I had a feeling that book two would come out swinging and it did! This was fast paced and so good. There's mystery, steam and great characters.

It starts up where book 1 left off. We see Phoenix holding her own and trying to get her life back. She is one strong young woman. She is starting to put herself and her own well being first.
Stryker and Jonas are both there trying to hold her together. Things get a little rocky there, but things smooth out. They are just what she needs. Damon is a great addition to her crew as well.
Logan is being... well, Logan. He needs to wake up soon. She won't put up with his crap for much longer.

The stalker plot goes from zero to one hundred fairly quickly. We get a lot of the stalkers POV so you can play detective and try to figure out just who that person is.

I don't want to give too much away because you need to read it for yourself.
O.M.G I can't wait for book 3. I need it ASAP!!
I highlighted this book like crazy so I can remember all the important parts before I read book 3 lol.

Part 2 of a suspense-filled enemies to lovers romance resumes with the same childhood friend Logan still with misbeliefs and taunting Phoenix "Phee," the dancer hero, Jonah, and Stryker having left the heroine broken over his inability to deal with his rage and hurt over her revelation. In addition a new biker character Damon is presented along with chapters from the point of view of the sinister stalker.

An entertaining story, great character dynamics, mystery and intrigue. I liked the growth in self-confidence of the heroine and the dynamics in her relationship with others, particularly the new relationship with the guys. Once again in this book, it was nice to read the heroine having a support system rather than the unbalance of every character in a bully romance against the her.

Steam level was teasing, particularly after a clean book 1, and despite strong chemistry and attraction, touching encounters happened only later in the book. It was disappointing that love scenes that would have been realistic to a plot of reverse harem, multi-love romance occurred so late, and seeming reluctance. Characters actually choose petting contact, strangely, where full-on sex would have fit naturally.

When we take you for the first time, it won’t be as a threesome. Say what?

Instead, the culminating event occurred at 85% or so into the story. Moreover, the book read more like a ménage minus the ménage sex than reverse harem.

I liked this story best for its characters, character dynamics, and suspense including the mysterious stalker. Pace was good. I was not the biggest fan of how the romance was portrayed, fairly predictable and too much push / pull, and of course the low steam, especially for a reverse harem, and its late depiction. Story ends a spelling-binding cliffhanger, leaving me wondering how it is all going to play out. 3.5 stars wavering to 3.

This is book 2 of 3, and needs to be read in order.

After reading Shattered Dream, I didn’t think my heart could be wrenched from my chest again. But this author carved a nice little geometric heart in my chest, and PUNCHED it out. Phoenix luckily still has some of her heart left, as she struggles with learning how to trust. We are fully introduced to another character, including some surprises for Phee, and then she fights to learn to trust after being heartbroken. She still has to keep her walls up around Logan, though, as he refuses to SEE the past for what it was.

As this story progresses, Phee does begin to trust, and she builds her strength as she explores intimacy. However, lying I. The shadows is the one person she doesn’t know is there, this “stalker”- are they even real? Or is it a prank gone too long?

This story brings on trauma, heartbreak, and betrayals. Only when things finally seem to get on track does the other shoe drop, and all hell breaks loose.

I’m SOOOOO glad to hear there is a third book coming, because while this wasn’t an exact cliffhanger, there was definitely stuff left unexplained!! I had a serious jaw-drop moment, and was begging for more!

Story 📖: 5/5. Flat out read this book within HOURS because I couldn’t put it down.
Heat 🔥: 3.5/5. Because of the story line, intimacy is an issue. BUT, things progress in this book.
Cliffhanger 🏔: 3/5. I need more. 🤲🤲

Irrevocably Damaged is book 2 of The Breakout Crew Series, and cannot be read as a standalone. You will want to read Shattered Dreams for the full experience

Amber Tourney took me on a freaking emotional roller coaster, I was on the edge of my seat for this whole book. My heart was completely shattered. We get a look into the dark past memories that Phoenix the FMC has. This author weaves this story so well I truly felt the emotions she was portraying, they were pouring off the pages straight into my soul. Definitely have the tissues ready. We also get Multiple POV’s which I absolutely love. I enjoy being in everyone’s heads.

