Life is never boring with the Malones, and when i had a chance to read the ARC,i knew i was going to have a lot of fun.
This is two stories entwined,Mia and Alec, and Flick and West.

Mia and Alec are expecting the first baby of the family, and after a difficult first trimester,Mia now feels.....awful.
More to the point, she feels useless and unattractive.
She’s not allowed to do anything on her own,Alec demands supervision on every move, and it’s stifling.
When the dam bursts, she’s allowed to have a girl’s night at Molly’s house.
As long as she follows his rules......

Flick really wants a beautiful wedding, but getting everything organized the way she wants,is hard work, but West knows how to make her relax.
He’d prefer to elope, but knowing his girl wants a beautiful wedding makes him want to give her one.
Having a girl’s night out sounds good, but he’s going to make sure she’ll get home safely.

What happens that night, and afterwards,is the cause of a few anxious weeks in the Malone household...
Will Mia give birth to a healthy baby girl or boy?
And will Flick have the wedding of her dreams to the man she can’t live without?

This was a very entertaining duo,one i really enjoyed.

Babies & Weddings

I love these glimpses into the lives of our favorite characters. I hope Laylah continues to do them for every series...and often!

It seems so fitting it was Mia & Alex & Flick & West for this check-in. Doesn't hurt we got to "see" everyone else too!

What a short but captivating story featuring the Malone Family by
Laylah Roberts. The plot and characters were realistic and believable.
A simple concept, but one that allowed you to journey through the
weight of emotions along side each character separately. It was very
interesting to see the usually unflappable Alec Malone panic when he
was unable to find Mia for a short time. His protective instincts went
into overdrive.I'm sure that many women could relate with Mia who
was concerned that she would lose her identity and the very special
relationship she had with Alec’s.With her master. It was clear that West
was cut from the same cloth as Alec’s. He did not hesitate to take
control even when he was injured. He was strong, stern, and so very
possessive. Having so many alpha men sent my body into meltdown,,
but what a way to go.

I could sympathize with a very pregnant Mia. Any woman who has had
a baby can testify that pregnancy brain truly exists. Mia was fed up
with being treated like precious glass that was going to shatter.Being
surrounded by testosterone fueled Malone’s was exhausting. Mia missed
platime with Alec’s but had she pushed him too far. He was furious that
she put herself and their baby in danger. Talk about being protective.

Flick was in a state of confusion. All she could think about was her upcoming
wedding to West. If West had his way, they would just elope. He was a man
of few words, and when he did speak he just grunted. Flick was foolish to
try and keep secrets from West. She was overwhelmed with guilt. He was
not a happy man and poor Flick learnt a hard lesson over his knees.

I was entranced by this book, but I was left wanting more. My only complaint
was that I feel that the ending in Mia and Alec story was too abrupt. This was
a well written story and it was hard to say which part I enjoyed the most. I
guess you will have to read the book for yourself.

2 shorter stories from Haven and I loved them. They are connected by an event that happens and we get both sides of it!
Alec and Mia are expecting their baby and Mia is feeling like a lot of pregnant women do, not at all desirable. None of the guys are "flirting" with her and Alec is over the top protective. When the event happens, Alec is beside himself with worry. Will he realize that Mia needs some playtime and guidance?

West and Flick are planning their wedding, well, it mainly Flick as West finds it sort of boring. When the event happens, Flick begins to emotionally draw away from him and it's up to West to find out! Oh how my heart ached for Flick and how the event messed with her mind!

The two stories together were magic and I loved every word of it!!

Can I give MORE than 5 stars? Because if any book deserves it, this is the one. We get two stories in this book, Merry Christmas Baby about Mia & Alec and their pregnancy and How West Was Wed about Flick & West's wedding. Both stories were funny and pulled on my heartstrings. I always say if a book can make me laugh and cry it's a good one. There is some time overlap in the stories, but getting them from different points of view make it all the better. What I loved the most about both stories was the vulnerability each heroine displayed and how realistic that was. You may find your HEA, but you still have to work at things that come up. So true to life, but yet Laylah made each story super romantic as well. I swoon...where can I find my very own Malone?

