Lord Owen Morrison has long stopped counting the number of women he has seduced.
As a member of the Noble Lords, a group of English lords who play music to woo the wicked women of the ton, Owen knows his skillful fingers with the violin and viola are appreciated both in and out of the bedroom.
A year after his return from the battlefield of Waterloo, his parents have unexpectedly announced his engagement to Lady Amy Perry, a young woman he has never met. Lady Amy comes with a substantial dowry, which will help rescue the Morrison family estate, but Owen is too busy creating mischief to care.
Amy is not going quietly into the arms of an arranged marriage with Owen. She meets him at several of the quartet’s concerts in London, and while she allows him to toy with her, she never reveals her identity. Her heart rules her head, and she falls in love with her scoundrel fiancé.
After Owen fights with a rival musician and is arrested, his father confronts him and demands he set aside his wanton ways. But Amy has seen enough to know what sort of husband Owen will make, and despite her love for him, she calls off the betrothal.
Forced to now watch as Amy flirts with other men, Owen experiences the sharp sting of jealousy and gains a painful understanding of the damage he has done to other men in meddling with their wives.
He begs Amy for another chance. But it will take more than a little sweet talking on his part to convince Amy that he is indeed a changed man.
Amy will only consider his proposal if he agrees to teach her all the wicked sexy things he knows. Owen, of course, is only too willing, but nothing can prepare him for what happens when a sexually educated Amy catches the eye of Owen’s greatest rival.
In the midst of heartbreaking turmoil, Owen begins to wonder whether he has truly lost Amy, or if she is playing him like a finely tuned instrument, one she is determined to master.

My review :
When a profligate meets his match, will he see in time the warning signs ...
At the beginning, I was not sure what to expect from this second installment, as it also shares the first book timeline, and what an arrogant fop Owen is, because he is tricked to a marriage of convenience, he decides he is the only mistreated party! Worst, he has every intention to never change his libertine way. I first thought him a peacock as he has the habit to dress alike, and wondered if he had any depth outside wanting to bed every walking woman around day him. Then while watching interact him with his friends, his family and Amy, a different Owen appeared, still very selfish. But when sentiments are awakened, he discovers the spectrum of the romantic feelings, and he does not always agree with them nor likes his own self. Amy is far bolder I would have expected for a young lady, yet as she grew up in the countryside, she has not the polished upbringing of a London’s miss. And her plan is rather daring, yet she adjusts it perfectly and even when she became more involved than she wanted, she chooses her self respect and preservation over anything else. She might be innocent but she is not naive, she prepared herself to face Owen, but not to the sizzling chemistry they quickly share, why she had to adapt her scheme to suit her purpose, and in the main time loose slowly her heart. They soon get caught in the intricate web of their own lies and deceit, she unable to come up to tell him who she is when he hides he has a fiancée.
This is where despite the blurb revealing too much of the story, I was completely entranced when the plot took an unexpected turn for me as the author did not choose the easy path. It was not a rushed read as Mrs Sasha Cottman takes time to settle things between them, to make them see their wrong doing and give them time to correct their bad behaviors or wasted deeds. Owen is so flawed, it was awesome to see him evolve as he has a long way in front of him from the self centered haughty rake to a man worthy to be loved. I admired Amy, while I found her idea very risky, she saw every aspects of it and refused to compromise. 5 stars for this entertaining sensual read.
My only complain is the cover does not reflect the portrait of Owen as he is described with longer hair, and very specific details.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, prior to it I preordered my own. Here is my true and unbiased opinion.
Lord Owen Morrison, Earl Morrison, is an unapologetic rake. Considered a hero of the Napoleonic Wars, he and his friends are used to having no issues with the ladies. But when the arrival of a group of handsome and talented Italian musicians threatens all that, Owen and his friends form their own musical group, the Noble Lords, in an effort to regain the attention of London's most wicked ladies. It doesn't help that Owen's father has informed him of his impending nuptials to Lady Amelia Perry, whose dowry will save the Morrison's from their growing debt. Owen has no interest in marriage, especially not to someone he's never met, and continues his wicked ways in an attempt to simply forget the fast-approaching end-of-summer wedding.
Amy has no intention of meekly entering any marriage, especially one with a man whose dismal reputation suggests he is incapable of love or fidelity. But Owen is the son of her father's best friend and Amy won't be able to get out of the arrangement with any great ease, so she and her brother venture to London to take Owen's measure for themselves. Under a false identity, Amy meets Owen at several of his Noble Lords performances, where she finds herself unwittingly charmed by her rakish fiance. As the two spend time together, feelings become involved, but, though she knows she loves him, Amy calls off the engagement when she believes Owen will never be faithful. Likewise, Owen finds himself having real feelings for the first time and for the mysterious lady he believes he can never have any real future with. In losing Amy, Owen realizes the pain he's caused with his careless behavior over the years, but his change of heart may not be in time for him to have any future with the woman he now knows he loves.
