When faced with danger, which do you ask for protection from a violent organization or risk it and run?
Chloe Daniels had a choice to make after finding a single piece of paper she wasn’t supposed to see.
Her only hope at escaping the monsters now hunting her? The Auckland Kings Crime Family. Or more specifically, Hunter King. Cold. Angry. Callous.
The one thing she hadn’t anticipated was just how much the man assigned to watch her could hate her on sight.
Can Chloe make it to the end of her vacation without pushing Hunter too far, or will she end up risking the danger without him?
Book 2 of The Auckland Kings Crime Family
The Auckland Kings Crime Family series is a mafia romance M/F trilogy with each book following a different couple. Each book ends in a HEA and can be read separately, but please note these books contain mature content and may include references to violence, attempted assault, abuse, and other themes that some readers may find triggering.
USA Today Bestselling Author A.J. Macey has an addiction to coffee, cats, and swearing. Sucks at adulting and talking to people, so she'll frequently be lost in a book or running away with her imagination when she's not spending time with her husband, daughter, or two cats Thor and Loki. A.J. has a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and previous coursework in Forensic Science, Behavioral Psychology, and Cybersecurity. Before becoming an author, A.J. worked as a Correctional Officer in a jail where she met her husband. She started writing just for fun when she was little and continued to create stories for years until finally sitting down to finish and publish a book in 2018!
*Since Theo's book isnt up and I finished it earlier, this is a placeholder in my challenge
Another fast paced m/f pairing from A.J Macey. This is the follow up to Liam and it set not long after it. So it should be read first. Chloe gets ends up under the protection of Hunter who doesn't want to me on "babysitting" duty. Quite honestly, he's not very nice to her and for me, they didn't quite click the same as Liam and Harper. Plenty of action and a sweet ending
Absolutely fantastic. Have you ever been on an adventure somewhere new, hitting up all the tourist spots, but there's always that voice at the back of your mind warning you what could possibly go wrong? Yeah... AJ Macey wows again with the tale of how the middle Auckland King Crime Family brother gets his turn with an American gal who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Liam and Harper's story was riveting, and Hunter definitely has me hooked on the mafia men ;)
Hunter is book 2 in the Auckland Kings Family series and it follows on quickly from his brothers book - Liam. Hunter and Chloe get entangled together when Chloe gets mugged. Which leaves her with information that can help the Kings but it leaves Chloe in a dangerous situation & Hunter as her baby sitter. The banter and relationship between Hunter and Chloe was not only funny in parts but it made the book for me. The steam did hurt either. A great read that i enjoyed reading
Action packed with a bit of heat thrown in and a well written, shortish type, story. Like Liam this is a male/female story not a reverse harem like A.J. Macey usually writes. Characters are interesting and the storyline is entertaining. Can't wait to see which Auckland King will fall next.
Loved it. This was so good. It’s fast paced, action packed, and will not let you down. I loved the story and the chemistry of the characters. You don’t have to read Liam to get this one. But I would since situations and characters cross over.
Three words come to mind when I think of Hunter - broody, moody and swoony. Tasked to protect Chloe a witness and victim of the phantoms. It's short, fast paced and action packed story set in Auckland backstreets. Great book
Fast paced and sexy with a FMC and MC you want to read about. Well written and the story is unpredictable. I love the twist at the end as well! Can't wait for the next!
Another mind blowing good book from this amazing author. I love these characters. I though I loved the first set but I think these are now my favorites. Amazing.
Fast paced action packed read. I didn't connect as well with these characters as I did with the main characters in book 1 but it still was an enjoyable read.
This book part two of the Auckland Kings series and it was honestly so fast paced i was shocked when it ended. Such a brilliant addition to the series cant wait for more!
This was a very fast paced book. It starts up not too long after the ending of Liam. I loved Chloe and thought she was a good fit for Hunter, even though they didn’t really see eye to eye a lot of the time. I can’t wait to see who Theo’s leading lady is going to be and how his story is going to go down!
