During her journey to protect her son from those who would exploit him, Pam realizes it isn’t Daniel who needs help, but herself. With the help of her mate and son, a path leads her to the life she was meant to have—without the horrors.

The Mate series delves into the kickass world of the Warriors’ mates and how united, they can make a difference—just like their badass Protectors. Follow along to see how these exceptional women’s newfound freedom affect those around them and which Warrior may or may not support their feisty independent mate’s new and exciting path.

Happy sighs all around.

I have always been a fan of The Protectors series and followed it religiously waiting for every release. So when The Mates series started rolling out I was positively ecstatic about the leading ladies getting to have their own say and do things their way without having overprotective alpha men hanging over them.

I was excited about Pam's story because Duncan happens to be super alpha to the point it's frustrating at times for me to read because I just wanted Pam to get her own back and stand up for what she wanted.

I wasn't disappointed.

Now I will be honest and say there at times is still some frustrating moments for me where I wish she'd of been a little stronger against Duncan and his over protective shenanigans. But it didn't make me want to take a star away either. It's just a personal preference for me.

Pam's story is heavily focused on her and Duncan's son Daniel and his very unclear future. I loved that Teresa found a way to build the foundations of his future story. It's done in a way that gives you just enough to know his beginning so that where ever his book takes him, you understand how he got to that point and how his parents dealt with the revaluations of what his future look like. I like that it's so heavily tied with Pam because she is his mother and being that he technically is only 7 makes her reaction and fight more realistic in terms of why she's heavily focused on him. Plus the situation is quirky anyhooo and is obviously the foundations for what's going to be the plots for the next few books in The Protectors series.

I think her story showcases the many strengths of her despite her quiet persona. She is willing to go through and do anything if that means finding answers for her son. For herself. The sacrifices, the lies and secrets as uneasy as it makes her feel are worth it for him. A mother's love knows no bounds and she is fiercely protective of her baby despite him not being one for long.

I love that her love for Duncan and Daniel is singlehandedly the most important thing to her. But she does trust her mate enough to allow him the reins to steer them. Her growth is tremendous through her journey in terms of acceptance, love and standing up for what she believes is right. Pam will nearly always fold under Duncan's dominance which can for me be frustrating because of her more outgoing personality before everything happened but for her it's peace and love so I can be mad at that. She's sweet and strong and loyal and I absolutely loved getting to see a feistier side to her personality again in this book. She will surprise you.

As usual this author delivered an action packed gripping story that really never had a dull moment. From hilariously dysfunctional family like relationships with endless amounts of banter and bickering. To the most outrageous and unexpected revelations that had me shookith and excited for future possibilities. This books will keep you on your toes.

I loved the sweet protective love Pam has for her son. I love her and Duncan's relationship and how he always tries to protect her. I absolutely adore the characters and the chemistry between them all. It really is one big dysfunctional family.

Pam's book does touch on some topics that may be triggers to others so be aware there is talk of abuse in here and some super emotional moments that will have your heart breaking in two.

As a whole I was not disappointed. I'm so excited for Chargers story and the rest of the crazy ladies. I can't wait to see what other trouble they get up to proving that the ladies can do it just as good as the guys.. if not better.

The Mates series is as much of a hit for me as The Protectors series is!.
I will say though that it's best to read the protectors first because otherwise you're missing so much in terms of the dynamics between the characters.

I want to give this a five star rating because overall, I think everything about this story was consistent with the quality of storytelling that Ms. Gabelman is known for. I really enjoyed Pam and Duncan's story.. .that was like book 2 or 3, if I go off the top of my head. So, I knew about Daniel, and through the other series, that there was something special about him. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but my primary reason for leaving it as a four-star is because of him. This book could have been titled Daniel and it would have been equally as fitting; in a way it's understandable, but on top of him essentially becoming a cheap plot device, it left me a bit annoyed.

