The alien she's hot for seems to hate her. But when they touch, sparks fly. Will their growing love survive a dangerous quest?

Emma: I’m pretty sure Teran hates me. Why else would this scarred dragon warrior avoid touching me, talking to me, or being around me? Yet when we’re sent on a quest to find a long-lost cache of precious stones that could save the kingdom, I’ll be flying for weeks in his arms. I have to guard my heart. Otherwise, he’ll break it.

Teran: I am crazy about Emma, and I long to touch her, to bring about the Torrent—the ancient Driegon mating ritual. Our quest will throw us together, and it will be torture to hold myself back, but if I give in, I could endanger her life. But when rival factions attack, determined to keep us from finding the stones, I'll do whatever it takes to protect her.

TERAN is Book 4 in the Brides of Driegon series. This standalone, full-length romance has on-the-page heat, aliens who look and act alien, a guaranteed happily ever after, no cheating, and no cliffhanger. Look for the series on Amazon.

AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. The Temple of Doom!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚❤️💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍
Character development: ☺️🤭😳😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Emma - after a mysterious illness wiped out most of the male population of Earth, the humans looked to the stars for love. Human women signed up to mate with different types of aliens throughout the universe. Emma decided to go to Krakar and went underground to meet the Driegon warriors. She was an archeologist and she liked Teran from the start.

The Hero: Teran - He only wanted to help his brother and save him from dying. The curse said that every second son of their family would die within a month of the torrent (which is what happens to the Driegon when they find their fated mates). His brother found his mate and the torrent had begun so time is short.

The Story: Emma was turned down by Teran but she couldn’t get him off her mind. Emma and Teran were trying to help his brother Rash who was cursed. They went on an expedition to find a cache of long-lost Zelina stones to fix a sacred staff. Once restored, the elder promised she could break the curse of the second son of their family.

I have to admit, I liked the Indiana Jones references and plot. They ended up in a Temple of Doom sort of place where they had to go through all kinds of dangerous tests in order to get to the stones they were seeking. I am not too fond of the Driegon’s tricocks, which come together into one large package when things get steamy. Just a bit weird for me and I kept picturing snakes.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tawnia Murray and Teddy Hamilton. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male narrators, he has a deep sexy voice and always does a terrific job. Tawnia Murray also does a great job, her voice is clear and feminine with a bit of a scratchy quality which I like.

4.5 Stars!
Teran is such a delicious, fabulous end to the Brides of Driegon series. If you are a fan of Ava’s, you have probably been eagerly awaiting broody Teran’s story and for him to find his own Torrent mate. Well, hold onto your hats!! This is a doozy!

This story is absolutely loaded with action and adventure and is a wonderful tribute to the iconic Indiana Jones movies. Of course, Ava has added her signature style to transform the ideas to fit an incredibly vivid alien world. Our protagonists find themselves searching for a lost spiritual artifact while navigating various landscapes, fighting alien creatures, exploring ruins, solving puzzles, and escaping villains, all while on a massive time crunch. There is something exciting happening every minute of this book and I love it.

I loved Teran and Emma and their fun, playful banter; so many laugh-out-loud moments with language and cultural confusion (which is one of my favourite things about the Alien romance genre). I also adored the exquisite suspense caused by their miscommunication and personal baggage early in the story. This book is also wonderfully steamy and gorgeously romantic; it really makes you yearn for your own sexy, sweet, and buff alien lover.

I also have to give a big nod to Ava for the wonderful epilogue where she again looks after her readers by giving them a beautiful peek into the Driegon-Human couple’s HEAs. I absolutely love this as a HEA can make or break a book for me, so reading such sweet and informative glimpses into their lives further down the track is my new catnip.

The Brides of Driegon series is recommended to readers who enjoy romance, sci-fi, aliens or just want a great read for some escapism. I cannot wait to see where Ava takes us next after her sneaky hints in this latest epilogue.

