5 stars. Uea has disliked King’s flirtatious behaviour since they first met years ago, but with a mutual friend and now as coworkers, they have no choice but to see each other almost daily. After a fateful night, Uea opens up to the possibility of them becoming friends with benefits, if only because he has given up on love himself. But spending time together does things to people, and soon it becomes a challenge to see who falls first.

I picked this up because I’d heard great things about it and could not stand the wait with the ongoing BL, but it was honestly so good! It was surprisingly fast-paced and I literally binged almost all of it in 7 hours straight… that’s how serious it was.

What I loved the most was the strong emphasis on consent, love, and the LGBT community, all of which are very important to Uea. Though it may seem like a generic workplace enemies to lovers, I promise you there is a lot more to this than meets the eye when you notice how seriously they care for each other beneath the jibes and laughter.

While I wished some scenes were longer, I feel it’s made up for in the series which fleshes things out more in that aspect. That said, the novel provides much more insight into the characters' thoughts and backgrounds because it’s literally in their heads, so it's perfect supplementary knowledge to get to know them better.

There were also no major conflicts because of how rationally and quickly they resolved each one, and every subplot was meaningful from the side romance of their mutual friend Jade (might have to cop The Middleman’s Love fr) to the unfair treatment in the workplace.

I agree with other readers that the translation isn’t perfect, but it’s far from unreadable. At least I did not have the impression anything was lost in translation, just that it did not have any flowery language. All in all this is a great novel with a great series adaptation and I highly recommend both!

So GUESS WHO. literally read for seven (7) hours STRAIGHT and finished this book.... Yes. It's me. Also while the ebook is 695 pages (yes I know, I don't know how I did it either) I recalculated based on time taken and font size that this would be a normal 500+ page book, which is still crazy.

As usual I'll sort out my thoughts and shit soon but my God this was an experience.

well.. well.. well(come). i'm. in. love.

i'd like to preface this with a huge shout-out to the yseries by domundi tv. it got me obsessed and curious about the story and characters.

overall, the book is pretty similar to the series but still more complete, and the chronology was clear. the fact that it was narrated by Uea, who is -on the outside - a very expressionless and stoic man was an amazing addition. we got to understand him better. King's pov chapters were absolutely funny and adorable, too ! great addition.

i have to say, hugest bigup to the translators. the work was amazing. i have read my fair share of thai bl novels translated (by fans or professionals), and the level was far below this one.
some sentences could be revisited and adapted to the English speech :
who would have thought the funniest lines of this book were the sex scenes ?
but really, i won't complain much.

Una historia bastante madura, dejando de lado los universitarios cachondos, los colegiales inexpertos en busca de nuevas sensaciones, tenemos a Aeu y King, ambos después de ser "el amigo de un amigo" por una noche de alcohol, se convierten en "amigos con beneficios"

Es imposible que en los asuntos de la cama, no se involucre el corazón y así es como en esta historia ambos avanzan de amigos ↔️ pareja.

Lo más top de este libro 💖 (creo que es la primera vez que leo un tailandés así) los dramas que cada uno tienen respecto a sus familias, no tocan e involucran al otro. Asi que no veremos padres que se opongan a que estén juntos, pero si veremos a personajes que dan asco y sobre todo la importancia del consentimiento en una relación que en un inicio no tiene nada que ver con lo romántico.

Me encantó como se hacía mención a la salud sexual. Que hay que cuidarse y no solo hacer las cosas descuidadamente. Uea es un amigo muy bueno y aunque Jade es muy despistado, también se nota lo muy buen amigo que es con Uea. Se preocupan y cuidan el uno por el otro a su propia manera.

Pd: empecé a shippear a Boom con Gun aunque nunca hayan interactuando en realidad directamente jajajaja es que me siento mal por Boom y es tan lindo ¡Y Gun tampoco es mal tipo! Los dos son muy tiernos a su manera ❤️

El amor es complejo, las relaciones pueden ser un fuego incontrolable pero siempre debemos recordar que las llamas nos quemaran, queramos o no el corazón siempre está en juego, no importan las reglas.

