I bought this book because I was mesmerized by the presentation style of the website and the sample PDF. After reading it, I can confirm that the quality of the content matches the quality of the visual presentation. I fully recommend this to anyone who is working on digital products. I am a mobile app developer myself, and the lessons from this book will serve me for decades to come, because a lot of lessons are based on universally valid rules of good design, even relating to how humans evolved to prefer specific visual styles (like gradients, because everything in nature is a gradient - that was a particularly nice insight and "aha" moment). I'll let you discover the rest by reading this, totally worth it.

Decent overview of current best practices directly related to UI design that would benefit a newbie or a developer. The visual presentation was very well done. However, there were a lot of grammatical errors and a few places where the visual elements were even misaligned or cut off (not a great look for a book about visual perfection). But this is a strong base that can easily be updated as new trends and practices continue to change.

It would be great if they could take a more advanced perspective around auditing, tokens, and design system code incorporation. Maybe that's another book for the future.

Already knew most of it, but that didn’t mean I didn’t learn a few tricks. Definitely recommend to new UI designers.