Phoenix , this girl is so strong and fierce but how much is she going to handle before she finally snaps.

Gawddddd and Logan..... my poor heart!
Then there is Stryker and Jonah her 2 protective men! I love them both so much

OMG!! The freaking BOMB DROP! I did not see that coming at all. Okay maby a little bit, I had several theories..... that one was definitely not at the top tho. The ending came to quick!! I loved every minute of this book and I seriously can’t wait for book 3.

This is book 2 in the breakout crew series, make sure to read shattered dreams first.
Book 2 is so tense. I’m constantly guessing who this hooded figure could be. It’s completely action packed, so heart wrenching and painful. A box of tissues is a must need when reading this book.
Damn! What a plot twist. At the end of book 1 I made a list of who the hooded figure was and wow I can’t believe I guessed it right.
Wow this book is unbelievably good.
The author is killing me 😩 it ended on a cliff hanger , I need more so so bad. It was so action packed and full on. I loved it.
Damn, steamy is an understatement 🔥

Logan may finally be making up for all his horrible actions, only time will tell with book 3 haha.

Amber Torney is such a fantastic author . She has a way of hooking you into the story with her words.
You feel everything right along with the characters.

An absolute must read series/book!!

I didn’t think that The Breakout Crew Series could get any better but Irrevocably Damaged proved me oh so wrong. This book begins straight after the cliffhanger in the first book Shattered Dreams.

I loved this book because in my opinion it focused a lot more on Phee’s healing and growth as a character. It does feature a lot more of her stalker and it also explores their perspective. I really enjoyed watching her explore her relationships with Stryker and Jonah because I think it showed a great amount of strength. I still absolutely love Stryker and I really enjoyed seeing things from his perspective.

OMG!!! What the actual F*** was that ending!!! I never saw that coming and it totally blew my mind. How did that happen? What? Why? I NEED the next book NOW!!

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

Book two of the series from Amber Torney and the darkness from book one continues.
In this book we get to learn more about Phoenix and how she wants her relationship with the guys to work. The stalker gets even darker and we get so many hints of who it is. The bullying from Logan carries on but Stryker and Jared are firmly with our girl and Damon has become her number one protector. We learn more about how Damon became a part of Phee’s world and who he is.
This book contains so many potential triggers but it’s such a good read. I can’t believe the things we learn about the stalker and that cliffhanger has left me desperate to learn everything.

Phoenix is trying to live her life as best she can, despite the stalker who won't leave her alone. With Stryker and Jonah by her side, she's ready to share her story with them. But the stalker isn't happy with her and he's ready to make his move.

This book was so good, I couldn't put it down. Phoenix's story is still evolving and her relationship with the guys is getting steamier. The author gave us incredible writing that had us reading every word, and a plot that had twists you wouldn't see coming. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and while the ending felt rushed, I'm excited to see where this story takes us next.

4.5 ⭐️ for the second installment in this series! The only real con was that I could see who ‘Stalker’ was a mile away, but maybe we’re always meant to. As for pros, there are too many to count... The guys are all back. Jonah is the same perfection he’s always been. Stryker reveals different sides to his personality, and he’s MORE than I could have hoped for and I was so happy. Logan also has some soul searching to do and I was here for it. The big hit for me though was Damon... I LOVE HIM! I get that he’s a side character, but I need more D! There I said it! 😉

Freaking amazing!!!

From the plot line to the character growth it was absolutely phenomenal. The way that the stalker ties back to everything that’s happened to her whilst still being shrouded in mystery was awesome. I had a good idea who it was but boy did the author make me second guess and kept me hooked. I read this book in one sitting and it was a page turner the entire way through. That cliff hanger though. What’s going to happen with Logan in the third book. I absolutely can not wait for book three fingers crossed that the timeline of release will be moved up.

This book in the series picks up right where the first ended so you aren’t left wondering where you are as you start the story. Phoenix faces a lot of challenges in this installment as she deals with her feelings towards two boys, her complex feelings towards Logan and her stalker being much more active. Her stalkers identity is revealed in this book, and with it a lot more truths come to light. There’s a lot of drama and action, especially towards the end of this book as Phoenix’s stalker becomes impatient. Overall, I really like this book and thought it was a great follow up. We see a lot of growth in Phoenix and some set backs. I am enjoying her relationship with her guys and I’m eager to see what happens with Logan. There’s also a lot more questions now that still need answering that makes you excited for book 3!