I think this is the first time I'm a bit disappointed at a Warriors book. The whole "We're the big Warriors, we're not telling our mates anything because we want to protect them" is getting really old. And it forces the mates to go behind their backs or they would forever be in the dark.
Plus, Daniel telling Sloan the office was bugged was low, even more because he then proceeded to tell Pam about the thing in her neck. Dude, pick a side.
But Sloan telling Pam to go before discussing Daniel was wrong. No matter how emotional or protective, she IS his mother. She has the right to know everything that's going on with him, even more if Duncan knows. That was really low on Sloan, it's like him saying "hey, she's only a woman, we're the badasses, she can't deal with this, so let's keep her nice and ignorant, even if it concerns her son".
No. Just no. He had no right to do that. And Duncan was even worse because he didn't protest. He would have kept Pam in the dark. So Wrong.
It's fine that Pam decided she isn't Warrior material. She didn't have to be, especially if she's happy being just a mother, a mate, a friend. But she needed to have the option to decide that, and it was denied her until the end.
I don't know... I really don't like the Warriors attitude. I hope it will change in the future.

A Gripping Story That Pulled On All My Mothering Instincts.

I’m already a big fan of Teresa Gabelman’s writing style. You can find all the books in her The Protectors series and The Mates series on my bookshelves.

Pam didn’t disappoint.
I’d already fallen in love with this little family from the previous books. I love Duncan’s alpha-ness which makes him strong and domineering but always puts Pam and Daniel first with his heightened protectiveness (like all the VC Warriors). Pam’s resilience and gumption are second to none, and her drive to protect her son, Daniel, is monumental. Daniel is not your usual seven-year-old boy – he’s special. He has a wisdom beyond his years with a heart that’s kind, caring and full of love for his parents and his extended VC Warrior family. The Roarks are strong but together they’re invincible.

Pam has been part of The Protector series from the very beginning.
Her storyline has been one of high emotions and appalling brutality. From one trauma to another. However, Pam has proved time and time again that she has the strength of character to survive whatever life throws at her. Her journey in this book was raw and visceral but ultimately inspiring.

Jeffrey Kafer IS the voice of The Protectors.
Pam was read by The Protectors’ narrator, Jeffrey Kafer. I loved the way he narrated the book; his pace, tone and performance certainly added an extra dimension that kept me hooked, not wanting to turn it off. Jeffrey brought out each and every emotion that the characters were feeling. His performance enhanced the tension, highlighted the inhumanity and encompassed the joy.

I loved that this audiobook gave me all the emotions I’ve come to expect.
Pam horrified and shocked me at times, it got my blood boiling too. However, rest assured, dear readers, like all of Ms Gabelman’s books, the humour and love shine through it all. Pam hits all the right spots and warmed my old romantic heart.

I’d recommend Pam to lovers of relationship stories with gritty plots and lots of passion.

Pam or Daniel?

I love the Protector series with the VC warriors and their mates. The author portrays them all as different individuals each with different personalities and humor and does a very good job writing all characters in the series into each book. The humor is fantastic between the warriors and Sloan who is about to lose it with Steve in one scene. However I can only give three star’s because I felt the book was more focused on Pam’s son Daniel and not on Pam herself. I would have given five stars, but felt this book should have been about main character and it wasn’t it was focused on the son. In the book, Pam was portrayed as the protective mother who did not want to tell her son her past life with Kenny. She wanted to be included with information and wanting to know everything that is going on with the VC Warriors and Daniel to get herself involved. Duncan protected Pam by keeping Pam out of the Warriors business and not letting her get involved with anything that included danger. The previous mate stories were based on the Mates themselves trying to find themselves wanting to become warriors in their own ways but struggled due their overly protective Warriors mates. Which is what the book is trying to portray, the book focused more on Daniel a seven year old who grew up so fast, became an adult and found out about his biological father was an evil person trying to destroy the VC Warriors. I liked how Duncan is the real Dad in the story and understood what Daniel is going through and felt Pam needed to let go and let her son be the man he has become. I felt that this story should have been named “Daniel” instead of “Pam” as it was focused more on Daniel life. I can’t wait for the next book to come out, as I hope the books are focused on the mates and warriors.