I've never read a rockstar romance, but I love historicals so I was interested to try a new spin on the genre. This was unapologetically inaccurate in some historical aspects and had very modern language, but it wasn't trying to be a super accurate historical, but rather just a fun marriage of genres, and so I think it actually really worked. Both Amy and Owen were hypocritical, highly flawed characters, but they both admitted and eventually took responsibility for their actions and deceptions and that made them more likable and relatable for me. I really had no expected to like Owen given his philandering history, but he reformed well, though he still won't go down as one of my favorite heroes. I did at times feel like I was missing parts of the story from where the other books in the series are meant to tie in, so although this is a standalone, I think I definitely need to read the rest of the series to get the full picture.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a way to start a new series! Owen: Rockstar Romance meets Historical Romance is book 1 in Sasha Cottman’s new series Rockstars. I have to admit that the title cracks me up as it was hard to picture regency gentleman as rockstars but what a fabulous read. This is truly an original with such an original story that has never been done before and I say “Bravo Sasha”! The character are just wonderful and have a tad of a mystery about them that I am intrigued and can’t not wait for book 2 in this series. This story has a fake identity, jealousy, an arranged marriage, heart break, needing to marry for money, secrets, friendships, a loving brother and love. I am highly recording you read this book.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I am loving this series, sexy, sensual and lots of fun with fabulous characters who are a delight to meet, this is Owen’s story with Amy the perfect fit for this hot skilled hero, she is no pushover and it was thoroughly enjoyable watching Owen fall in love.
Lord Owen Morrison has returned from the battlefields of Waterloo determined to get back into the life of the ton and finding eager wives to enjoy, but his father has decided it is time for Owen to marry and has picked his fiancé. Owen is not happy he is not impressed with his father’s choice a country chit and Owen is busy for the summer playing his violin with the Nobel Lords band, but when he meets the delectable Diana, he is fast becoming a one woman man with a serious problem brewing regarding his fiancé.
Lady Amy Perry is not thrilled that her father has chosen her husband and begs for some time in London to get to know what her fiancé is like, her father allows her to go with her brother Colin. Amy sets out with a plan to meet and get to know Owen, it is not long before they are spending time together and getting to know each other in a very sensual way even if Owen does not know who she is. Things come to a head when Owen loses his cool and Amy walks away and decides to let him know who she is and breaks off the engagement.
The chemistry between Amy and Owen is scorching, I loved Amy her strength and her courage to make sure that she will enjoy her marriage and Owen what can I say a rake through and through, a gifted musician and a hero falling in love and I did love him, Amy truly was the best heroine for him. I loved this journey, another page turner thank you so much MS Cottman, I look forward to Callum’s story. This is one that I highly recommend a fabulous regency with a difference.
Owen is book two in the Regency Rockstar romance series by Sasha Cottman. As I have been reading these books, I think I have found my new favorite heroine - Lady Amelia Perry. I enjoyed her wit and her wisdom. The hero Lord Owen Morrison is a typical rake. He is very easy on the eyes, talented with his violin and has an insatiable sexual appetite. Unfortunately for Owen, his family needs him to marry a wealthy woman, so much so that papers have already been signed and he is betrothed. When Amelia is told she has to marry the worst Rakehell in London, she devised a plan to get out of it by proving to her father what a worthless man Owen actually is. I was skeptical when I read the first book. Regency Rockstars just gave me pictures of Kiss in cravats. But I am thoroughly hooked now. There are some truly hilarious laugh out loud moments. There are a number of sex scenes. Overall a very creative, new look at the Regency Era. I was given a copy of this book.
Loved this story of a lord determined to enjoy all of the ladies he can before his forced marriage to a lady he has never met, and his fiancé, who is determined to prove to her father that her betrothed is not suitable for marriage. I received an ARC of this book.
Sasha Cotton is a new author for me. I read My Duchess, My Wife in the Duke in a Box Anthology. I really liked the story so thought I would try another of hers to see if I liked her. That is how I found this series.
I really liked Book 1 but LOVED this book. My favorite so far. I loved the story, the characters, Owen and Amy, their chemistry.. Just all of it. And I enjoyed each of the "Lords" and am looking forward to reading about the last two.
Wow....I got so into this story. I love Sasha Cottman's writing - it always makes me feel good, even though I do shed a tear or two sometimes. I absolutely loved this story of Owen and Amy, and I adore this series so far. Thank you Sasha, you make my days less lonely. 5☆
E poi perché darla in sposa a 'sto farfallone? Come andrà a finire?

I love this series but I just knew I would - what a hoot Regency Rockstars! But they really are & I have loved the first two Reid & Owen - the R & O in rock, can't wait to read the C & K (Callum & Kendal).