I loved this! Indie Emma and the Temple of Teran

Well what a way to end the series! I loved this book! It was really cool how it was like a Indiana Jones movie 🤣😂. I went into this book with very low expectations considering Rashe’s book but this book was a very nice surprise! At first Teran was really pissing me off. I mean naturally I knew how he felt but he went to extremes to be standoffish. Also he was extremely stupid. So was Emma. I’m going to put it out there. Sorry if this sounds discriminatory but if you’re on the verge of war with the Zoads and you’re going on a super secret mission why god are you going to buy stuff from them on your way out of town? Why not have one of the guard buy it that way no one sees who is with you, who is going on the mission and which direction you’re headed and what time of day you left? I mean this is common sense stuff people. Also, Emma... if you see someone treat you like trash then once you get an item then you see them run out of their house and watch your flight as you leave then flee down and alley you don’t think that’s suspicious? Also you don’t mention it? Another common sense moment. 🤷🏽‍♂️😤🤦🏽‍♂️. I liked the action that was found in this book; Emma could kick some butt... but once again we learn a valuable lesson... NEVER leave enemies alive. Another common sense thing. Secret missions you’re overwhelmed by massive numbers yet somehow you prevail... why leave them alive? Try that with me... see what happens 💀☠️👻👻. I found it funny that no matter what was going,on these two could stop for nookie lol. It was go time 😂🤣 I couldn’t stop laughing at that. I loved Merrill so much! Omg I loved him so much! He was hilarious. I’m so happy things were tidied up at the end. This was a great series all in all. It had its hiccups but I enjoyed it. This book definitely gets 5 cosmic stars from me. 💥💥💥💥💥

5🌟stars for Teran and Emma💞💖💞

Another great series from Ava Ross comes to a close and I have to say this was one of my favorites. I loved Emma an archeologist who decides to become a bride to start a new life for herself. She has some baggage in her last but those life experiences have made her a strong capable woman who is smart, intelligent , loyal and tough. She's also got a kickass sense of humor! She is going to an adventure to save her friends mate from a fatal curse with the Driegon warrior her heart has chosen. Emma is worried however that her feelings are one-sided and she will have to look elsewhere for her happily ever after. Teran is Rashe brother. He will not allow himself to have a mate of a true life until he has found away to save his brother from the curse. He has tried to keep away from Emma, he knows that she is his but he believes he's unworthy of taking her as a mate until he resolves the curse. Emma in turn thinks he doesn't want her at all and she's about to give up and move on. When they are forced to go on a mission to find a special jewel to break the curse to an end. What they find on this journey is that life is precious and denying the one you love for any reason is a waste of precious time you may regret! A fabulous ending to a great series. Fantastic chemistry between the characters, terrific storyline highly recommend you'll enjoy the entire ride and want a Dragon of your very own.💘💞💖💞💘💞💖💘💞💘💞💖💖💞💘💞💖

the author saved the best for last. a fantastic series ending with a terrific plot of two ppl hurt by their pasts that have trouble accepting they deserve love. one who feels she is a misfit and one who feels because he couldn't save a friend that he will hurt the one he loves so while emma is desperate to touch teran he resists constantly which makes u want to just smack him because come on he was a kid when the incident happened. but we often don't see the truth when its right there and it takes almost dying, escaping from would be kidnappers and a lot of challenges happening on their quest for them to wake up and smell the coffee so to speak.
great well developed believable characters that make your heart melt and make u cheer for them to find true love all set in a fabulous make believe world that is so real and fabulously laid out u want to go see it for yourself. the animals, plants and planet environment along with the driegons symbiotic relationship with the creatures of their world is really excellently done.
this series was truly a delight to read and I hope someday the author revisits this world when more human brides arrive. highly recommended.

I have to give the author kudos for writing characters that didn’t get bogged down in the overtly angst sessions that occur when the two leads don’t communicate. That said I think in this case it made for a bit of a boring read for me. Emma and Teran seemed to have observed each other a lot and were able to understand what made the other person tick, however they still acted like immature tweens around each other. Their mouths were saying the right things but their actions were so different. I lost interest pretty quickly as things seemed so stilted and a little too neat to really get me immersed in the story.