Pam, The Mate Series book 3 by Teresa Gabelman
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
I was really looking forward to this book but kinda feel it was just as much Daniel’s book as it was Pam’s book. This book was Pam dealing with her past that also affected her son Daniel and mate Duncan. We find out even more about Kenny, what he did we didn’t know about, and who he was in business with we didn’t previously know. Like dude was so bad!!
We also see Duncan trying too be a badass warrior but also dealing with his son and mate’s need to know and not know what is happening in the world. We see Daniel coming to terms with what makes him special plus what may be his downfall. We see Pam struggling as a mom, wife, social service employee and so much more. She wants her family to be safe and her friends to be ok, but she is also losing control of everything around her.
The book was good as it moved us forward in the world. We see Duncan and Pam reaffirming their love and commitment to each other, but we also see the struggles that being parents have on them.
I loved getting to know grown up Daniel. I can’t wait for his real book even though I am sure it’s a ways off since he is not ready for “grown up stuff” yet.
I loved the movement in the story line of Charger and Raven. I am eagerly awaiting that book in my greedy hands!!

I was buzzing when I finished reading this book it was so good and I can’t wait for the next book in the mates series. The Mates series is just as good (if not better) than the Warriors series

My favourite book of the series.
Pam is astronomically good. Sensational. Phenomenal.
Pam, Duncan and Daniel are as close as close can be. Happy. Thriving or so they think. Pam has concerns. Very big concerns about her rapidly maturing son. She goes behind everyone’s back to meet a doctor recommended to her she needs answers for Daniel.
Daniel is looking for answers. He wants to talk to anyone but his mum. After meeting Steve and Adam who refuse to give him answers he loses his control on a guy that’s nasty and actually deserves it.
He does get answers after having to go through some other things first.
Duncan has some hidden secrets that Pam overhears. She leaves feeling angry with her Mate.
A new enemy has arisen. One the VC will need Daniel’s help with. Together they can be stronger. But can they all work together?
This book has everything needed for a top bestseller. Absolutely loved every page even if I did cry in some scary places. I highly recommend reading this.

Pam Roark is desperate to understand what’s happening to her son, Daniel, and equally desperate to keep her mate, Duncan, unaware how far she’s gone. Daniel’s not like any other seven-year old anyone has ever even heard of and he’s experiencing his own drama with a time and person Pam would love to forget. But the blinders must come off.

Pam’s consternation over Daniel is shared by others while Orjyll’s demise has the demons scrambling for power, as they’re interest in Daniel is peaked, keeping their thorn in the side du jour status. Dark Guardian, Charger, a character this reader wants more of, is on hand to provide words of doom, wisdom and encouragement.

Meanwhile, an insidious new weapon against the VC is put into play, taking down an intrepid warrior while spurring the others on. The mates come to believe, they too, are tools in the VC toolbelt that should also be effectively used. United the mates decide there is no time like the present to find out!

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I get just as excited when a Mate Series book comes out as a Protector Book. This time its Pam’s turn.

Pam has overcome so much in her time. However, watching her little boy grow up so fast Is proving to be the most difficult. What mother couldn’t sympathize with her. What most parent sees happen in 18 years Pam has seen Daniel go though in 7 years. Pam is trying to protect Daniel but Daniel doesn’t see it that way. Duncan is there for Pam but sees Daniel is more than a 7 year old boy.

I enjoyed seeing Duncan and Pam’s relationship grow but felt this was just as much Daniel’s book as Pam’s. I like how the story moved forward and opened up more of the story line for the Protector Series.

I like the way the story line is going and that we will get to learn more about Raven and Charger next.

I was a little leary about this story. Pam was not my favorite character. In fact she was pretty low on the totem pole. That was until I read her story.

Pam is having difficulty excepting Daniel's uniqueness. She doesn't understand how her seven year old little boy can be a full grown man with special abilities. She is grasping at straws trying to discover a simple excuse. The question is will she be able to accept the truth.

So much is revealed in this story it was jaw dropping. I was reminded of a few things that I had forgotten over time.

This story is a great teaser of what's to come. Mind blowing. Scary situations are around every corner. The vampires are in danger, more danger than every before. Luckily they have witches on their side.