Lord Owen Morrison is a unashamed rake who has bedded 1/2 of the ladies in society & he is darn proud of it - he is also an accomplished violinist in the group of 4 "Noble Lords" musicians. He, unfortunately, is facing an arranged marriage at the end of summer. His father, Marquess of Lowe, has contracted his son & a daughter to one of his close friends. Owen must marry an heiress to pay the debts to save their estate after his grandfather blew all the money & did not have a care in seeing it prosper. Owen knows it must be done but his last few months will be spent bedding, partying & playing to audiences with the Noble Lords - then he would be shackled, not faithful, to a lady he has never met.
Lady Amelia Perry does not want a marriage to a man she has never met, even if their fathers are best of friends. She makes a deal with her father, she is to have some time to go to London & prove to her father that Owen is a rogue of the worst kind & therefore, force her father to call off the betrothal. Her plan is attend the London social scene, find Owen & det the groundwork to seduce him under the guise of being an abandoned wife.
The lies she tells, the truths he doesn't tell, & the adventures they have, all ends in them both falling in love with the other. This can't work out smoothly, will she ever be able to get past his lack of honesty, can he really be happy & in love with one woman for the rest of his life. I highly recommend this book - it has so much humor, romance & spice with great characters & a wonderful story to back it all up! Another entertaining read from Sasha Cottman!
Couldn’t finish this book so no rating. I hated this hero and disliked the setting of this book. It didn’t feel regency at all. More like a modern novel set in the olden days. Like the author wanted to write a historical novel but a rockstar romance at same time. I despised this hero. He was a rake of no sorts. Sleeping with married women, no regrets, no guilt whatsoever. When he’s engaged to the heroine he is already planning on cheating on her without even meeting her. The whole setting him up was a bit OTT. But in the end that did tell me that this man will never change. He’s fallen in love with his mistress who is actually his fiancee in disguise, but plans on keeping the mistress on the side once married. It doesn’t matter to me that the mistress and heroine are the same person. He is a cheating bastard, not redeemable and has no respect for “both” women by all the secrets he keeps. I couldn’t finish this book with the knowing of their HEA. This hero is one you have to avoid and don’t want to be seen with. For sure a walking STD and nothing shows he will stay faithful. Sometimes I like reading books with a reformed rake and one who can really redeem himself can swoon me over. It happened before. Just not with this book.

Owen- Rockstar Romance meets Historical Romance “ by Sasha Cottman is a tale of one Lord Owen Morrison...a virtuoso of the violin and viola ...and an unrepentant rake amongst London’s ton...and ex-soldier his family would just as soon see wed. Therefore his arranged betrothment to one Lady Amelia Perry...a fate he would most assuredly wish to avoid like the plague. But when Amelia plots to get out of the proposed union herself ...by uncovering his wastrel ways...the two find themselves embroiled in a passionate drama...which can have only one outcome...that of a HEA with the two of them suitably wed. Read & see!! Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It is book two of Regency Rockstars. This time the story was about Owen. Owen was One of the quartet named Nobel Lords. He played a Stradivarius violin which was a family heirloom. His family were in dire straits and his Father and Amelia’s planned an arranged marriage in order for Meg’s dowry to help pay off outstanding debts left by a gambling grandfather. Meg and Owen had an adventure getting to be husband and wife. This is an excellent read and i did not want it to end.
Owen falls falls in love with his scheming chosen bride, although he doesn't know it is her. Its amazing no one recognizes her brother who squires her around. The plot also explains his actions in book 1.
If you are looking for some karma show, this one might be right for you. (Although I don't think MMC have suffered enough.) This book is not that kind of heart warming romance. And truth is I didn't come for that as well. So the low rating isn't because of I feel being tricked.
The author's depiction of FMC keeps changing. At first, she is described like a innocent girl and nervous about she might failing to pretend to be a married woman. Then, she is portrayed as someone who has had sexual experiences with the other. By the end, she suddenly becomes a fierce woman who can threaten MMC with a knife not to cheat. I really don't know how to understand this character. It seems that her existence is merely a medium for MMC to recognize himself. She takes on whatever image MMC needs at each stage. It's very hard for me to think her as a completed character.

Owen soon learns that the woman he is having an affair with is none other than his fiancée, which makes his ecstatic. He is in love with the woman he is to marry. The only problem is that Amy is furious with him. Can he get back in her good graces?
I really enjoyed Owen and Amy's story. I kinda figured while reading book 1 that the woman Owen was involved with would end up being the one he was betrothed to, so it didn't come as a surprise to me. I love that she was taking a step to help herself. She was told of this marriage, but she wanted to know what kind of man she would be marrying, so took it upon herself to find out. Genius!!
I'm excited to see how Callum and Eliza find their happiness in the next book in the series!