The action at times seemed a little predictable and contrived to make Teran’s resistance seem plausible. There were a few moments that I did get briefly connected to the story but for the most part I just didn’t get that really deep immersion that I was hoping for. So while the story didn’t grab me the story it may prove more entertaining to others.

👽 “I would do anything for this female as long as she kept looking at me like I was her world.”
~~~
What a wild adventure this story is!
Emma is such an awesome character. She might feel like she doesn’t fit in the general expectations, but she’s one feisty, smart, compassionate and bad-ass female. She can survive in any situation and has the skills to protect the ones she cares about. I loved her so much!
Teran is pretty awesome, too. He’s protective, strong, honorable and willing to do everything to break his brother’s curse. And he gets so sweet and mushy when it comes to Emma!
I really loved their relationship - the banters, the support and the protectiveness. Their chemistry was really great and so deliciously steamy.
This story is such a magnificent finale of the series. I love the awesome glimpses we get of the Driegon world with all the new creatures and sights. There is action, danger, adventure, drama, humor, romance, suspense, steam and strong and awesome characters.
I absolutely loved it!
Teran and Emma's Story . . .
Emma cannot figure why Teran seems to dislike her. He is the one she is attracted to, but he goes out of his way to avoid any touching or even talking with her. Now that Emma and Teran will be on a quest together seeking the Windra stone to remove the family curse, they will be in very close proximity. He is trying to avoid the Torrent, the ancient Driegon mating ritual that will bind them as mates, because he is afraid he would hurt her.
The two of them are up against others trying to prevent them from getting what they are after. Emma shows him that she has a warrior heart and spirit and is a good partner as she cares for him when he is hurt. Will he finally understand and take her as his mate? Has she proven herself to him that she is tougher than she might have appeared?
This was a good story, very enjoyable. Grab your copy and see how their quest turns out. If it leads to a HEA, I’d call that a success!
Teran wants to save his clechmate Rashe from a curse, in order to do so he must go and find a new stone for the Windra stick. Emma was a archaeologist on earth and offers to go with him. Teran doesn’t want her to, he knows she is his torrent mate but feels he can’t claim her until Rashe is saved. Emma is sick of waiting, however when she nearly dies Teran changes his mind, he wants to torrent with her. It’s only when Rashe is shot that Emma finally touches him and they torrent. Unfortunately they can’t do much, they have tasks to do before they can get a new stone, and then there are others trying to kill them to prevent them from returning with a stone.
This book has great world building, some wonderful characters, lots of action, creativity, fated mates and finally a happily ever after ending guaranteed.
I haven't read any of the other books in the Brides of Driegon series but Ava Ross does a great job getting the new reader up to speed with the premise of the books. When Emma signed up to become a Driegon bride from Earth, she thought Teran was the perfect match for her, but he has done everything he can to ignore and stay away from her. Emma is giving this one last try by helping Teran to find a stone and return to the Driegon capital to save his brother's life. Teran isn't happy about the situation, but he will do his best to keep his distance even though he feels she is the one for him. I love Emma, she is strong, independent, determined, and able to take care of herself, which is a big surprise to Teran. Through it all the book is well paced, has tons of steamy tension, action, and a few twists. Fortunately, I have KU, so I can read the rest of the series for free. Solid 4 Star Read
Exciting Quest
Tehran’s brother Rashe may have only 30 days to live unless someone retrieves a zilena stone to restore the Windra stick that was originally used to curse their ancestors. He and Emma start on the quest, with Teran covering every inch of skin except his tail and face. Emma is exasperated because she thinks he’s her mate and they can’t find out unless he touches her.
As an archaeologist, Emma feels she can offer valuable assistance in this quest. In addition, Miska, the elderly Zoad who has possession of the Windra stick, insisted that she go with Teran.
During their flight to the valley of the zilena stones, they are attacked by a group of Zoads led by the same man who attempted to kill Kruze and abduct his mate Clara.
This was an exciting book that featured Teran and Emma. Do they finally Torrent? Do they make it to the valley? Can they do it all before Rashe runs out of time? Grab a copy and find out the answers for yourself. Great job Ms. Ross!