Wow is my first thought after reading this book.

We learn more about what happened to Phoenix 4 years ago. As the story goes on she grows closer to Stryker and Jonah intimately, she still is the target for Logan. But Logan isn’t the problem as her stalker becomes bolder.

I loved the book but characters in the book frustrated me. Between the lies and manipulation as well as a coverup, I wasn’t sure where to direct it. Logan redeemed himself toward the end once he learned the truth. As for the stalker, many will figure it out but the cliffhanger leaves several possibilities as to how the story will go.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Amazing

The suspense, mystery, and angst have me on the edge of my seat. The relationship between Striker, Phoenix, and Jonah starts to heat up. Logan still has his head shoved up where the sun doesn’t shine but he does discover some things. I can’t wait for the next book! I need to know what happens. Also I am super impressed with the author’s writing considering this series is her debut. She’s amazing.

Oh man, that last line was epic!!!! “After all, you can’t kill a dead man twice.” I loved it and I was so sad he held her captive for a week.

Amber you wrote a great book, I was hooked from the beginning and so engrossed in the story, Phoenix is such a courageous woman. I absolutely love Jonah and Stryker, they are such sweethearts. And Logan is still a jerk, and I can’t wait to see how he grovels in the next book.

Book 2 in the Breakout Crew Series didn’t disappoint! It cannot be read as a stand-alone. Logan, Stryker and Jonah are back in book 2 and we learn more about their life stories. Phee continues to grow into herself in book 2. The series continues to be slow burn but it makes sense with the storyline. Plus, the stalker! I can’t wait for the next book!

Holy smokes this series keeps getting better. Phoenix is the perfect name for her. This book we learn more about her stalker. And the boys we know Jonah and Stryker are working on how to be with her together. Logan I want to git up side his head. I have my theory if Damon is going to going the group. After that cliffhanger I need book three.

Phoebe lost her innocence, father, and best friend on the same night when she was thirteen. That was the night her best friend's cousin Kyle raped her after torturing her for the last two years. So Kyle is gone, her father was imprisoned after protecting her and her best friend Logan hates her and plans to get revenge.

When Phoebe was pushed down the stairs at school she was unable to identify who had pushed her but knew that Logan had been on the stairs as she had just had words with him. So her friends helped her gather her things from Logan's house to move in with Stryker.

Logan's parents were her guardian for the next year. Her mother had just been killed in a robbery where she had worked and her father was serving time for killing her rapist. But she wasn't safe there anymore.

Even if Logan isn't guilty, they know that he is determined to make her pay for Kyle's death. On top of the fact that when Logan was going over the feed from the cameras he had stashed in her room, he showed Stryker, Caden and Ricky that she had a stalker who was sneaking into her room at night.

Stryker had been behind Logan with his plans to terrorize the girl behind his cousin's death until he started seeing signs that Logan didn't have the full story. When Logan refused to listen he told him he was out and if it meant their friendship so be it. He told Logan he needed to talk to his parents and learn the truth.

He didn't mean to push her down the stairs, but he was so angry seeing her talking to Logan. Despite all Logan has done to her he could see the want in her eyes and despite his denials, he could tell Logan wants her. But, she belongs to him and he is almost finished with the secret little room he's making for her. His Kitten.

When we get a little background on The Stalker you wonder why he isn't any more twisted than he is. The things his father made him do were beyond comprehension.

I love this series!!! O.M.G.!!! This is book two of The Breakout Crew trilogy and it will take you down a road unexpected! This book has a MAJOR twist that you don't see coming!!!

The storyline begins with Phoebe's rape and four years later after her mother's murder, she moves from Australia to the United States with the guardians that her parents had designated before his imprisonment. Logan's parents are her guardians and she is not happy with the circumstances.

This book is so well written and the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. As the Ducane family secrets start to unravel you wonder how they managed to keep it all hidden from Logan.

Stryker, Jonah and Damon step up and protect Phoebe, but keeping information from her about a stalker could do her more harm than good.

