person, not as a narrative or hearsay. Once Kimberly is recovered (an exciting/dangerous part of the tale) and back in the states, Ethan takes his time to woo the woman with whom he has fallen in love. However, the danger is not over. Kimberly is still a target, and no one knows why. This book is one to read; in fact, the whole Coronado series is worth the investment if book lovers like military romances. Thanks, Makenna, I cannot wait to see if all the traitors are caught.
I have read and loved all of the books in this series and this was no exception. This is Ethan and Kim’s story and although it’s not necessary to have read the prior books it does tie in with Hailey and Grayson’s story (SEAL’s Embrace). Kim was kidnapped from Bagram air base and held hostage for 2 months before finally being found and rescued by Ethan and his SEAL team. Ethan knows a bit about Kim from having spent time with her friend Hailey and has been anxious for his team to get the intel needed to find and save her. There is an instant connection between Kim and Ethan and I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow when they got back on US soil. Kim is a strong heroine - she had to be to survive her captivity - but it is nice to see her lean on Ethan a bit as she recovers. Ethan is a strong alpha male but he is also gentle and patient as he strives to help Kim in any way she needs. A great love story with suspense as danger follows Kim home, a little bit of mystery as they try to figure out who was responsible for her kidnapping and, of course, a nice HEA. Basically everything you want in a romantic suspense novel!!
This is the fourth book in the series about this SEAL team, and follows on from Hailey and Grayson’s. Hailey’s friend Kimberley was kidnapped from Bagram base after it was bombed, and has been missing for a couple of months, held by a terrorist group in the mountains of Afghanistan. Grayson’s SEAL team is sent in one night to rescue her, and scared out of her mind but seeing a potential escape route, Kimberley runs, leading to Ethan, one of the team, catching up with her and protecting her as they became separated from the others. He cares for her until they meet up with the team again, and are all evacuated back to Bagram by helicopter, and visits her in the base hospital also. He feels very protective towards her, and she feels safe and comfortable when he is around. As their relationship slowly develops not everything is going as smoothly as they hope, and trouble waits around the corner. This book does not disappoint, Ehan’s team mates stories continue in the background, as we find out more about them and see whether the trauma Kim experienced whilst captive will adversely effect her relationship with Ethan. Great read.
Kimberley has been taken hostage in Afghanistan and Ethan is part of the SEAL team tasked to rescue her. After spending two months with her captors and being moves around she’s all but given up hope of rescue. When Ethan pulls her out of the enemy camp in the middle of the night it’s a race to get her to the extraction point before the enemy catches up to them. No one is more grateful than Kim when they make it out without incident and when she is recovering in the base hospital Ethan has this need to make sure she’s safe. Even after making it back to US soil the connection between them has then taken hold and she doesn’t want to leave him. One of Ethans team mates is dating Kim’s best friend so it’s a reason for her to visit. When she visits them in San Diego she doesn’t expect the nightmare of her time in Afghanistan to follow her there.
What a fantastic story. The initial rescue was a great read, I felt all of her pain and fear. I was just desperate for Kim to be rescued. Ethan is definitely a man you want in your corner. I was so glad the Kim gave them a chance and they got their HEA
When Ethan finally gets the chance with his SEAL team to free a kidnapped woman, Kimberly, who happens to be friends with Hailey, he’s chomping at the bit to get to her. Deep in the Afghan mountains, Kim has been moved from place to place by the terrorists who kidnapped her, fighting to stay alive until she is rescued. After two months, she’s almost given up hope but one night her wishes come true and Ethan is her knight who comes to her rescue....now they just have to make it off the mountain with the rest of his team before they are caught. A great read with suspense, some emotional scenes, great characters and a bit of steam. I liked these two, Kim and her strength, dealing with what happened and her immediate connection with Ethan. I loved Ethan’s patience and how he “handled” Kim, with respect and care. I loved the no drama between them and no other women coming between them and the no parading of hook ups with the other single SEAL men...LOVED IT!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Ethan and Kimberly, what a slow burn romance. I admit this novel didn't start with the normal Makenna Jameison flare and I felt the pace was off in the early chapters, but from the moment those guys got their boots on the ground and the action began the words just flew off the page. This was a near-perfect read. The characters we have come to know and love, the cross talk and picong among the team members, and the introduction of their CO, Slate (is he getting his HEA?) Ethan was as devoted to Kimberly as an Alpha could be and her reaction to him and general reactions fit the profile of someone who has spent time in captivity. That Ethan understood that and took his time to woo her, although in the scheme of things it was really short, was a plus for me. I love these guys and I'm very happy that they are all getting their HEA.
Kimberly Turner is taken hostage in the mountains of Afghanistan while working for the Department of Defense. For months she is afraid no one is looking for her but one night a group of armed men rescue her. Ethan Flannigan and his team of Navy Seals storm the area to rescue her, he guards her and then carries her to the helicopter. Afterwards he stays close to her as she is transferred back home. As their relationship grows so does the continued danger. This is Book 4 of the Alpha Seals Coronado series. Makes you appreciate the men and women in the military stationed in dangerous areas. A good read with suspense, danger and romance. It helps if you have read the other books in the series to understand the dynamics of the SEAL team. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Kimberly is (Hailey’s friend from Hailey and Grayson’s story Seal’s Embrace). She is an Army Reservist stationed at Bagram Air Base in Afaghanistan was kidnapped during a bombing at the base and taken into the mountains.