Emma is prepared to utilize her archaeological skills on a mission to bring a sacred stone back in order to break a curse, but the poor thing doesn't get a chance (but instead, has to do some rather Indiana Jones-eque anti-archaeology, to cite her namesake). It turns out the skills she was needed for weren't her archaeological skills, but her wilderness and survival skills. And ability to move fast and befriend cute furry creatures. Which is good, because later she displays a cringe-worthy lack of archaeological skills.
Teran is just like his cousin, and does the same thing for which he criticizes his cousin. He's convinced that due to who he is, or more specifically his position, initiating the torrent will place Emma in danger. But Emma's pretty hardcore, and as we learned, has led a unique and shocking life.
Teran, the scarred, brooding brother of Rashe, is up next and he doesn't make things easy for poor Emma. He's a little surly, a lot standoffish, and he practically runs whenever Emma looks in his direction. So when an Elder tasks Teran to go after a sacred stone to break his brother's curse AND take Emma with him,well, the guy isn't thrilled.
He does it, mind you, because he's a stand-up guy under his scowl and he would do anything for his brother, but it takes a lot for Emma to pry answers out of him. Once he unburdens himself, however, he doesn't look back.
With these two treasure hunting in a far-off cavern, we get a lot of thrilling heroics, more than a few close calls, and a whole lot of steam and sparks between these two. Because you can't deny that Torrent, amirite?!?!
“Emmaline Indiana Jones and Teran in the Quest for the Windra Stick Zilena Stone” - almost sounds like a movie ( complete with music playing in the background). It was so entertaining watching these two embark on their quest while trying to fight what was going on between them. I really enjoyed the playful banter and the never ending misunderstanding of human versus Dreigon terms. The underground alien world with all of its unique creatures were so vividly described that I almost felt like I was right there as well. This was a very satisfying read all around with a wonderful bridge to the next series with another group of aliens.
The final book in this wonderful series is about Emma and Teran's romantic adventure as they look for the zilena stones to mount on the sacred windra stick to remove the family curse. Again we have engaging characters - Emmaline Indiana Jones, archaeologist, (Named by her father who was a Navy Seal and prepper who taught her survival skills.) who signed up for the Driegon lottery and longs to torrent with Teran and Teran, Driegon, who is fighting his need to torrent with Emma. Overall we have a engaging storyline - find the stone before Rashe dies, and arresting interactions with steamy romance, and with adventure and action that kept me turning the pages in this ARC I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.
Having read all four of the books in this series, Teran was definitely worth the wait. Really good world building, with MC’s to root for, I was totally caught up in the romance, storyline and outcome of this book.
I have my fingers crossed that Ms. Ross will come back to the Brides of Driegon to write the next round of stories with the arrival of more brides from earth. I would say this is a really great sci-fi romance with a grand adventure, just enough smexy times, danger and it kept me flipping the pages to get to the end. Ava Ross is now in my “must buy” list.
I am so sad that this series has come to an end. I have loved the Driegon and to be honest I am a total sucker for the dark brooding ones. Teran has taken on the guilt for an accident that he could not prevent, added to that the curse on his brother who has finally claimed his mate and finding his owbn mate it has all taken a toll on the royal guardsman. Emma has been in love with Teran since she first saw him. She truly sees him but she cannot free him until he let's himself accept the past. There is a hope that the curse can be lifted and they are just the two to do it but at what price? Definitely on my to be re-read list
So, so good. Fantastic end to this series. I loved everything from Emma and Teran to the world Ava describes. I honestly wasn't sure that this would beat the previous books in the series simply because I never really got Emma and Teran. Man, I was I wrong! There were so many times that Emma made me laugh and how she was able to take care of herself (and Teran!) when he was hurt - it was amazing. Even if you don't read any other book in this series (and you would be missing out!) be sure to check out this one. Fun, bit of drama, humor and plenty of heat.
This book is a wonderful end to this 4 book series. Emma and Teran are on a quest to find the lost Windra stone to remove a curse on his clutch mate, Rashe. They soon realize that there are others who are trying to stop them.
Emma and Teran both feel they would torrent if they touched. Emma wants to touch Teran to see if they will but Teran does not want to try. He wants to wait until it is the ‘perfect’ time to do so.