I couldn't put this book down! The author did an amazing job of giving you a nibble of the mystery while adding more into the plot. The full cast of characters is all amazing in their support and friendship to Phoebe. The heat factor starts rising as Phoebe realizes that she wants to date both Stryker and Jonah and despite her rage against Logan she can't fail to admit to herself that she wishes she had him back.

This book is action-packed from cover to cover and leads you through more of an unbelievably twisted obsession. I highly recommend this series, but these books have to be read in order. It is not a stand-alone book. Can't wait to read the conclusion of Phoebe's story!

🩰 ARC Review 🩰

Irrevocably damaged is book two in the breakout Crew series. It picks up right where we were left off in Shattered Dreams, this cannot be read as a standalone, so if you're into dark, young adult reverse harem romances, then crack on with book 1 first because this will be right up your street!

I really enjoyed book 1, but I found this book to be so much more intense, cryptic, steamy and action packed than the first one. Some elements of this book had me feeling the way I imagine Amber was intending us to feel. I went through the motions reading this, the stalker had my skin crawling, logan had me irritated, Stryker and Jonah had me sat there with hearts in my eyes!

Pheonix just goes through her own version of hell and back in this, poor girl just cannot seem to catch a break! She's so strong but I'm just thinking how is going to come back from this all in book 3?! ALSO, the AUDACITY of Logan at the end of this! I'm so glad she stuck to her guns, but I'm so intrigued to see what happens between them next 👀

I still adore Stryker the most, this guy is so swoon worthy! He clearly has a very short temper when it comes to anything or anyone hurting Phee and I love his protective nature.

Jonah is also completely lovable, he is the calming one in the harem and the voice of reason, which is so needed to keep that balance!

Damon is hot AF! I mean, it would be criminal for him to not be hot when he has such a sexy name 😂 I want to see so much more of this guy, low key hoping Pheonix climbs him like a tree soon!

The plot twist had me second guessing myself throughout the whole book, what I thought was happening would change chapter by chapter, until we finally get some light shed on the very last second, leaving us eagerly waiting for the third installment.

The story continues right where Shattered Dreams left, please read that book first. This book was intense. Definitely a lot going on. Amber, Stryker, Jonah, Demon, Phoenix, Logan, they all had me rooted to my seat reading. There is a brilliant twist in the plot that got me good, definitely looking forward to the next one, hope it comes soon. This series is one I recommend reading if you like RH books, full of intrigue, great character dynamics, and bully romance all combined.

This book starts off where the first book ended. We get to see Johan and Skyler’s reactions to what happened to Phoenix. This book is mostly about Phoenix’s relationship with her guys. I mentioned in my review for book one that I wasn’t sure of Jonah since we didn’t get to see inside his head but that totally changes this book. I fell in love with him so much. He cares so much about Phoenix and wants her to be happy. Skyler messed up in the beginning but he makes up for his wrong doing. Phoenix seems to bring out another side of him and it’s so nice to see his softer side. We also learn more about Damon. They have this brother/sister bond and his protectiveness of her warms my heart. Lastly there is Logan still on the naughty list for me. He finally finds out the truth and tries to make amends but he let his emotions get to him causing Phoenix to be put in another bad situation.

The stalker is revealed at the end of the book, but it’s pretty obvious who it is after a few chapters in his POV. That’s right, we get her stalker’s POV. I was so intrigued by this because you get to see just how sick and twisted this person is. My heart broke for Phoenix at the end. She has been through so much and finally gets to experience being loved and having a happy life only for it to be ruined. She is such a strong character so I’m hoping she is able to bounce back. I am so excited for the next book and I want to learn more about Logan’s family and why they are so shady. I can’t wait to see how Phoenix handles everything that has happened and where her relationship with Logan stands as well as if the guys will accept him into their group.

Heartbreaking!

UGH! I am so angry and frustrated after finishing this book. My heart was ripped to shreds again and again and again. My head has been spinning and I am not sure if I want to cry or smash a wall! The emotional turmoil, anger, pain and heartache that is written on each page will leave you shocked and gasping. It’s an intense rollercoaster ride from start to finish.

