This series is very well done, I enjoyed the books more and more as I read my way through it.
The character development is amazing, and the way the author treated some darker themes connected to them was really good, too.
The rockstars sometimes have darker aspects to their personalities, mostly due to their pasts. Their leading ladies are flawed, too, but still strong in their own way.
I loved all the different relationships, and most of all the friendships between the guys, and later on the friendships their significant others formed as well.
A definite winner!

A Perfect Tempest

A fabulous series about a group of rockers and the women who all face real struggles. Lots of heat, and the opportunity to learn more about issues that we all could face. I have yet to read a book or series by this author that I didn't love.

I loved this box set! This is the complete Tempest Rock Star series! These are each full length told in dual POV. In the prequel they are high school students growing up in a bad neighborhood with little to no family support just looking for a way out of Southside. The band is each other’s family where each member has their own struggles. There is plenty of drama & angst! Each band member has their own book. Their stories are not insta-love, but real relationships. Lots of background given to the characters, not all of it easy to read. Their roads to HEA are not easy, they are long and took time but draw you in and capture your heart. I love how the writing just draws you into the story and it is so hard to put down once you start reading.

This 7 books series is amazing. It starts with War, Bryan and Lacey. In Southside High we meet the band and Lacey. It is the beginning of Tempest. You have the love triangle between War, Bryan and Lacey. Two best friends in love with the same woman. We saw how things begin. Irresitable Refrain picks ups two years later. Lacey seeks refuge with the band after a bad relationship. What will happen this time around since Bryan broke heart and War just broke her. I love this story and growth of the characters. Bryan and Lacey grow together from friendship to lovers. In Entincing interlude we get Justin and Bridget's story. Bridget is Lace's room mate. It such a sweet story and you find out more of Justin's background. In Capitivating Bridge we get War and Shania's story. Stone cold War melts away when he meets Shania. They are two broken hearts that come together to complete each other. In Relentless Rhythm we get Lace's brother Dizzy's story. We know he is a player but when he meets April that all changes. She is into him to but has some secrets that keep her from him. Their story is another amazing story of Michelle's. Tempting Tempo is Sager and Melinda's story. Sager past keeps him for finding love as he feels he is not worthy of it. Melinda only feels alive when she is with Sager. This is a sweet sexy story about finding love and allowing it into your life. And finally we have King's story. His and Miriam's story is hot as hell and so very sweet. King is her brother's best friend. She has been in love with him since she met him. Now is their time. This whole series is full of everything you could want in a rock love story. Drama, secrets, sex, mystery and finally love. Michelle's work is always amazing from beginning to end. This series is no different.

The Tempest series follows the Tempest boys from Southside and the women that capture their hearts. These novels are ALL beautifully rendered and evenly paced. They realistically cover the gritty side of life in a rock band and I so admire MMankin for not shying away from conveying both the good and bad that comes along with that life. The characters are well developed - I got to know each of them in all their glory. Some are a little broken, all are flawed. But they each are resilient and redeemable and they all worked their way into my heart. And then there's the music. MMankin knows her music. The lyrics are always incredible and her portrayal of the band on stage is genuine. All combined, this is a series not to be missed!

One of my favorite rock star series! I was excited when I heard Michelle Mankin was releasing a box set for Tempest World since I only read a couple of the books prior to its release. And this box set is so worth the read! Each story is unique in its own way as each Tempest band member and their life as a rocker is explored. Soo many books in one!

Mankin creates stories that hit all my emotions and create a roller coaster of a ride. I couldn’t put this down. I had to know how each story ended then I couldn’t stop there I had to start the next one. After completing the last one in the box set I feel emotionally drained but emotionally fulfilled at the same time. I felt every emotion I can think of with each book. The author writes about real situations and real emotions for real characters that we can all relate to at some level. I will keep reading her books and enjoying each one. I recommend these books to all my friends.

If you like stories about rock stars and the women who love them, like I am, then you will certainly love the Tempest series by Michelle Mankin. This series has everything you love about the trope, including a brooding lead singer who is his own worst enemy, an epic love triangle, and angst. So much angst. It takes very special women to tame these bad boys and you'll be rooting them on to do just that and for everyone to get their happy ending. Whatever your preferred type is - be it the troubled lead singer, his calmer best friend and bandmate or a sexy drummer - you will find it in this volume of books. So if you like rockers, I highly recommend this series.

This set of books from start to finish was worth every minute I sat down reading it.

We get to meet and love all the band members and their ladies - from the beginning in High School, until they are famous rocking Head Liners on their own tour. With some bumps along the way - they have grown and matured, and asked and received forgiveness - and helped each other in some tough spots.

I'd like to see a book, years down the road - when they're all much older, and see how life's been treating them, and how they dealt with the their families, children and fame.

I loved every one of these guys and I recommend this box set. I’m not going to review each separately here but I have to say is Michelle Mankin is one of my favorite writers for a reason. Her characters are each special, broken, strong and drop dead gorgeous. These rockers have been through hell during their life but they become a family and the women are fierce warriors. I recommend this box set highly.

Gritty, raw and hard to put down portrayals of life in a rock band. Personality clashes, divided loyalties and a glorious reunion keep you reading along. The individual guys are shown from their early days in Southside right up to their tour headliner days. Each guy finds love but of course the road isn’t easy. My favourites are Sager and King and of course their ladies. The endings had me crying and I loved the snippets of songs included.

Getting to know the TEMPEST crew was beyond anything I could have imagined....all the band and all their mates all the trials and triumphs were a journey that I will treasure. There gas never been a more inspirational sexy set of characters let me tell u this....The TEMPEST BOX SET is a collectors item immediately I know I'm going to be reading this over again many times. Ms Mankin as always gets it absolutely right

This one hit home

This series was phenomenal from the first book you the last. Each couple suffered some form of tragedy, some life changing occurence and becoming stronger through love.

Thank you Miss Mankin for the stories you tell. The inspiration and devotion of your characters touched my heart in a very personal way.

complete rollercoaster ride of a read

What a box set, lovable (some of them take a while to get there) characters. Written from multiple view points stories that take you on an tempestuous emotional rollercoaster of a ride, happy, sad, frustrating and funny in parts. Grab your tissues and make time to enjoy it, you can’t stop at one and need to read all 7 and still want more.

What a fantastic box set about all the trials and tribulations of a set of rockstar who had to fight through abuse domestic violence and anorexia to name just a few of the traumas that each couple had to go through to reach the love and happiness that they all deserved.I would recommend this box set absolutely loved it.