This story has some great characters, romance, lots of action, adventure, drama, humor and ends in an HEA.
What an ending to a great series! Emma and Teran's story is everything that I want to read. He's holding back because of the curse and because he feels he's unworthy and she really likes him and all but throws herself at him but is ready to throw the towel in when they're tasked with the quest to help save his brother. Thrown together and with danger following them, it's unavoidable that Teran finally admits how he really feels about Emma. Tons of action, adventure and danger, in a style reminiscent of the Indiana Jones adventures, but with an alien flair all her own, a must read. Bravo!
WHAT AN ADVENTURE
I am heartbroken! This is the end of the Brides of Driegon. I love the stories in this series. I am so looking forward to the next series Ava Ross writes for us. This tale has a lot of Indiana Jones action and a special romance. Emma and Teran surprise each other and I thought they were perfectly matched. Teran is the only one that Emma has shown interest in but he spurns her advances. He denies her though he is sure she is his mate. When they are sent on an important mission and they have to work together, can he continue to deny her?
Good
Emma and Teran must fight against time as they rush to find a stone that can be used to destroy the curse that afflicts Teran’s brother.
The fourth book in the Driegon series is part of an ongoing storyline, though it could be read as a standalone, it would read best when read as part of the series.
This exciting read, finishes up the plot begun in Rashe’s story, ties up a few loose ends from the first few books, and gives Teran and Emma their happily ever after. It also sets up the Ferlaern Warriors storyline at the very end!
An enjoyable sci-fi romance, with a little action adventure thrown in.
Emma and Teran's story is the best.
Finally! I have wanted Teran and Emma's story right from the start. They are perfect together. And Merrill is so much more than he appears and I loved him and his little 'acts' against Teran. There is definitely poetic justice in what happens to Welur.
I adored all four of this Brides of Driegon series by Ava Ross but this is my fave. The world-building is absolutely brilliant and the Driegon males are incredible and so hot. And they are descended from dragons!!
This entertaining story was well-written story by one of my favorite authors with interesting, well-crafted characters. This book 4 in the Brides of Driegon Book Series was engaging and has well-thought out scenes, characters, and story. These characters have strong wills, personalities and believable interactions. This story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. It is a well-paced and entertaining book from start to finish.
Last book in this series. Emma has felt a connection to Teran since she saw him but he's not letting her get close enough to touch him. But now Teran and Emma are on an adventure to find the Windra stone. Teran doesn't want to go into his turrant as he doesn't want to hurt Emma. These two were so amazing. I hate to see this series end but this book was a fantastic book to end on. Drama, humor, fun, suspense and steam. Emma and Teran had the roughest time getting to their Torrent stage. I thought their story was especially good because of everything they had to go through. Teran got to really see the real Emma and to appreciate her. It was hard reading the book because I knew it was the last of the Dreigon Bride books in this series and who wants to say goodbye to characters you have grown to love reading about? All the same, I loved it.
Emma and Teran get together in this book. Both have serious feelings for each other before they even go on this mission. He seems to be ignoring her, but he really wants to keep her safe. They feel the pull of the Torrent ritual, but so much action happens before they get there. The characters and storyline were terrific. The twists and surprises were keeping the edge going while the romance was going after your heartstrings. Loved the grand ending for the series. Very well done.
Ava Ross has done it again! Teran surpasses the expectations I had. While I love her books this book has become a favorite. Delving into the characters psyche and having all the adventures has made this book amazing. This whole series is one I recommend but this book is the best for me. Teran and Emma working through their pasts and finding ways to lean on each other to persevere makes this book great. The amount of twist with the Indiana Jones theme of finding the treasure were awesome!
I knew I was going to absolutely LOVE Emma and Teran’s story! The crazy adventure they go on is so full of action, danger, humor, puzzles and new deadly creatures. I loved every word of it and seriously can’t wait for more books by Ava Ross! Her writing is fantastic, her characters are amazing and loveable and her world building is better than any I’ve read before. I highly recommend this book, this series and all of her work.
