This book is poorly edited, right down to changing the title (they removed the "So") while calling it a new edition of the old title. There are random jumps in topic with no segue and even several incomplete sentences. This needed a better editor. Or the authors needed to listen to their editor. I don't know which. There are some nice additions, but they also took out some of the best parts of the old book. I assume so they could stop crediting Bob Alcorn (which is a crying shame). It's confusing and convoluted and very obviously written by multiple authors who made little effort to work together or create a cohesive style. The old book had is issues, but this one has so many more.
