Finding #2

Finding Ian

Rate this book
Jordan
Hookups have always been my thing, and expanding new ways of playing has me . . . curious. The idea of submitting to someone's total domination and care? It feels right when not much else in my life has.

David
Dominance and submission have always been things I need in my life--even when it made me lose someone I loved. It's a thrilling, fulfilling spark when a submissive hands control over to me. And, for the right man, at the right time, maybe I need to be the one forced to my knees.

Ian
I've never understood the need to be submissive . . . or dominant, for that matter. Trust doesn't come easily for me. But there was that one time I watched my best friend with his Sir, and it roused something in me I don't want to admit. Just like I can't acknowledge out loud how alone I feel.

Then my friend, Jordan, decides to play with David, a dominant we both know, and I think I'm jealous. They intrigue me separately, but Jordan and David together makes my interest even more explosive. Maybe, I want to let go, to let someone else to take the reins, so I can just be. When the three of us decide to explore together, I realize how good it can feel to be submissive, but I like the other side of it, too. Discovering both my submissive and dominant side with them is just playing. I don't have it in me to fall in love with one person, so how can I risk the pain of loving two?

Disappointing, tbh. I found the writing, especially the dialogue, to be cringey, unrealistic, and trying too hard. All of the right elements were there but the story just fell flat. The nicknames were endless and annoying. Also, I have never seen so much felching in my entire life.

Daaaaamn haha this was steamy! But to me it worked well with the relationship. I really like all three men, they fit together and I liked how they connected.

I think Ian was my favorite I always love a tortured soul looking for love, and Jordan was their ray of sunshine, and David was the protector. They all fit. I am glad I decided to pick this one up. I know last year when reading book one I wouldn’t have liked this, but it’s been a while and reading tastes have changed so this worked.

Overall good read, now on to find another book!

I’m sorry I have to give this story less than 3 stars and I can’t believe it because I’ve never regretted a bad rating like I regret it now.

I liked David, Jordan and Ian, they were great together, I loved their dynamics. In fact, I continued this series because of them, I already liked them in the first book and I had high hopes for their threesome. But it just didn't work out. What bothered me the most was that the same acts that occurred between Finley and Aidan in the first book were repeated here. Each person has their own habits, desires and penchants and it is unusual when these same habits are repeated in the same series in a new book with new characters. Sorry, but author should show a little more credibility here. The other thing that bothered me was the sweetness of the story, even more so than in the first book.

I knew after the first chapters of the three main characters, that I was about to read a truly unique dynamic. Of the few I have read, there is something really special about the dynamic between two submissives and a Dom. This one adds in a little more flair to the Dom and one of the subs and it truly makes this book stand out and apart from other D/s/s stories

Initially I wish I saw a little more of David and Jordan in their beginning, but I also understand this was about all three of them, not just two having something established then they decide to bring someone in. As is with some trio stories, it can sometimes not always feel like they are all on equal footing. Despite’s Ian’s initial caution, this one is. The evolution of their dynamic and their love is impossibly sweet and I hung on every word. I have read a ton of MMM books, Daddy books, D/s books, so sometimes it’s hard to be surprised or find something that is unexpected. This book is in the best possible way. Riley has always had such a talent with bringing us in with her incredible characters then leaving us wanting more with the story surrounding them. I really didn’t want to say goodbye to David, Jordan, and Ian. A brilliant pairing with Finding Finley.

I loved Ian in Finding Finley. He was the loving, supportive, and nonjudgmental friend that Finley needed when trying to understand and work through his desire/need to be dominated. He and Finley were very close and I worried about what would happen to him once Finley officially moved in with Aidan. It was already apparent in that book that Ian had trust issues and had a hard time seeing himself as someone worthy of receiving the love and support he desperately needed.