En esta ocasión comenzare advirtiéndoles que es un libro para mayores de edad, la temática y escenas descritas son bastante subidas de tono. Dejado esto en claro me permitiré expresarles lo que sentí y como califico el libro.

No puedo evitar sonreír y sonrojarme cuando pienso en lo que he leído, no es que no haya leído una historia con erotismo, es el hecho de que tiene más profundidad de la que se espera, para ponerlos en contexto les diré que al leer cincuenta sombras de grey llegue a cansarme de la relación por más de una razón, el punto es que no es la primera vez que leo algo así de detallado. En cuanto a la carga emocional es una historia que te deja un sabor dulce en la boca, sientes que es un romance maduro, una historia que atraviesa problemas, dudas, silencios y sobre todo la naturaleza humana. En cuanto a lo que destacaría es una parte especifica donde tratan el acoso laboral, en mi caso es un tema que entiendo perfectamente, la forma en que muestra la incomodidad por situaciones que para muchos son pequeñas me hace darme cuenta que la escritora sabe bien que por muy insignificante que sea un acercamiento si no es algo consentido o requerido, puede llegar a causar graves sensaciones en el afectado.

Ahora que he descrito lo que más me gusto quiero decirles que el libro es muy fácil de leer, en mi caso terminé las setecientas treinta y dos páginas en tres días, su lenguaje sencillo, los párrafos cortos y una historia ágil me dieron el aliciente necesario para devorar la historia. En cuestión de errores gramaticales no sufrí por mi dislexia ni una vez lo cual agradezco enormemente y además pude concentrarme en leerlo entre mis tiempos libres, es de esos libros que me dejan sorprendida, la sensación de adentrarse en los sentimientos complejos de estos personajes me complació.

Ahora lo más fácil de mi reseña es darle una calificación, pese a que rara vez otorgo una nota alta les diré que me ha cautivado, se queda en el top de libros leídos este año, me gustaría leer más de su autora dado que me encantó su manejo de la historia, así que este libro se lleva cinco estrellas.

Estoy profundamente feliz de compartir una nueva reseña con ustedes, no he podido superar un bloqueo lector, por ello mis lecturas descendieron, pero me complace decirles que gracias a este libro he retomado lo que tanto amo, espero saber pronto de ustedes, ciao.

อยากจะร้องว่ามันดีงามมาก แม้จะเป็นซีรี่ย์เดียวกันกับ "พี่เจตคนกลาง" แต่ไปคนละเวย์อย่างแท้ทรู เมื่อตอนพี่เจตมันยังดูเป็นนิยายกลางๆ (...อืม คุมโทนความกลางได้เทพมากจริง อารมณ์เหมือนอ่านนิยายธรรมดาไม่ใช่นิยายวาย) แต่เรื่องนี้สไตล์การเล่ากลับเป็น BL อย่างเต็มตัว

จุดเด่นของไรท์ท่านนี้คือการวางบุคลิก ลักษณะนิสัยใจคอ และพื้นเพของตัวละครออกมาได้ชัดเจนมากๆ แค่เปลี่ยนคนเล่าเรื่องสำนวนการเล่าและบรรยากาศเรื่องก็เปลี่ยนตามในทันที เราสัมผัสได้เลยว่าตัวละครตัวนี้มองโลกยังไง โฟกัสกับอะไรในการตำเนินชีวิต เคยเติบโตมาแบบไหน ชอบ ไม่ชอบอะไร และอะไรคือสิ่งที่สำคัญในชีวิตเขา

อย่างเจตเป็นคนชอบมองโลกในแง่ดี อะไรที่มีแนวโน้มว่าจะทำให้มีดราม่านางจะปัดออกจากหัวในทันที (นิสัยสว่นนี้แหละเลยทำให้เดาอะไรไม่ค่อยถูก) เป็นคนตลก อีกทั้งยังชอบสนใจเรื่องชาวบ้าน สตอรี่ที่นางเล่าก็เลยมีตั้งแต่เพื่อนร่วมงานกับจนถึงแขวะการเมือง 555+

