STORY:
I have not read the previous books, so it took sometime to fully understand what the plot was about and what was going on. This was interesting and intense at times, not in a bad way. There was action, wild sex and sexy beasts that made this story entertaining.


ENJOYMENT / CHEMISTRY:
Nicolina and Akuma, wow, sexually, they are intense. I think my satisfaction at first was ok, because it took to long for them to physically interact with each other. However, telepathically and in their dreams, there was still intimacy and a connection that was still worth the read. Akuma, is your typical Alpha male of his kind he was possessive and dominant over his mate Nicolina. Nicolina was ok at first, but I began to like her.


SECONDARY CHARACTERS
So many characters and I figure that the already mated had their previous story.


Overall, not bad, I like it even though it took me some time to follow and that’s because I did not have an understanding from the pervious books. I feel like this still can me a standalone though once you understand the plot. I like Akum and Nicolina sexually as their chemistry was satisfying.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

'Alpha's Mate' is the third book in Piper Stone's "Alpha Beasts" series. I suppose it could be read as a standalone but truthfully reading these books in the order the author intended will give you so many more details and provide the reader with so much more enjoyable. The overall plot has been building. The dissident groups are getting larger. The life expectancy timeline is running out faster than previously anticipated. Imagine being the son of the Alpha, a white tiger, having the legends of old pushed onto you, and continually told the survival of the race will fall on your shoulders! NOT, he wants no part of this human race. Now imagine finding out everything you thought you knew your entire life was a lie and you'd been used by your own family. Complete devastation for a weak personality. Piper Stone has given us a powerful read that brings all these things into being wrapped up in chemistry the heat literally jumps off the screen of the kindle. I loved this and hope we get to see the story between the Beta and the sister next.

What a wonderful continuation to this Alpha beast and Human mating series
This was another wonderful continuation to the series, the complexity of the interaction between the breeds and the humans that were in some cases trying to co-exist and yet as always there were those humans and Beasts alike that would be traitor to their own with total disregard for life.
Nicolina was a teacher at one of the schools and she loved nothing more than teaching her little ones that had come to her with psychological problems after they had seen atrocities and had been left damaged. They had come to the school for the help the teachers and the methods they taught to overcome this scaring and would allow them to continue living a normal life.
She had always known from a child that she had a special relationship with animals and also had known that the way the breeds had been treated by the humans and the chemical they had developed that had wiped out chances for both human and the breeds to have young without this toxin being eradicated there was no real hope for either human or animal species to grow in number without procreation.
Akuma and Nicolina had been having dreams and had been seeing each other and also had even experienced some very intermate moments, he knew from reports by other Alphas that there were some special humans like Luca’s mate that were able to breed and in doing so had helped save the rest of his pack.
Akuma knew that she was his destined mate and that he would have to take her and then this would allow them to breed, she knew that there was something happening to her, her psychic abilities were growing and she knew that even her sister was l.
This Beast, this white tiger had to take his beauty and together with the other breeds would be able to change history. There was goodness in both humans and Beasts but to find them and to trust had to be done carefully as there were those who would kill them as easy as breathing.

Holy hotcakes. You have got to love an author that isn't afraid to give you a down and dirty, steamy may need to change by panties s3x scene within the first few pages of reading this book. PS isn't one for a slow-burn and I for one day 'Thank you'. If you like that first scene than it only gets better.

Now don't go being Judgey McJudgerson and think that the book is trash just because of the first scene (book by the cover people). This book is by my fav Mistress of the dub-con and Queen of the Spanksters so there will be more steamy scenes to follow, but the girl can write a story.

In a world where humans have polluted the environment with a toxin that forces beasts to shift into human forms, humans have started to subjugate the poor Breeds and experiment on them. All they want is to be left alone, but fear is strangle bedfellow. Some humans want to kill the Breeds, while others want to help. They all need to help each other. The alphas of the Breeds realize they need their human mates and they will stop at nothing to get them. You get the picture from here. I really like this storyline PS has created and have enjoyed the other shifter stories from it. This one is just as hot and possessive as the others.

Alpha’s Mate is part of the Alpha Beasts Series. I will start out with: this is one of my favorite authors but I really had a difficult time with this story, it was I guess maybe a little too futuristic for me, I had not read any of the other books of the series so I felt kind of out there not really in toon with it. But, there were parts of the story that I did grasp and truly enjoyed, other parts I was just pretty much confused, but then again some parts I was thinking Whoa, Wait, What, Um this sounds a lot like what’s going on in todays world? Maybe I needed to read more of the series? The story had a lot of drama, danger, betrayal, trust issues and some insanely intense sexual scenes. I did like the chemistry between the characters! Plus the fact that both leading characters were very domineering strong forces. I gave this ***** stars because I’ve enjoyed this authors writing style and that the author kept it on tract, with a continual even flow which is very important in keeping me interested and reading a story. Piper Stone writes incredible sex scenes between her dominant Alpha heroes and their fierce women. This book is no exception. This entire series is a story of hope, and beautifully crafted. The books are better read together, but each can be read as a stand alone. I recommend this one for any fans of paranormal romance.