As far as Jordan was concerned, I didn’t have many thoughts or opinions of him prior to starting this story. He did seem like a nice guy but I didn’t connect with his character enough to realize how amazing he really was. I never appreciated just how much fun he was to be around. Or how caring and understanding he was when faced with the inner struggles of his friends and family. Ian called him Sunshine and that really was the perfect nickname for him. You could always count on him to break the ice, lighten the mood, and keep things fun and interesting. He was the exact opposite of Ian in that he never had a problem asking for what he wanted and basked in the attention and affection of those around him.

I knew this was a MMM romance and I was excited to see how it would play out. It was handled beautifully and it was clear that each person played an equally important role in making it work. No one felt like a third wheel and the love was shared equally among them.

Having said all that, the story, as a whole, was nowhere near as good as Finding Finley. I liked the characters enough to get through it but I can’t say that I loved it. It wasn’t necessarily boring but I did find myself struggling to get through it at times. This is one of those stories that’s more about self discovery than anything else so I understood that there wasn’t necessarily going to be a lot of action (outside of the bedroom) but it seemed to be lacking in much needed emotional depth. All three of the characters were struggling with their own personal issues and it was nice seeing how they were able to find solutions that incorporated each other and as a result grow closer as a throuple. Still, there was something missing that made this story feel less satisfying than book one and I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. 3.5 stars

I just loved this, I love how well Ian, Jordan, and David all worked so well together. Separately, they are all so very different from each other, but all together the three of them just fit so perfectly.

This is a related sequel to Finding Finley, since he and Aiden are in this book, but it also stands on its own very well.

There is definitely a high heat factor on this - after all, this series is Riley's explicit kink series. It worked well for these three men as they all found a place together. I think she did a great job of the physical relationship as well as the emotional, and I love how they all kinda brought out the best in each other, and they wanted to be the best for the three of them all together.

I'd actually love a story for David's friend lol, but I hope that whoever she picks, Riley continues with another book in this series!

Convincing MMM romance with light BDSM and lots of feelings.
I absolutely loved relationships between 3 men in the book. The most tricky part of a convincing threesome story is to show what each of the men brings into the relationship, what needs each one of them satisfies that two others can't provide. This part is absolutely brilliant in the book. David, Ian and Jordan fit together, are equally important to each other and have their own voice in the relationship and in the story.
The book is BDSM light, there is no hard-core stuff, it's more about dominance and control, trust and letting go. I loved Daddy-boy dynamics between David and Jordan, the caring aspect of it (there is no age play) and how Jordan thrives and finds himself under David's guidelines. Ian's has the most issues to overcome, David with his caregiver nature and Jordan with his sunshine personality is exactly what he needs to let go and find happiness. The emotions run strong between all three men, their dynamics is engaging and relationships development is organic. Epilogue was everything I wanted for those three.
Both Ian and Jordan are new to lifestyle and David constantly explains things to them and verifies consent. It was not my first BDSM book and I found it a bit tiring, but this will be great for those who want to try the genre. The book is a perfect intro to BDSM world.

sometimes when i read a book with a throuple it seems to me that the two of the MC should be together and the third just doesn’t fit. This wasn’t the case with this book David, Ian and Jordan fit so well together, if one of them lift the relationship wouldn’t have worked. Basically it just a really cute , kinky read.

Loved This!

Wow this was so good!!! After reading Finding Finley I was dying for David, Jordan, and Ian's story and it was everything I was hoping for and more! There was so much depth to their relationship, it wasn't rushed, it didn't feel forced...it developed so well and I was completely invested every step of the way. This book was also very, very steamy! There were so many scenes they had all together and sometimes paired off, but each one evolved their relationship more. Each scene, both in and out of the bedroom, brought them closer as a throuple, helped Ian learn to trust more each time, and truly cemented their love for each other. I also adored David's mom and sister, they were such a joy. Aiden and Finley of course were wonderful to see again and Jordon's Granny, although a tough lady, truly loved her grandson. Once again Riley Hart just created characters I fell in love with, connections I felt so deeply, and such a wonderful story!

