Trapped Under his Highland Spell

Rate this book
After solving this mystery, she will either win his heart or lose everything she has…

Moira Monroe always believed she was different from other lasses. She didn’t care much for the things they did, she kept her hair short and always believed she’d never leave her home. But her life will radically change when her brother, the Laird, agrees to marry her to an old warring clan, the Calbraiths, to ensure long-lasting peace.

Moira’s plans of spinsterhood and living a simple life with her niece and nephew are squashed and she unhappily agrees to the marriage plans for the good of her people. Moira does not know what to expect of her new husband. Very quickly she realizes that Laird Niall Calbraith is a strong, handsome man built like an ox and he’s now married to her!

Not knowing how to properly stand next to him, she can hardly imagine how spending the nights with him will feel. Everyone expects her to be happy, but Moira believes that something evil is lurking in the shadows.

When a mysterious illness takes hold of the castle, Moira is certain that she’s right. But while she is trying to uncover the secret that brings sorrow and death to her new clan, supposition turns against her and she feels disillusioned by her husband who does not seem to trust her at all.

Moira is determined to find out more, even if she knows that the outcome of this mystery will affect not only the future of her new clan but also the fate of her marriage. And a failure might even cost her her very life…

Gripping and Suspenseful! Right from the start Tapped Under his Highland Spell takes off in this rollercoaster ride full of mythical spirit twists and tension-building turns that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end. Ava McArthur weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, uncertainties, doubt and mystery. It's an unforgettable Highland romance that brims with characters that come off the pages and pull you into this emotional ride that keeps you involved until the very end, great plot, and sizzling passion. I loved to catch up with Marcas and Kirsten through Moira story.

Great story

Lady Moira’s brother betroths her to Niall from a rival clan to bring peace. Moira is upset but does so out of duty. Their marriage starts off well until Niall’s brother Jamie and sister Isobel get sick and they think they were poisoned. Niall felt that Moira and her brother were plotting against them.

Great read

This book was like a roller coaster but the main thing was the lack of trust between clans and the marriage. Trust that can't be given as it has to be earned. They had to work hard to make people think there was not a war pending.

The book was excellent! Very intriguing story! Trying to find out how people were getting poisoned!
The villagers dumping their trash in the loch, sounds familiar!

I have been trying to get the Extended Epilogue, but I am having difficulties getting it.

Thank you!

Repetitious

Going from one paragraph to the next is just like rereading one. Not a fan at all. No more by this author.