I absolutely love Haven Texas and all those gorgeous Malone Brothers! This book follows the tale of Mia and Alec while Mia is extremely pregnant and the Flick and West as Flick is pulling their wedding together. Both of these under one title?! That’s sooo awesome! These are Steamy Romantic and funny tales of the Malones. I love the characters, the settings, and everything about these books. Your guaranteed a good time with some laughs along the way! Very Alpha each and everyone of these brothers! Ladies there are more left to tell their stories also!! Great read!

Two truly delightful and lovely stories that cover a single event from two different perspectives. Mia and Alec’s story ends with the birth of their baby and Flick and Master’s story ends with their wedding but both cover an event that involved Mia and Flick. The protectiveness and love of the two men is incredible and I am sure most women reading these stories would be envious of such relationships. If you want sweet and adorable stories that will leave you feeling so good Romanced by the Malones is it.

Love the Malones

The books about Alec and Mia, and West and Flick, are some of my favorites in this series. It was great to see the crazy Malones again. Although not absolutely necessary, reading Mastered by Malone and How West Was Won will make these novellas more enjoyable.

Quick Summary:
First off I loved this cover! This is exactly how I picture all these Malone hotties and I was definitely tickled by the eye candy =)

Just in time for Valentines Day! We get to catch up with Mia & Alec and Flick & West. This cute novella visits the happily married Mia and Alec who are expecting their very first baby! But pregnancy brings about a lot of changes that have Mia feeling out of sorts.

But Alec isn’t one to sit back and let his woman wallow without doing his best to fix things. True to his alpha Malone tendencies, Alec sets out to get Mia to talk to him and let him show her just how much he loves her, their baby and their life together.

Flick and West are engaged and planning their big day but an unexpected accident and a bad tempered nurse plant seeds of fear and guilt in Flick that start to derail her happiness with West. When her self doubt starts to endanger her health, West will have to pull all the stops to break through and get his sunshine back.

🖤 My Thoughts 🖤
I loved it. It is the perfect Valentine’s Day read full of love, family and passion. I laughed, I got emotional and I cheered for their happy ending.

Mia and Alec were the best and I loved being able to enjoy them as a happily married couple. The baby was just the cherry on top for these two. Visiting favorite characters and watching them in their day to day lives together is definitely a treat! Also the rest of the brothers were just adorable and I’m hard core crushing on them, especially Beau and Butch :) Honestly they all really shined and had me laughing out loud! Alec always knew what to say to have me Mia melting. Seriously, if you want to cozy up to a sweet romantic read, even if you haven’t read their story, I would still recommend. After reading, you’ll want to hunt down their book and fall for them all over again!

Then there was Flick and West. These two were so cute together and their mini story was also full of sweet moments. West’s blunt and too the point manner led to some really comical moments. But he is a Malone, so expect some major romancing, done in their alpha protective manner. There are so many memorable moments and quotes that my kindle was lit up like a Christmas tree, lol.

Flick gets caught at a vulnerable moment that leads to her misguided guilt. I definitely felt for her and loved West all the more for how he went about reassuring his girl and helping her heal what a careless someone bruised. Not to be outdone by Alec and his kitten, these two also had some pretty hot and inventive moments you’ll definitely want to bookmark #trustme

All the Malone boys are up there in the best book boyfriends category for me right now. I highly recommend this series, especially if you like the sexy, flirty, possessive and protective alpha types. Alec and West are the first Malone brothers to be featured as MCs in the series but they will leave you wanting more. If you haven’t read Mastered by Malone (Haven, #6) Mia and Alec’s book or How West Was Won (Haven, Texas #7) which is Flick and West’s story, please go check them out, I’m obsessed, lol!

🔥 Heat Level: 5/5🔥

Triggers: In Alec and Mia’s story there is a pregnancy scare and Flick’s story mentions

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts an opinions are my own.