Well this story was a pleasant surprise. I didn't really enjoy Finding Finley so I was a little hesitant going into Finding Ian. But this story had so much heart to balance out the scandalous heat that I couldn't help but swoon for these men.

These characters were just so in sync. They contrasted and complimented each other perfectly. Jordan with his fiery personality and endless joy, David being a steadfast pillar of support, and Ian being skittish but curious. The pacing of the relationship was fantastic, nothing felt instantaneous about their feelings. While there has always been an undercurrent of sexual tension between these characters, the feelings definitely developed organically after time spent together.

Their intimacy was on a whole other level, some light-BDSM, Daddy-kinks, and pain-kinks...but not nearly as hardcore as Finding Finley was. There were a few moments in the sex scenes that took me out of the book, but that is more personal preference. I don't care much for reading about armpit obsessions or the fact that there was a lot of d*cks going from butts to mouths...which had me questioning safety and sanitation.

The plot was mainly centered around these men coming together (please ignore the awful, unintentional pun). There was a little external drama for each character but mostly it was them finding their footing in the relationship. They balanced together beautifully, there weren't moments of jealous and while there were moments of vulnerability, the men would ultimately come together and communicate. Which had to be my favorite part of the story, the men being transparent about their feelings...which just got me in the feels.

It was great to see Ian, David, and Jordan get their love story. They first appeared in Bk 1 of the series as friends who felt a certain attraction for each other. Circumstances got in the way with Ian's being perhaps the most difficult. Ian is a young man who was abandoned by his mother as a baby. He was in and out of foster care until he ran away at age 17. He is best friends with Finley (Bk 1) and he helped support the two of them by working as an occasional sex worker. As the story begins, he now has two jobs that he doesn't like much, feelings of worthlessness, and a huge distrust of the world.

Jordan is friends with both Ian and Finley. Jordan was also abandoned by his mother as a child, but he went to live with his grandmother and the two of them have a strong bond. He's attending college, but not enjoying it much. David is an older man, a Dom, and best friends with Finley's Dom. The five men socialize together frequently and it is there that Jordan makes an initial connection with David, wanting to submit to him in play. Ian is also interested in submission, but his trust issues make it difficult to take the first step.

As the three draw closer, there seems to be hope. Can three men find their forever love against the odds? This book has emotions, lots of passionate BDSM encounters, and a very satisfying HEA.

where to begin, where to begin * I would like it to be known I did not read book one*. so let me say, that I loved this throuple. I think they had a lot of love, the dynamics were well-shared, and they really understood each other and fought for their love. the spice was off the fucking chain. like it was hella spicy and I was not expecting some of it. but that was why I read it to begin with, someone said this was one of the spiciest books she had ever read so I obviously had to check it out. there were no lies on that part. I am a big Riley Hart reader and this was so far from her usual books I have read, I was personally shaken by it. this is a very heavy sub/dom so just keep that in mind.

Now I think my biggest issue with this book was that it was so long. I felt like it kept dragging and I was like damn I'm not even half way there yet. there were very good conversations going on and good scenes but it just felt long. and the dialogue at points felt forced or unnatural like there was no natural flow to conversations. it felt stiff a lot of the time from all the characters, with no natural progression just straight forward/stiff feeling when reading some of the conversations.

overall this was not a bad book, I'm glad I read it but I can see how it can be hit or miss.

Riley has managed to write a sweet but complex story of a damaged character who finds the right combination of love to find his way to healing.

This book brings together some BDSM elements (Dominance and submission) along with polyamoury - even though Ian struggles along the journey. It's very well written and delicately weaves the three main characters together in a clever and intricate tale that draws the reader in and leaves us gasping through each twist of emotion and triumph of character development.

Riley gives us a wonderful set of characters in this second book to the series. You can completely read this as a standalone although you would gain much more insight by reading book 1 first.

