Sulle orme della < a href="https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Pandor..., Rory abbandona Roma e l'Impero (dove lo abbiamo seguito in The Lone Centurion Vol. 1) per approdare in Cornovaglia, alla corte di Artù.
Ci sono tutti, non esattamente come sono descritti dai poemi più conosciuti, ma amici e nemici sono presenti e in forma.
2.1 The Once and Future Nurse by Alfie Shaw
Mentre Lancillotto è ferito e, per salvare lui e Camelot, la sola soluzione sembra essere trovare la Pandorica... almeno secondo Merlino.
Fortunatamente, con cure che possono facilmente essere scambiate per magia, c'è Rory a prendersi cura del cavaliere e della corte.
2.2 The Glowing Warrior by Tim Foley
Grazie alle sue abilità Rory diventa un cavaliere della Tavola Rotonda e Lancillotto è il suo scudiero.
Ovviamente ci sono delle imprese da compiere, anche se si rischia di cadere in un complicato tranello.
2.3 The Last King of Camelot by Kate Thorman
Artù e Ginevra sono in fuga da Camelot con l'intera corte. Le profezie di Merlino sembrano avverarsi e i nemici sono tutti riuniti per uccidere il Re e prendere il controllo del Regno e della Pandorica.
Rory, fortunatamente, non è pronto a soccombere... neppure a combattere, ma c'è chi lo farà al meglio.
La storia di Camelot viene in parte riscritta, ma mantiene i suoi tratti più importanti. I vari personaggi non sono proprio quelli eroici letti nelle varie saghe, ma fanno del loro meglio.
Dopo tutto non è il vero mondo, ma quello creato da Amy, quindi qualche differenza ci può stare. Senza contare che tutto l'insieme si mantiene leggero e divertito, anche nei momenti più cupi, permettendo di godersi al meglio le epiche avventure di Sir Rory.
Attendiamo il terzo boxset, per scoprire dove ci porteranno.

The misadventures of Rory Williams throughout history while guarding Amy Pond as she is sequestered in the Pandorica continue. And this time around our Lone Centurion is stuck in Camelot.
2.1 The Once and Future Nurse ~ Rory finds himself employed as the apprentice to the court physician at Camelot. His first patient? Lancelot, who promptly falls head over heels for his temporally displaced nurse. Meanwhile, Merlin looks for the Pandorica and its legendary guardian, the Lone Centurion. Shenanigans ensue (3/5).
2.2 The Glowing Warrior ~ Well, I never expected Camelot to be so … silly. Of course, had I paid better attention to Monty Python and the Holy Grail more closely, I’d have recalled that Camelot is a silly place. I wouldn’t find this story so painfully … silly. The ending makes for a lot of this … silliness, but not entirely (2/5).
2.3 The Last King of Camelot ~ Merlin vs. Arthur? Yep. It’s the end times. And guess who has to save the day? That’s right: Gwynivere. Wait? What? Where’s Rory? A nice conclusion to this trilogy of campy tales (3/5).

I considered rating this a 3 since it’s not as good as the first set, but it did have my attention. So 3.5/5, I guess? I did sometimes wonder if Lancelot’s affection toward Rory was being treated in too jokey of a manner, but others might be more qualified to have a proper verdict on that. It was overall an interesting spin on Arthurian mythology.
