When Morgan Staten moves to the fairytale-themed town of Lookout Mountain, she never expects her life to turn into a modern-day version of Red Riding Hood. But when a vicious wolf attack and a mysterious stream lead to her befriending the five Wulver brothers, Morgan realizes the quaint town is harboring deadly secrets. She soon learns she’s descended from a special group of witches responsible for creating—and destroying—werewolves. Not only that, but she has powers herself, if she can only learn to tap into them. But she’s got two targets on her back, from the wolves who want her demise and the wolves who want her help. When an evil plot surfaces, Morgan must choose between the path of her ancestors and her newfound friendship with the wolves of Lookout Mountain, between breaking a curse and continuing it.

This book is an enchantingly fun read! With a truly magical cast of characters that are easy to love from one page to the next. Don’t be surprised if your appetite for this book rivals the delightful Wulvers’.
Morgan is an entertaining lens into the fairytale land Ms. Pace has crafted. Her spunk and curiosity kept me engaged, and just like her, I was invested in solving the mystery of the brothers. These fine, young gentlemen really made this book for me. Each one was interesting, fascinating, and downright lovable. You can truly feel their bond through every scene, and your heart will melt for them every single time.
I only wish we had more time dedicated to world-building and some of the other characters. I would have loved more scenes with Morgan’s family dynamic before the conflict took off, and more build up with the antagonists definitely wouldn't have hurt, either. All three had a solid foundation but as the plot progressed... they didn’t. One unfortunately got the short end of the stick. Which was a crying shame. He was intimidating and had a spine shivering aura about him that seemed to linger even when he had left the scene. The witches themselves paled in comparison to him but definitely had their own devious vibe, even if the younger one was overshadowed by her mentor.
The ending itself went out with a fizzle in my opinion. The build up was there, the stakes were high, but the climax seemed... convenient. It tied everything up in a nice neat bow and just didn’t leave me satisfied.
Despite this, I truly loved the experience. The novel left a lot of loose ends to explore and with this cast of characters I’m eagerly awaiting more in the future.
With a strong beginning, it felt like this book was going to be everything a reader could want. But opportunities with the characters were not sufficiently explored so that, by the end, the reader feels let-down and somewhat disappointed. I will continue on to the next book in the hope it will pick up the pace again. The possibilities are there!
Morgan Staten moves to Lookout Mountain and is placed in a position where she must, in effect, choose sides. She starts by befriending five Wulver brothers and becomes aware her town may have some deadly secrets still to come. Morgan is from a special line of witches who are responsible for both creating and destroying werewolves. She has powers which will eventually manifest, but we don’t see much happening in Book 1, so there is some excitement still to come.
Morgan is ultimately caught between wolves who want her dead and wolves who want and need her help. Which will she choose? Duty or friendship? Can the curse be broken?
This is a wonderful werewolf and witch book. I really enjoyed reading it with all the unexpected twists and turns keeping it moving along. The worldbuilding is fabulous and the characters, both friend and foe, were detailed and helped the story's progression. I loved that Morgan stayed true to the goodness in her heart rather than letting power and crazy witches go to her head. I found Morgan's introduction to her first day in a new school very interesting and cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

No Spoilers! Book 1 Wolves of Lookout Mountain - Werewolves, Witches, Young Adult
Chosen deliberately as a palate cleanser in between the darker reads I normally inhale, this book did not disappoint.
I found the main characters a delight especially The Wulver brothers. Morgan our FMC is likeable and relatable and you bond immediately with her. A fairly straight forward story arc but filled with plenty of action and some twists and turns.
Aimed for the younger audience the plot still entertained me and kept me turning the pages, guessing and wanting to know more. Book 2 is going to be read.
Morgan was not happy her father married Rebecca. She wasn’t happy with moving in with her. She really wasn’t happy with no junk food or eating in front of the tv. And Morgan wasn’t happy to leave her prestigious school to go to the local high school, Fairyland High School. Then she finds out that the fairytale theme may not be all make believe and that there is something special about her new friends, the Wulver brothers. And maybe there’s something special about Morgan too. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
The Enchanted Stream by Chynna Pace is a story that I have had the privilege to read and give my honest review I loved reading this story. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new story written by a brand new author for me to read and I can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, fantasy and suspense.

The book started off strong but the characters lacked details at times but overall it was a decent start to the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a ride! The story had me hooked from the first page. Great dialogue, fast-paced ya fantasy storyline with the perfect mix of humor and danger. Wow! Can't wait for Book 2. Bring it on! Will definitively be looking for more of this author's books.
If you're looking for a howling good time, this book has you covered. I seriously could not put this book down when I started. It was a highly addictive read that had me smiling the whole way through. All the leads are fantastic! Morgan is a delightful protagonist who's shy but sassy personality shines despite the colorful cast of side characters that are the Wulver Brothers. And trust me when I say these boys really made this book!! Each one holds such an infectious charm that it's damn near impossible to not fall in love with them. (Kai is best boy, do not at me!)
The main antagonists of the story just aren't as strong, though. Which is a real shame. Each one started out just as strong as Morgan and the brothers, but by the time we get to the, admittedly, lackluster ending, every one of the villains just fell flat. I would've loved to have seen more of them in the next installment, but as the ending stands, that's very unlikely.
I also wouldn't have minded seeing Morgan really come into her own with her powers. The magic system was interesting in concept, and we never really got to explore it. We get glimpses as Morgan begins to learn how to manifest, but it didn't feel like Morgan ever got a chance to showcase her newfound gifts.
That being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one!