Piper I love your stories all of them.....this one seemed as if it dragged a bit for me. I enjoyed the characters and it was intriguing but I felt as if I had read this story before .....by you! Yes there was some aspects that differed but honestly it seemed as if the Beasts all have the same story. Would you mind mixing it up a bit? The story was enjoyable, it just had a bit too much filler that was not really needed. Your writing style speaks for itself and you definitely know how to weave a story that is engaging and beautiful and I must admit that this had all the elements and characteristics of you. I like that when I read a story you have written I already know that I am going to enjoy it. Believe me when I say this; you write the story the way that you want to write your stories, they are yours; I am not saying it to be mean or to discredit any of your works, I am saying this to you as a faithful reader, one who will invest her time and money in supporting you in the future.

This book seemed like there was so much going on that it was a little confusing. To be honest, at first I was thinking that she had been raped and I wasn't interested in reading the book.

I have to admit that I proceeded with caution. I had to start out reading the first few pages over before I realized that Nicotine was experiencing a dream sequence, a vision, or a connection with her Alpha mate, Akuma. They definitely had a level of chemistry. I did like that he talked to her. They had actual conversations about what was happening.

But, as I read further, the book became more interesting and the pace picked up. There was such a similarity between the events in the book and current events. The book was full of action, danger, suspense, and betrayal. The storyline became a little convoluted. I felt like I wasn't completely following or understanding parts of the storyline.

I had mixed feelings about this book. This is one I would recommend you read and judge for yourself. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received via Booksprout.

This story was brilliant to read, and i absolutely loved it to pieces. I really do enjoy this authors paranormal shifter books, and as this is the third book in the series it was more exciting to learn more about whats going on and to see if war between humans, and shifters can really be stopped?

Nicolina as always been told that she was special, but she really didnt believe it at all. But now she was having dreams, that a dangerous hungry man/tiger was coming for her claiming that she was his. Then one night after teaching at the school he came to her, punishing her claiming her. She soon discovers that he sister is behind some of the experiments and that she was one. Meanwhile Akuma claims her as his and the war is closer than ever. Akuma discovers that there is a traitor in the midst of his clan. Is it who it is?

A must read at all costs!! 5 stars

This is book three of the series. If you haven't read the first two book, I recommend that first. Otherwise, you are going to be confused. Akuna is the Tiger Alpha. He is also a rare white tiger. Nicolina is a teacher for small children. Nicolina has been dreaming of Akuma for years. Now, the dreams are becoming more frequent and are very confusing for Nicolina. Akuna is also dreaming of Nicolina and he wants her to be his. Akuna is a bit of an a** because he keeps telling Nicolina that he owns her. Anyways the mission to save the Breeds, and if they save the humans along the way, ok. I do think that there was some repetitiveness, but overall the book was good. I'm not sure if this is the last book or not because everything was wrapped up quickly.

I loved this story, I liked that my whole understanding of shifters has changed. I thought they were human shifting to animals but some where animals that shifter to humans to adapt to their new circumstances. There were scenes that were hot, and others that were just amazing to read. I read to be entertained and this story did that for me, but I also saw a cautionary tale mixed in, maybe I read into too much.......The characters were well developed and I could feel their emotions. The interaction between beasts and humans was well written, and I understand the hesitation. The story for me flowed and I thought this was a very good story. I am going to go back and revisit the other books in the series. This was a great story.

The visions for Nicolina are only getting stronger leaving her aching and wanting. With the dissidents out to eradicate the breeds, the time has come for Akuma to claim his mate. Nicolina soon learns how quickly Akuma can turn her punishment into the wickedest pleasure as he claims her fully over and over. With a traitor in his midst, Akuma will have to earn Nicolina’s trust as their lives depend on them working together and as the danger closes in, there will be lives lost on both sides as the fighting escalates. With their enemies growing stronger by the day, the Breeds will have to act fast to not only save their kind but the fate of the country as the dissidents prepare to go to the extreme to complete their mission.

Just too much going on
Firstly I’d like to say that I am a huge fan of Piper Stone and have enjoyed every book I have read from her but this one, I just found so confusing. Was she dreaming or was this real?? I didn’t really get the connection between them either. Yes she enjoyed the sex but It just didn’t feel right, it was there yet. Then there was the disease and the breeds and the humans at war there was just too much going on for me so I’m really really sorry but I have to be honest in my reviews and give this three stars I totally look forward to your next book. I enjoy the style of your writing but this one just didn’t come together for me.

Nicolina is obsessed with tigers. She is having dreams about a man. The dreams are beyond x-rated. Akuma is also having similar dreams. Nicolina comes to know that she is to be Akuma's mate. She is resistant for a long time. Akuma is trying to save his streak and expose the traitor within his midst who is passing information to the dissidents. Nicolina has such unexpected yearning for Akuma. Akuma and Nicolina begin a journey to make her mating with him a permanent change. In the mean time they must save his streak and alert the president to the dangers from the dissidents. The chemistry between Nicolina and Akuma is off the charts hot. Great romantic read with a suspenseful plot.