Phoenix is fierce, strong and an utter warrior. The things she learns and the things that are done to her would break most people but she is resilient and a survivor. The bonds she has forged with her crew are unbreakable and grow stronger as the story progresses. Everyone just wants to protect her from all the pain she has endured and continues to endure in her life.

I still absolutely hate Logan. He is a completely unredeemable character. He acts like a five year old and expects everyone to give him all of the answers when he has never earned the right to know the truth. I am not sure if he will ever be able to redeem himself in my eyes.

Once again, this is well written story that pulls you in right from the start, captivates you and keeps you entertained throughout. Filled with amazing characters (some you really hate and some you love) and a storyline that is fast paced, suspenseful, twisted, and heartbreaking.

I can’t wait for book three because Phoenix is about to rise from the ashes and burn their world down!

I am just blown away by this series. It has everything I love in a book. But this 2nd one was everything. I loved that the guys dont all know each other, that they are from different backgrounds and that its a surprise who is added to her harem if anyone. I love Phoenix. She is damaged and traumatized yet she does not let it break her. She stood up for herself and did not let herself stay in a bad situation. I love that she provokes so many different things in her men. I loved book 1 and the introduction to them, but this one really was amazing. The twists and turns made my jaw drop, the steaminess was higher in this one and I loved how Logan finally realized the truth. The way it was discovered was like i wasnt expecting. I loved that it made it so different. I love Stryker.. hes so sexy. All of the guys are. It had me on the edge of my seat and for some reason I was expecting this to be a duet but now to know that there is more to come gets me giddy. Amber did an amazing job with this series. If flowed perfectly and that ending on a cliffy has me just chomping at the bit..This series is a must read.Action-packed with a mystery..so incredible

We pick up right where we left off at the end of Shattered Dreams and let me tell you I didn’t think my heart could break anymore for Phee until having her detail what actually happened with Kyle. God my heart just absolutely couldn’t take it. After everything she has been through you’d think she would be a complete shell of herself but no she may be a bit damaged but she was still amazingly strong and caring she still had some friends she made and even started to trust more. Book two was an even bigger roller coaster of emotions, lies, betrayal and of course cray cray stalker! I really loved seeing Phee’s character growth along with Stryker and Jonah. I love them they really did step up and only want to protect Phee even if it is from Logan. Logan ugh Logan my poor broken boy! I still wanted to throat punch most of the time I still love his character but ugh he makes me so mad. I mean I get it but he never stopped to look at everything and dig a little deeper. I really need him to redeem himself. Then your hit with that ending!!! Holy crap I need book 3 now!!!

The first book stomps on your emotions and then book 2 just completely rips you at your seems.

Phee continues to battle with her past, how it affects her relationships, and now dealing with a stalker who is growing more aggressive with each chapter. I enjoyed getting the stalkers POV and if you are paying attention you can begin putting together who the stalker is pretty early on but the big reveal comes at the end of the book.

I’m glad that Phee is working on her relationships and learning to be intimate after everything she has been thru. My only ‘irk’ with her character is how she treats her guys when all they are trying to do is protect her. She’s short and snippy with them more times than not and they don’t deserve it, IMO.

There is so much drama, heartache, deceit, and plot going on through this series you cannot put it down.

While the book doesn’t ‘technically’ end on a cliffhanger per say, it leaves you in a WTF IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?! state of mind. Cannot wait for the next book.

An absolute brilliant second installment from Amber. The angst is through the roof and the suspense is killer.

How Phee has any heart left is truly inspirational. Her trust in the people that surround her has been damaged and shattered. Her only saving grace is her few friend ( insert sexy biker Damon, who is like her big brother 🤤😍 I’m hoping we get his story too) and both her love interest skyler and Jonah 🤤😜.

Logan... he is cruel and reluctant to acknowledge any feelings toward Phee. Some of the things he says/does make you think he has no redeeming qualities. But we find out he has been manipulated to think the way he does and he then has you rooting for his relationship with not just Phee but his friends aswel.

The plot twist at the end is down right epic. With a lot of the story still unsaid, characters that still have a lot to answer for ( cough cough, Logans parents) I’m desperately waiting for book three. I would 1000% recommend reading this Series.