Finding Ian is Book 2 in the Finding series by Riley Hart. This story could be called a two-for-one deal as it is about a “throuple” and BDSM!

All three MCs, David the Dom, 40’s, Jordan and Ian, 20’s were in the first book as side characters. The story is told in the first person with each MC taking turns for each chapter. This worked really well and did not hamper the flow of the story. The dynamics of the threesome were nicely balanced.

For someone who has not read many BDSM themed books, I thought Riley Hart handled the subject matter comfortably for me.

Although the title of the book is about Ian, I thought Jordan and David could have shared equal billing.

I am always hesitant about M/M/M stories; it can so easily go wrong if the author doesn't hit the right balance. But it can also be so very right.
David, Jordan, and Ian fit perfectly together, all bringing something to the relationship that they need for it to work and for all of them to get their needs met.
There were quite a few naked scenes in this book, but I loved how they were used to show the tight connection between the guys; how they can be vulnerable together and how they all trust their partners to fulfil their needs whether they be for domination, pain, or just cuddles afterwards. Some of those scenes really blew me away with their intensity.

TRIPLE THE TREATS

This book is a standalone but it began in the book FINDING FINLEY. David, Jordan and Ian met at their friends house Finley and Aidan's. David had never seen two more beautiful men. Jordan and Ian are polar opposites. Jordan is a young man who is over the top and loves attention. He's very sweet, caring and can be a bit of a brat. Ian is quiet, appears brooding and doesn't trust easily. David is determined to learn more about both. This is a MAGNIFICENT story of not judging others for things you don't understand. Relationships are private to the participants and you can't paint everyone with the same brush. I loved the different personalities of these characters and how they brought out the best in each other. As with all RILEY HART characters we were able to see them in all their different stages of love. I really ENJOYED and APPRECIATED this book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND ALSO RECOMMEND FINDING FINLEY!!!!!!

This was excellent! I’ve read a lot of kink/BDSM stories. This is only the second time I’ve read one that is MMM. The author pulled it off fantastically! Hot and steamy, well written! The relationships and each dynamic were spot on! I felt so much for Ian, he had been given a horrible lot in life and he did what he needed to survive. Jordan was just so bubbly and full of sunshine! I loved his nick names he had for Ian and David, so funny! David was the perfect antithesis for these two young men. He knew what they needed and helped them to see what it was on their own and in turn when he needed help, they were there for him. I loved we got to see how Finley and Aidan were progressing in their relationship! Overall, I seriously loved this story!! Well done. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.

LOVED THIS SO MUCH!

David, Jordan and Ian were spectacular! I absolutely adored this story! Three different men, with different needs, coming together in the most perfect puzzle. David was such a great Sir and Daddy. Jordan was truly sunshine and light and everything bright. And Ian, dark and lonely, but craving love and praise like nothing in this world.
Adored them! I really couldn’t be happier with this one.

So good!! I love when an author can take a poly MMM relationship and really make it stand out and give each person their own self. This was an excellent story. I love how each man came into the relationship and how each one was able to give to the others individually and yet all together. I loved the kinky BDSM parts and yes there was a lot of s*x but it fit the dynamic of who each one is and what they needed from the others. Ian was beautiful in his stubborn, yet submissive ways, Jordan was amazing in his full surrender and sassiness, and David was exceptional in his dominant caretaking. I loved this story from the start to the finish.

I sometimes find MMM books very hard to read but this one was well done.
David is a great character and though he was a dominant he was much more likeable than Aiden in the first book. I also really liked how he submitted to Ian. Jordan was a sunshine through and through. I really enjoyed the read.

I loved Finding Finley and really wanted to learn more about Ian’s character. I was so excited when this book came out. Riley does an amazing job of character development and really taking the reader on an emotional journey. Jordan, Ian, and David all have unique perspectives and unlike some other books of three I have read I had no issues following who the chapter was about. This book is hard to put down! It’s definitely one of my new favorites.

