Daire Bagley has taken over his father's empire after his father's defeat as the long-time mayor. But when he meets college-age Aria his goals somehow begin to change. He still wants to beat Mayor Sean Green in the next election, but he also wants to protect Aria from her boss, Roger, at the restaurant and begins to want to sort out the men inherited from his father who are going to be loyal to him as he cleans up his father's empire. These goals lead to thrilling and dangerous adventures that keep the pages flying.

This is a short , fast paced romance between Daire and Aria. They have an instant chemistry but she's not willing to get involved with him and his dark ties. The author packs a punch in this quickie as she brings this steamy story. It's well written with vividly painted scenes , moves fluidly and is a great read.

A short, well-written bad boy, good girl romance. The characters have amazing chemistry between them. How can one woman change my life's journey?

Daire's dad is the former mayor, who also ran several illegal businesses. Now I'm the new leader of my father’s various illegal businesses and running for mayor.

Aria's working, when he approaches her. She knew right away who he was. He's trouble, someone she needs to stay away from. Yet she is drawn to him.

Daire's father was the mayor and has illegal dealings. Daire is taking over. He meets Aria and now he is rethinking everything. Aria know who he is and knows she should stay away. They are drawn together. Daire is total alpha. Aire is just a sweet woman. Together they are combustible. This is a short story but is not lacking for action and interaction. This is a great story.

Loved the book it was great,the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Daire has taken over his father's empire when he defeated long-time mayor. When he meets Aria she was young, the chemistry between them was hot and intense, he begin to change the way he thinks. He wants to win against the Mayor in the next election, he also wants to protect Aria from her boss.

This is a short story with alot of punch. A lot of action. Daire and Arias' story. Bad boy meets good girl and can't let her go. He keeps her safe.
I listened to Audible version and wasn't too impressed with this narrator. She came off almost sing songy. I felt she didn't bring any emotion to her reading. She didn't perform the different personalities.

This is a short read focusing on Daire Bagley, who inherits a corrupt business empire from his father, and Aria, a college age woman working at a restaurant. Their story is interesting. The characters face decisions about their lives together as the book progresses.

This was a great short read. I love seeing a guy making changes in his life for his lady. I would definitely recommend this book.

I couldn't do it. I couldn't finish it. The story seemed forced and was just completely unbelievable. I wanted to like it but it just wasn't for me.