Ethan is a Navy Seal also at Bagram Air Base sent on a mission rescue Kimberly ( whom he learned about from Hailey). He is very anxious to get moving and rescue her.
Hailey once rescued became very close an attracted to Ethan as well as feeling safe.
This is the fourth book in the series; it has great characters, twists, turns, emotions.
Chapter four in this series and it's another great addition to the series. This is Ethan/Everglade's and Kim's story. It's interconnected with Seal's Embrace - Gray and Hailey's story, it gives background, but you can read this without reading previous chapters. It's a slow burn kind of story, Ethan is very patient with Kim and it takes time to figure things out but in the mean time there is still a threat, but no one realizes until it's almost too late. Had me on the seat of my pants while reading for sure. Definitely recommend.
Ethan and his team are routinely assigned ops where they rescue people but it was never personal before. Rescuing Kim, Hailey's friend, turned into a personal quest for Ethan. As a captive for two months she was assaulted, starved and forced to move from place to place on almost a daily basis. But she survived and Ethan's team has the utmost respect for her. This is a woman that makes him give up his one-night stand days. Kim realizes that she has something special with Ethan and cautiously decides to to see where their feelings take them.
Makenna Jameison has done it again. I loved reading this book. This book is a page turner, wanting to see what will happen next. Ethan “Everglades” Flannigan can not get the kidnapped Army Reservist, Kimberly Turner, out of his mind. Ethan’s Coronado Seal Team heads back the Middle East to rescue her, he can’t help but want to protect her....but will her captivity trauma be too much?? Read SEAL’s Revenge and find out. I loved this book and the updates on his other team mates as well.
Love this authors books.. Kimberly is a army reserve and when she's kidnapped while at the embassy in Afgani, her friends seal team are on the hunt to find her. She went thru hell for two months while in captivity. Ethan and his team are sent out to find her. There's plenty of action and drama when it's not over when she gets home. HEA. Received this book for a voluntary review.
I was so excited to read the next installment of the Alpha SEALs Coronado series . . . that I binge read it in a day! Yep, work went out the window and the book was the best escape I could have asked for! Wonderful to see the continuing story of Hailey and her friend Kim, as well as the other members of the team. Loved every minute of it and counting the days until book #5!
You know I just love this series from Makeanna..So interesting and enjoyable to read .I love the Alpha guys guys and their ladies along with them all.I always wait for the next oneto come out..Its got action, excitement and love ..all from a great story..Bravo to you Makeanna...Just everythng you want in a book.
Loved this fourth book in Makenna's new Seal Team series! She has a terrific way of weaving the entire team & their women into the current book. My only disappointment was it took me five days to read it because work, life interrupted my reading time. 😊 Can not wait to see how the remaining team members meet & rescue their chosen One!
Makenna Jameison’s fourth book in her series ‘Alpha SEALs Coronado’ is capturing everyone’s attention. There’s action, adventure and romance galore. Ethan and Kimberly, the main characters, mesh well together. Kimberly has been kidnapped by insurgents and it’s Ethan and his SEALs team to rescue her. This was an awesome read. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
Wonderful reading and I felt like I was standing next to everyone in your great novel, love every minute of it didn't want it to end. I want more of your insight again in your next adventure. So hurry and sit down and write that next book, can't wait!
He was determined to rescue her he chased her down after she ran he got her out of there and helped her get home she only felt safe with him he held her and she didn’t have nightmares he waited for her to be comfortable they had sizzling romance she took another job so they could be together
The books in this series are fun to read, and the hero rescues are satisfying. But they are pretty much all the same. Tall man rescues petite woman and instantly falls in love. Ethan and Kim are the focus of this story — I do enjoy the fact that the earlier couples are always part of the stories.
Makenna packs a punch in this kidnapping, hostage, terrorizing, page turning rescue with Ethan finding his one but does Kim feel the same after all she's been thru and when terror comes knocking again will they make it thru it. Loved it!!
I really enjoyed this book. Ethan and Kimberly were great together and they had plenty of chemistry. The story was well-written with an interesting storyline that had action, mystery, suspense, danger, twists/turns, emotions and romance.
Okay, I must say that after reading the 5 th book of the series, I love this author and her writing style. Sooo, I'm starting one of her other series while I wait for the one Alpha Seals Coronado book to be released. Don't think I'll be disappointed.
I'm a bit annoyed that all the guys through the series calls their love interests "sweetheart". It's cute, but I would have liked it better if they had different ones, to add a little more personalty. Especially since these books are set in the same "universe" and in the same friendgroup.
Wow I can't get enough of this series. This was action from beginning to the end. I love this story because the characters just draw you in. You are invested from page one. Awesome book.
Strong capable female protagonist, gentle but capable seal male protagonist. I sort of feel like this is the same plot as an earlier one just with the names changed. I will try another, but maybe not too soon.
It was better than the usual "seal book". I hate it when there is so much fawning over seals..There was some of that..but not enough to make me roll my eyes constantly. It was a quick, fun read.