I was a little bit hesitant about the mates series but I have been pleasantly surprised because each book gives us a deep insight into how the mates really feel. I really love Pam and Duncan. I have read their story so many times and I wasn’t disappointed. The love story between Pam and Duncan is beautiful. His love for Pam is beautiful to read. I know I’m just waffling but I just love Pam and Duncan!

This story involves her son Daniel who is human/vampire/other being in short very powerful. Some Demons are trying to get to him and it’s up to the Warriors to try and stop that also the Warriors have something else to worry about. You get the usual jostling between the Warriors and their mates. Steve made me laugh so many times it was a pleasant read.

Awesome series

Pam is worried sick over her son Daniel. He's seven years old but his body and mind are that of a young adult. She contacts a genetic doctor but then has second thoughts. In the meantime Daniel is coming into his own powers. He's not entirely human but no one knows what he is. Pam was injected with a serum and then raped, which resulted in her getting pregnant. Charger is the first to realize Daniel is part demon and that he will play a major role in the lives of the warriors. I love the characters in this series and I especially loved reading how Daniel becomes a man and gains their respect. Couldn't stop reading.

Pam is a social worker and is mated to Duncan. She will do anything for her mate and son Daniel. Daniel is changing in ways that are terrifying Pam. To find out what is going on, Pam goes to a doctor outside the Warriors. But when an attack does series damage to Pam, everyone comes together to help her. Will Pam join the other mates and become a Warrior?

I know this is short but it is a little hard to explain without giving anything away. Great story with all the characters in it. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Another fabulous book in this series! Action packed, steamy, tear jerker, gets you standing on edge so you can't put it down. Pam and Duncan are a truly loving couple who have a son named Daniel. While Daniel is Pam's biological son, Duncan is not but is his father in name and has been there for him since his birth. Daniel is a special young man who has some struggles with what his powers might be although his mother Pam has more struggles since her instinct to protect him is so great. Must read!

This was such a great book. I literally laughed out loud, and cried. The characters of both The Protectors and The Mates series are like family. I love every one of them and only want the best for them. Pam is my favorite so far of the Mates Series. I'm so looking forward to the next book. Teresa Gableman never disappoints, and I cannot say it enough....if you haven't read her books, you need too.

Another Great one

I have read every single book in this series, starting with Nicole and Damon. I love them all. The way each book centers on one couple, but each and every other characters are crucial to the story as well. Slade is my all time favorite, but I still hold out that maybe one will come to top him. I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you Teresa for sharing your beautiful brain with us.

More Daniel than Pam

Loved it. We get to see Pam in a worry over Daniel. Duncan was not worried but he was trying to bridge the gap between Pam and Daniel. Daniel is confused. He feels alone and his mother is upset. Duncan tries to let them work it out but steps in when needed. We learn new things about Daniel. Pam finally lets go of her worries. Steve is hilarious. Love, love, loved it!!

Love this series

Poor Pam has been through the ringer but with Duncan all is right with the world except for worry over her son Daniel, understandable as the kid grows rapidly, I love how each couple have issues and as a group they try to sort it, that is family, well written as always, come on this would make a great TV show, am I right? It keeps hooking me back in with each book, great series.

This is the best vampire series I have ever read, and I have read hundreds of vampire books. All of the characters in the books are fun and interesting. The audios are great with awesome narration. The only thing is not all of the books are on audio yet. This book that is part of the mate series is extra good and you really need to read all of the books including the mate series because if you don’t you will miss crucial information.

Wonderful

Loved getting more of Pam’s story, what a ride and Daniel I can see more coming his way. Now Duncan being a huge alpha has such a sweet spot for Pam. This was such a touching love story for Pam and her family. Mix in some drama and a little cliff hanger and it was another wonderful story.

What a great story

Duncan, Daniel and Pam I stretched it out make it last as long as I could. I know there will be more to Daniels story Pams and Duncan as parents and mates is the best love story. These VC Warriors are learning about mating and what it means to be a mate. Theirs still a lot of learning to go the lessons are priceless. That you Teresa Gableman.