I've been looking forward to this book and it was so good! Riley does a fantastic job at building the relationships in the book, and making the poly relationship authentic and believable. There is a lot of s*x, but it's a key part of how Ian, Jordan, and David come to love and trust each other. So yeah, very high heat! The story is mostly focused on the relationship, so the plot is simple and the book itself is very low angst. Definitely pick this up if you're looking for something lighter with a lot of sweet moments and love. I'm not sure that there will be a third book in this series, but I'd read it!

One thing I love about Riley's books is her incorporation of side characters into their own books. We first met David, Ian and Jordan in 'Finding Finley'. David was a best friend to Dom Aiden and Ian was best friend to Finley. Along with the course of the book, Jordan became a friend to Finley as well. They each met from get togethers at Aiden and Finley's place. David and Jordan were interested in each other and had decided to act on it when Ian loses his home due to a flood at his place. Needing a place to stay, Ian takes David up on his invitation of a temporary home. For the most part David is a Dom, but is also a switch, occasionally needing his sub desires fulfilled. Jordan is totally sub so he can not meet all of David's needs. Ian finds an interest in both the men, but he is not quite sure of how he fits into the equation. Soon it is established that the three of them will embark on a journey together, although Ian has issues of inadequacy that causes him to have doubts all the time. What starts out as just fun hook ups, slowly turns into a great MMM age gap love story. They each complete each other in their own way. Although Ian is a submissive as well, he does show signs of Dom, something that benefits David down the road. Their journey brings in stories of friendships and each others insecurity. We meet Tony along the way. an ex-love of David's, that parted ways with him because he was not into the whole Dom/Sub thing and could never understand the lifestyle. David nurtures his 'kitten' and 'pup' to grow and find themselves outside of the relationship. Although Ian does not have relatives outside of his family of his guys along with Aiden and Ian, we see both sides of how family reacts to a poly relationship. While David's Mom and sister are totally supportive, Jordan's grandmother is not "on board", not only with the whole poly thing, but the age gap of David to Jordan. She sees David as a svengali, who is going to deter Jordan from his goals and away from her. Since she already lost Jordan's mother to outer influences, she is afraid the same will happen with Jordan. Their story has lots of emotions, doubts, love and hot sex. After a brief bit of turmoil, Ian rises to the occasion as a "part time" Dom, finally bringing a total union of the three. It was a fun story to read, showing how love an understand amongst lovers and friends can result in a great HEA.

There are so many things I want to say about this book. It's called, "Finding Ian" but we get the point of view from all three of the men involved. David wants to be with Jordan but knows that Jordan alone can't meet his needs. Jordan doesn't want something serious in the beginning, he just wants to feel loved. And Ian, he isn't sure what he wants. He is feeling out of control and doesn't know how to set it to rights. He doesn't want handouts, and he won't ask for help. It definitely takes Ian a long time to get to where he can accept that he wants a relationship with David and Jordan. And not just any relationship, but one where he is a submissive most of the time. Because of his background, he's afraid of letting people in and being left behind, so it takes him a while to accept the love and affection being given to him.

The conflict with Jordan's grandmother takes almost the entire book to get resolved, and then it almost seemed too easy. Her concerns were valid, especially from her point of view. She didn't get to see them together, it seemed like Jordan met this guy twice his age and then his whole life changed. It freaked her out. Then one statement from David and she's all, "I trust you." Jordan should have let them meet sooner, or as his Dom, David should have interceded earlier and explained how and why these changes were being made and demonstrated how good he was for Jordan. It's my only criticism of the book and it's not enough for me to drop a star.

The heat level of this book is a 10/10. Holy moly. Since Jordan and David's relationship begins as just a sexual D/s relationship, they jump in right away. Jordan is is a very open person and David encourages him to be himself. Once the three of them get together steam will be coming out of your e-reader. Everything you would hope to get out of a triad you absolutely do. This book isn't just about hot times though. They grow closer as time goes on and it isn't long before the love is there.

