To say this book is well written would be an accurate description. Jane C. Rain has obviously poured her blood, sweat, and tears into this novel. Touching on injustice, prejudices, as well as stero-typing and all these issues are addressed in one way or another throughout the book. So there maybe trigger warnings for some people. Having said that, I do love this novel. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars. The chemistry is palipable and the story is well told. There are moments that will make you cry and some that may break your heart. But there are also plenty of hot and heavy scenes that will put this at a Manzano Pepper. That is not as hot as a Cayenne Pepper but hotter than a Jalepeno or Serrano pepper.
The story is one that touches on a lot of hard subjects, for that reason and what I had going on in my life at the time I had to step away for the book for a few weeks until I was in a better headspace to read it. I will say that once I picked it back up I couldn't put it down. There is mystrery, intrigue, romance, drama and life. Not everyone has a perfect life and some people have severe injustices done to them or someone they know. This book touches on that fact, and how life isn't always a bag of cookies for those with money.
I will recommend if you do enjoy Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that you have some handy when reading this book, because the main female lead in the book has quite the addiction to the chocolatity peanut buttery goodness that is them. On a side note if you haven't ever eatten them frozen, I HIGHLY recommend it! I would also recommend this book to people who prefer a romance that has outside pressures and not just the characters messing up their own realtionship.
I hope this has helped you find your next Tantalizing Tome.