Laylah Roberts’ Romanced by the Malones consists of two novellas—Merry Christmas Baby and How West was Wed. In the first novella, Ms. Roberts recounts the story of Alec and Mia Malone. Mia is pregnant and is due in early January. Alec tries to cope with her hormonal swings, but finds it taxing. Mia is frustrated with feelings of inadequacies as she believes she is no longer appealing. Then Mia; West, her brother-in-law; and Flick, his fiancé gets into an accident ending up in the ER. Are they okay? Is Mia’s baby okay? Will Alec and Mia get through this pregnancy? Will they find happiness?

In her second novella, How West Was Wed, Ms. Roberts shares the story of West and Flick’s upcoming wedding. West wants to elope. Flick wants a big wedding, but the pressure of planning it is getting to her. Then the accident and old thoughts and insecurities arise. Fearing she will end up like her alcoholic brother, Flick begins to shut down. West is worried about her. Will he be able to help Flick reduce her stress levels? Will the wedding ceremony and celebration be successful? Will they find happiness? To discover what happens with these two couples, you must read this book.

I enjoyed Ms. Roberts’ writing style. Her characters are multi-dimensional. The males are alpha males. The women are strong but crave the protection and caring of these dominant males. In this book, readers get to meet the rest of the Malone brothers. All are dominant males believing in old-fashion methods of protecting their soulmates. I appreciate Ms. Roberts’ use of descriptive language. As I immersed myself into this book, I found myself smiling, laughing, and getting annoyed with all the characters in this male-dominated family. I was not to thrilled with Alec’s position of being Mia’s master. I found this part a bit too much. His brother, West, was also a dominant male; however, he did not see himself in that role. The dialog Ms. Roberts created allowed readers to enjoy the banter between the couples and the Malone brothers. It effectively captured the camaraderie amongst the brothers.

The couple: Alec and Mia (Mastered by Malone) and West and Flick (How West Was Won)

Romance genre: bdsm, contemporary
Series: Haven, Texas
Length: 121 pages

Plot:

Commentary: I don't always enjoy these sorts of mid-series novellas, but I liked this one - there seemed to be some substance to it. I have to say that I was surprised at how wedding-crazy Flick was - I didn't see that coming from her.

ROMANCED BY THE MALONES is the tenth book in the Haven, TX series.

Any woman who has been pregnant will identify with eight-month pregnant Mia. She feels fat, undesirable, and useless. She feels as if she is defined by her pregnancy and has quit being an attractive flirt-worthy woman. Add in that she lives with men, men, and more men and she is on testosterone overload!

Flick goes into a self-destruct mode out of guilt after one night of kicking up her heels.

Both Alec and West make mistakes. They are your basic, clueless men when it comes to the emotions of women. On the other hand, they try. That’s why I love book-boyfriends. They try! They don’t make a woman feel guilty for being emotional … because women are emotional.

These are two beautiful novellas paired up to make a girl smile. It’s not all sunshine and roses, but the sun and roses do come eventually. Absolutely enjoyable!

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

“Romanced by the Malones” gives us 2 novellas that take place in the ‘Haven, Texas’ series by Laylah Roberts. Each story features a couple from a full-length book in the series. I think you can enjoy these shorter stories without having read what came before, if you want to do that. Both stories take place after a particular shared experience.

“Merry Christmas, Baby” is centered on the couple whose love story was told in “Mastered by Malone.” Alec and Mia are expecting their first baby in a few weeks Mia is experiencing worries and emotions many pregnant women do – she feels fat, tired, awkward, completely undesirable. When devoted Alec finds out, he is determined to convince her again about how he sees her.

“How West Was Wed” focuses on West and Flick, whose dramatic journey to love was told in “How West Was Won.” In this story Flick is busy planning their wedding, while West wishes they could just get married without the whole big wedding. Suddenly, he realizes Flick is emotionally shutting down on him, and he has to figure out why.

These are both quick and entertaining reads with more depth and emotion than you might expect to find in shorter stories. I’m looking forward to books about the other Malone brothers, who were great secondary characters in both of these stories.

Baby and a wedding

First book...Alex and Mia.
She is out of sorts being 8 months pregnant and feeling stifled.
Alex will not allow her to do anything without him being present.
Finally he allows her to have a girls night out at Molly's house.
Flick is there as well and has only 3 drinks but with no food they really effect her.
West picks her and Mia up to drive them home only to barely miss a deer and end up hitting a tree.
Bedlam at the hospital for all 3 occupants.