Oh these three!!! Smoking Hot! I’ve been wanting a book with these guys since I met them in Finding Finley and boy was it worth the wait. David, Jordan and Ian are such wonderfully complex characters who are all different yet similar in a way that it is as if fate had broken their pieces so that they would fit perfectly together. Their kinky bits, naughty bits, sexy bits, it was all just so perfectly erotic.

Ian is the best friend of Finley the perfect submissive boy of Aiden, while Ian can see the love in their relationship he doesn’t see himself ever giving up control of his body or heart to anyone ever. His tragic past and overwhelming need to care for and protect others has broken him in a way that must be overcome by the love of two vert special men.

Jordan also a friend of Finley is fun, flirty, and somewhat aloof with a deep down desire to submit. While his submissive streak doesn’t run quite as deep as Finley’s does he finds himself craving the stern hand of a Dom.

David is the friend of Aiden and the older “Daddy” switch Dom of this delicious trinity. Dom David is in control and has a total need to care for those he loves while also acknowledging that sometimes he must give up that control in submission. His past has left him somewhat scarred but aware of what he needs and wants out of life.

These three complete each other in their love. Did I mention how incredibly sexy and erotic this book is? 100% recommend this book. If you haven’t read Finding Finley you can read this one without problem, but I do suggest reading it as well.

Not as good as Finding Finley, in my opinion, but I still loved it.

This involves a Dom/Sub relationship between 3 men. And an age gap.

We meet David, Ian and Jordan in Finding Finley. David is a very dear friend of Aiden's. Also a surgeon. He is a Dom, but on some occasions is craving to be someone's Sub. Ian is Finley's best friend. They basically grew up together in foster homes. Ian always taking care of Finley. Jordan met Finley in school and have become friends with both Finley and Ian. There was a brief moment in Finding Finley where they all meet. David has been intrigued by both Ian and Jordan since. Jordan is craving to be a Sub, but Ian is not sure that is the lifestyle for him. David wants them both and suggest they all three explore what could be.

Very steamy, hot and sexy read. But after a while, I just wanted to know more about our characters and what was happening in their lives. Ian was having a hard time letting David and Jordan in. Jordan was still trying to figure out what he wanted as far as his career goes. Plus he didn't want to let down his Grandma. And David wanted to find the Dom in Ian he knew was there. All very interesting stories and backgrounds. And of course Riley Hart delivers, but I sometimes felt the sex overtook the story. I stilled loved every minute though and do recommend. Especially if you've read Finding Finley.

4.25 stars. Loved this! This was sweet, steamy, kinky, and emotional with hurt/comfort and friends-to-lovers vibes, which I was all for.

Ian, Jordan, and David were so great! I loved them. They were fun, entertaining, likable, relatable, and had depth. I fell for each of them and what they had been through. And I also felt their connections. I loved how their relationships developed and the friends-to-lovers vibes it had, which is one of my favorite tropes. How things progressed between each of them felt authentic and realistic. I also loved how supportive, caring, protective, kind, and respectful they all were, especially how protective and caring David was toward Ian and Jordan. He was such a great dom/daddy/sir. And I loved how patient and understanding he was with both MCs, especially Ian❤️. I really loved these three together and was rooting for them from the start. And the character development in each of them, especially Ian, was fantastic!

I also loved the side characters (I’ll definitely have to check out Finley and Aiden’s book), the writing, the story, the pacing, the kink🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻, the steam, the chemistry, the multi POVs, the angst/drama, the ending, everything. It hooked me from the start and kept me engaged the entire time, which seems harder to do these days, unfortunately😅.

Overall, I really enjoyed this. It was a kinky, steamy, and fun MMM, which is what I wanted, but it also had plenty of depth, emotion, and feels. It packed a punch, and I was here for it! Was a pleasant surprise!😊