Nicolina and Akuma's story is the 3rd installment in the series. Nicolina's always been fascinated by tigers, especially the white tiger, known as the Alpha. As she's grown older, she's dreamt of him. Then she hears him in her mind. Akuma knows she's his mate and that she can be the salvation of his Streak, like the other female mates were. She fought him to retain herself, but that was fruitless, because they fated. Akuma needs to keep her and the rest of his streak safe, while trying to find a cure for the disease that's killing both the breeds and the humans. Loved it. Great characters and storyline. Loved the worldbuilding, full of action and adventure, a must read.

A disease is threatening to end the existence of both humans and breeds but hope is coming from the most unlikely source. The story also has Akuma finding Nicolina, his mate and his attempts to seduce and protect her at the same time. There is a lot going on in this story and there is danger lurking everywhere but in the end they preserver and both humans and breeds are saved. It is an interesting read that is full of action, danger and betrayal. I enjoyed the story and would recommend it as a good read.

Not as great as Piper Stones other stories. The disease is threatening to end the existence of both humans and breeds but there is hope from an unlikely source. Akuma finds Nicolina, his mate, and with his attempts to seduce and protect her at the same time. There is so much going on in the story that it gets confusing and there is danger everywhere. There is action, danger and betrayal and their seuallity was intense. I liked the story but it took awhile for me to get into the story. It helps if you have read the other books. Alpha’s Mate

The 3rd story in this series.it is another amazing story there love story not as clean cut as the other ones but with everything they went through brought them together stronger than they were in the beginning Akamai and Nicolina’s love story was troubled throughout their journey but in the end it was so much stronger for everything they went through.. I hope that this was not the last of last story of this series because I would love to find out about Brandon & Yasmine story also do the other Alpha’s do they still have to mate with human’s or is that all over with now that a vaccine 💉 has been made?

I thoroughly enjoyed this.
The Breeds and humans are both fighting for survival as species. Of course many humans decide the best time to exterminate the Breeds !!
When tiger alpha Akuma finds his human mate Nicolina everything really hits the fan.
I enjoyed the reveal about aspects of the scientists work and can totally believe the horrific 'experiments' on both species.
We've done it before and will do it again.

Great Writer but this book was 👎

I usually like books by Piper Stone.
This book though....smh
Lord have mercy.
The best thing I can say about it is that the Grammer was good.
This book was, I'm guessing, supposed to be a type of BDSM kinda thing.
No.
It was basically Rape, and I don't say that lightly.
But then there was all types of back stories and stuff, I had no idea what it was supposed to be about or even care.
I literally couldn't even get through the whole book.
I'm sorry, but it just was awful.

A deliciously dark shifter romance filled with dark some may say disturbing themes, dangerous but hot alpha male, a feisty female lead character, sexy scenes with plenty of d/s elements, punishment, secrets, mystery, action, twists and turns throughout and most importantly a happy ever after ending. A gripping read, brilliantly written, fantastically developed interesting diverse characters with amazingly strong sizzling chemistry. Love reading books by Piper Stone and cannot wait for my next read.

This is such a confusing story to follow. The beginning goes from reality to dreams constantly and it is as hard as crap to figure out which is which. This scattered beginning makes it very hard to get into the story. At one point I almost just quit reading. The plot is very convoluted and hard to follow on top of it. I was very disappointed in the whole thing. It’s hard to give it a rating just as hard to read it. I hate to leave a bad rating but it just wasn’t that good.

Glad to see some progress being made by the scientists, and the relation of Akuma to his mate is as erotic as always, even though these guys have some real Dom issues.

Why?

I have come to except a certain level of writing from Piper. This is a good read though it’s confusing in spots and reads the same as the last book. I did like the way the book started and had high hopes that it would continue that way. Her characters are either strong or wishy washy. The story line is great. If you don’t like discipline scenes this isn’t a book for you. I would recommend this book to those that do.

It was enjoyable. I would not recommend if you had not read the preceding connected books though. It seemed to end very quickly, but part of that was just wanting to see more I think. There was a lot of build-up, but then things were solved very quickly, so it felt slightly off. Still great characters and a good plot!

This book started out with incredibly high heat scenes that were the theme thru out the book. The book had the underlay of romance that I love to see in any erotic book. The backdrop in the story caught the reader’s attention and held it to the end. This is one book that you need to make time to finish it at one sitting because once you start you are not going to want to stop!

Alpha Beasts Series, Books 1 to 3

I was not that supportive of the author until I read this series. The adventure, drama, intrigue, characters and premise of all 3 books is well worth the read, especially given the pandemic and uncertainty of people right now. While all 3 can be read as stand alone, I recommend reading in in order because each subsequent book refers to characters and events in the previous book(s). Well done, Ms. Stone!