Second book...Flick and West
Wedding planning is overwhelming Flick and the questions being asked of West is making him grouchy more than normal.
Flick ends up at Molly's girls night out.
After the accident her is scared waking up in the hospital alone and fearing for West and Mia.
The nurse attending her makes cruel remarks about how drunk she is when she only had 3 drinks but does not believe her and makes her think that maybe she is just like her brother when it cones to alcohol and withdrawals into herself.
West and Flick have some very rocky times in their relationship since the accident and Flick even puts her health and safety at risk which is a huge no no with the Malone men.

Both stories are so very personal and shows just how much each couple cares for the other as do the other brothers.

This was a simply wonderful two for two stories this time
A simply wonderful read as the Malone men are all anxiously awaiting the birth of their much-awaited Nephew or Niece? To be born to the much in love Big Dog and his beautiful wife Mia who is feeling the size of a barn and a little in attractive, fortunately her husband Alec is always up for a challenge.
As always in the household there are unexpected surprises and an accident leaves a rather bruised Mia and Flick along with West who was somewhat more banged up. Unfortunately, with the new baby and the wedding planning no one noticed that she had been losing weight and not eating.
With the Malone men usual determination and the help o Molly and other friends they were able to get Fick back on board with her health and the wedding and as all the family plus the new baby all come together in true tradition for one hell of a party.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This contains two novellas, one focusing on Mia's pregnancy; the other on Flick's wedding preparations. Since both are sequels to Mastered by Malone and How West Was Won, respectively, neither are standalones.

These weren't my favorite. The over-protectiveness was smothering rather than heart-warming and got old very quickly. I wasn't a fan of West's using a hairbrush on a survivor of domestic violence. I don't know what the point of featuring two huge narrative events -- a baby and a wedding -- was since we never got to see them. And both endings were very abrupt.

3 stars. If you're a fan of the Malones, you may enjoy it, but, truthfully, both are eminently skippable.

So perfect❤

Visiting the Malones is always entertaining. Alec & Mia are still amazing and West & Flick were nice to see solid. West is one of those mmc that only Laylah can redeem, wanted to smack him plenty in their original story "How West was won" but you just have to love him by the end, only you don't want it to be the end, which makes this novella so great to read. We get to see Alec & West so in love with their women. And the brothers...😂🔥 The Malones don't disappoint when it comes to shenanigans. I have an absolute aversion to manwhores in what I read, but through the absolute magic that is Laylah, these guys are hilarious and you can't help but love them and their antics. I'm not saying when they get their own stories I'd want to see any of that behavior continue, I definitely wouldn't. But until then... carry on😂. These 2 novellas had heart & heat. Would absolutely recommend!

Sweet Romance x2

I received an ARC from BookSprout and am leaving my review voluntarily. This book is part of a series and is 2 books in 1. Alec and Mia (from b.6) and West and Flick (from b.7)

Triggers:
domestic discipline/spanking

Spoilers:

(1)Merry Christmas Baby: Alec and Mia

Gruff, dominant Alec Malone is driving his sweet wife Mia crazy. Feeling overwhelmed as her pregnancy comes to the end, she just wants things to go back to the way they were before. Catch up with all the Malone brothers as they celebrate the holiday season.

(2)How West was Wed:West and Flick

Just as grumpy and dominant as his older brother Alec, West is out of sorts with all the wedding planning. Flick is obsessed with planning the perfect wedding but then an accident happens and everything gets complicated.

I always enjoy a "follow-up" story. This book contains two novellas that lets us see what happened after the original HEA between these two couples. The first is "Merry Christmas, Baby" and is about Mia and Alec. I can sympathize with Mia. The last trimester for a woman can be an emotional rollercoaster. Having to deal with the over-protectiveness of not only Alec but his brothers too could make a saint curse. Of course Alec isn't about to let his kitten suffer. The second novella is "How West Was Wed" and follows Flick and West as they prepare for their wedding. The two stories overlap and you get multiple viewpoints on one scene. A scene that affects Flick greatly. Can't wait for more Malone stories.