Owen: Regency Rockstars #2 by Sasha Cottman is a wonderfully entertaining read! The four-book series tells the tales of friends who, upon returning from Waterloo, find their attractiveness with women waning because of a group of Italian musicians. The four decide to form their own musical group and battle the Italians. Each book so far, while focusing on one Rockstar, has the ensemble as secondary characters throughout the book.
Owen and Lady Amelia Perry’s marriage is to be one of convenience. Their fathers are close friends; Owen’s family desperately needs the money and Lady Amelia has the dowry, so their fathers sign the papers betrothing them. Owen, however, is a well-known rake who has no intention of changing his ways. Lady Amy has no intention of marrying someone she doesn’t know, let alone someone like Owen. She convinces her father that if she can show how him how awful Owen is, the betrothal can be called off. In London, Amy assumes a new identity and sets out to prove Owen is incapable of being faithful.
What ensues is a well-written story complete with love, heartbreak, loyalty, betrayal, jealousy, humor, and sensuality. The chemistry between Owen and Amy is excellent and there is such camaraderie between Owen and his friends. Amy’s brother, Colin, stands by her side throughout her time in London. There should be more older brothers like Colin! (does he get a book too?) You do get a glimpse of what the other Rockstar’s stories may be about – enough to make you very curious! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I received an advanced copy from the author. I happily read the book and provide my opinion.
In the second book in the Regency Rockstars series we get to see the Noble Lords band from a little different point of view. Owen is a gifted musician and a consummate rake. Facing an arranged marriage to a young woman he has never met, he decides to continue to enjoy the willing women of the ton before he weds, and maybe even after. Lady Amelia Perry, the woman to whom Owen is betrothed is not happy about the arrangement either. She sets off to London (properly chaperoned by her brother) to see what kind of man he is, and if necessary, prove to her father that her betrothed is not suitable for her. She has a plan. She will bring Owen around, or send him on his way. Which will it be? Will they find love or will she give him the boot?
This story, like the first one, is engaging, has a good dose of drama, and is laugh-out-loud funny. The characters are interesting and likeable. The men are talented and arrogant, and rakish, as well as honorable and caring. Amy, like Eliza and Lavinia, is intelligent, independent, strong enough to set Owen straight. The scene in Hyde Park is perfect for bringing these two back together. I especially liked Amy’s explanation of future uses for her knife. I enjoyed this addition to a series with a wonderful twist on Regency and Rockstar romances.
Owen is the second book in the fun new Regency Rockstars series. The series is based on four lords who have returned from the war as heroes, but their popularity to the wicked women is in danger. A group of handsome Italian musicians is stealing the show! The lords decide to challenge the Italians and start their own musical quartet known as the Noble Lords. A storyline of regency rock stars that were noble gentleman was original and very entertaining. It was a wonderful book to add to the series and I can’t wait to read the next one. Lord Owen Morrison’s family was broke and the only way to save their estates was for Owen to marry an heiress. His father, the Marquess of Lowe, arranged a marriage between Owen and his friend’s daughter, Lady Amelia “Amy” Perry. He had until the end of the summer to marry her and he was determined to enjoy his last summer of bachelorhood playing with the Noble Lords. Amy was upset when she heard about the arranged betrothal, but she was able to convince her father to allow her to go to London and observe Owen to establish if he would make a decent husband. When she arrives in London, she starts to scheme on catching his eye and making him fall in love with her. Will her scheme work or will it backfire on her?
What does it take to get a rake to come to heal? Not a blasted arranged marriage by his father. She would hand over the dowry and he would bed her as long as it took to get a heir, while meanwhile he would continue his scandalous ways. Yep. All neat and tidy. Another imaginative second story in the Regency Rockstars and this time we have the talented Owen, who plays the violin and viola. Part of the quartet of four talented Lords, he intends to enjoy himself to the max until the dreaded wedding day comes! Lady Amelia Perry, is not real happy about the arranged union either and is determined to me her future intended without him knowing who she is... It is not like they have ever met and she sets out with her brother to London. Can you just imagine how this turns out? Oh, she meets Owen and yes, he drags her under his charming spell. The sparks between them are real and they act on their desires. But can she ever trust him to give up his scandalous ways? Sasha Cottman does it again with this second addition to this series. You don't want to miss it!!
This book basically runs concurrently with Reid's story so some things overlap. Now we know where Owen was when he was disappearing during rehearsals, etc. in the first book. Owen and Amy have been betrothed to each other without ever having met. Their fathers brokered the deal because they are old friends and Owen's family needs Amy's dowry. Amy has no intention of marrying a man she has not met and who also holds a terrible reputation. She has no faith he could really love her or be faithful. She travels to London under an assumed name to meet and get to know her fiance. I really liked Amy but Owen has few redeeming qualities. He does grow up considerably during the course of the book and I in the end I felt like they deserved each other and their happy ending.