This is a collection of two stories, Merry Christmas Baby and How the West was Wed. Merry Christmas Baby is with Alec and Mia and they are expecting first child and she is experiencing all the doubts of a new mother to be, so Alec shows Mia how much she means to her. These characters are from other previous books and they are simply wonderful. How the West was Wed is Flick and West and they are getting ready to marry. He wants to just get married and Flick is planning the wedding and she is starting to shut down. These characters are from a previous book also, and they too are wonderful. What I really enjoyed about his book was the fact that we got to revisit these characters and their lives. I really enjoy getting more stories from wonderful characters.

The Malones are some of my favorite book-boyfriends and this book delivers two stories in one hot package. It's not introducing new couples so it should be read in sequence with the rest of the series, but if you love the series as much as I do then you won't want to miss it. The first story focuses on Alec and Mia as they prepare to become parents. The story is sweet and sexy, and has touch of holiday cheer. The second story is about West and Flick, and it follows them as they prepare for their wedding. It happens as the same time as the first story so they are great when paired together. I love revisiting beloved characters, which is one of the reasons I love this series, and seeing this extra look into their lives is a great way of tiding myself over while I wait for more Laylah Roberts reads.

Once more we are back at the Malone ranch with Alex and Mia also West and his girl Flick. Two short stories but they are always worth while reading.
Merry Christmas baby
A beautiful story, poor Mia is feeling down and out, crying all the time, the baby is due soon. So many rules to try and follow Mia has had enough and decides to break some of those rules. Alex will do anything to try and Keep Mia happy even if it means getting ribbed by his brothers a little bit to do so!!

How West was wed!
Flick was busy with wedding preparations and with a girls night out just what she needed. She gets a bit tipsy only when West takes them home an accident occurs which leaves Flick hving sleepless nights and not eating. Can West get to the bottom of why?

These are two short stories set in Haven. I enjoyed both of them and look forward to more stories about the Malones.

Merry Christmas, Baby
Mia and Alec are having a baby. Mia is feeling like all women feelin the last weeks of pregnancy, huge and ungainly. It doesn't help that Alec is being Alec and is being overprotective. Alec needs to find a way to convince her that she is beautiful in his eyes.

How West was wed
West and Flick are getting married. Flick is busy with all the details about the wedding. But then something happens that takes away Flick's confidence and she isn't sure that she is good enough for West. West has to convince her that she is the woman for him.

Lavish just gets it

Whether it's domestic discipline, head of the household, D/s, abld, DD/lg . reverse harem, big bad bikers, doesn't matter. Laylah gets it right. The relationships can be intense and suspenseful, or sweet and gentle, hut you can never go wrong with a Laylah Roberts book. My go to author for all things kink. Enough plot for great story lines, fabulous characters, and just the right amount of steam, so keep a fan close by. This two novella edition is no exception and we get a major dose of how these Alpha possessive men will take on the world to protect, cherish and worship their women. Some of the greatest love stories of our time take place in Laylah's books. Never disappointed.

Romanced by the Malones by Laylah Roberts includes two stories involving Alex and Mia and West and Flick.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, BABY

Poor Mia very pregnant and feeling lonely and unattractive until Alex finds out. He is the "Master" that can fix what ails you. The brothers are so funny with their constant joking. The best quote ever that left me snickering, "I’m stuck in testosteroneville. It’s just a sea of penises". Kudos!

HOW WEST WAS WED

Flick and West are preparing for their wedding. There is an accident that puts Flick into an emotional spin that only West can fix. I love this family. Kudos!

I was so excited - 2 novellas in 1 book!! Yay! We catch up with Mia and Alec - Mia is pregnant and it's all hormones and up and down emotions. I love how Alec is just the man to handle Mia. He's all dominant and leader of the pack. The second novella is intertwined with first novella but it's about West and Flick. Now West is one grouchy man but the way he softens with Flick makes my heart melt. A wonderful read. Would recommend that you read the Haven, Texas series to get the most enjoyment. And you will enjoy them all!