ส่วนน้องไม้จะโฟกัสแต่พี่เจต การเล่าของน้องเรียบง่าย และวนอยู่กับเจตแบบสมกับเป็นคนคลั่งรัก

เอื้อเป็นคนที่เคยเจอเรื่องร้ายๆ มาเยอะ ชีวิตจึงโฟกัสกับการปกป้องตัวเอง พอมีเรื่องให้คิดเยอะก็เลยไม่สนใจสิ่งรอบข้าง หนูเอื้อเลยแทบไม่ได้เล่าถึงคนรอบตัวเลย

ส่วนเฮียคิงนี่ท็อปฟอร์ม พี่แกเล่าทีไรกลายเป็นนิยายอีโรติกทุกที... มั่นหน้ามั่นโหนกอย่างถึงที่สุด รู้แหละว่าเกินมากับความมั่นใจ ตอนที่คิงเป็นคนเล่า เรื่องมันจะดูหนักแน่นทรงพลังอย่างบอกไม่ถูก มันเพราะความมั่นของเฮียแกสินะ?

รวมๆ คือ 4 คนนี้มีวิธีเล่าชีวิตตัวเองในแบบที่ต่างกันอย่างเห็นได้ชัดจริงๆ การปูทางให้ตัวละครมาอยู่ในใจคนอ่านทำได้ดีสุดๆ เอาเป็นว่าเราขออวยข้อดีตรงนี้มากๆ ไรท์แยกบุคลิกตัวละครได้ฉกาจนัก ขอชื่นชมอย่างสุดหัวใจเลยค่ะ


สิ่งที่ชอบในอย่างต่อมาก็คือจังหวะในการเล่าเรื่องยังคงมีความกระชับและน่าติดตาม บอกตรงๆ ว่านิยายวายเกือบทุกเรื่องที่เราเคยอ่านมา ส่วนใหญ่พอถึงตอนพิเศษเราจะอ่านแค่ข้ามๆ แต่ซีรี่ย์นี้กลับกุมหัวใจเราให้อ่านไปจนถึงอักษรตัวสุดท้าย มันเป็นตอนพิเศษที่ตัวละครยังมีการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ๋ เหมือนคนอ่านยังได้เรียนรู้อะไรเพิ่มขึ้นอยู่ตลอดเวลา เราว่าจุดนี้มันทำให้ไม่น่าเบื่อดีค่ะ

สิ่งต่อมาที่อยากชมคือ NC... ฉากเลิฟซีนในเล่มถือว่าเยอะนะ แต่ก็มาแบบไม่ซ้ำเลย นอกจากจะไม่จำเจแล้วทุกฉากยังดูชัดเจน ถึงพริกถึงขิงและรู้จักคำว่าพอดี มันจึงไม่เลี่ยน ไม่ยืด ส่วนสำคัญอีกอย่างที่ทำให้ฉาก NC มีค่าขึ้นคือไรท์ได้ทิ้งประเด็นต่างๆ ไว้ให้ใจตัวละครได้เติบโตในโมเมนต์นั้นๆ คือต่อให้เป็นเรื่องบนเตียงก็ยังมีสตอรี่และโฉมหน้าใหม่ๆ ให้ตัวละครได้เรียนรู้กันและกันอยู่เสมอ เรื่องราวจึงน่าติดตามแม้แต่ในฉากเซอร์วิส

อีกอย่างที่เราชอบมากคือประเด็น "ครอบครัวไม่ใช่เซฟโซนในชีวิตเสมอไป" เราชอบที่ไรท์ทิ้งประเด็นนี้ให้เป็นปลายเปิด ถ้าใครเคยผ่านประสบการณ์แนวนี้มาก็น่าจะเห็นภาพ มันคือสภาพที่ตัดกันไม่ได้แต่หาข้อสรุปไม่เจอ และยังต้องพัวพันกันไปทั้งชีวิต ซึ่งมันทัชใจเรามาก ชึวิตมันก็แบบนี้แหละ

ส่วนข้อติ....ก็ไม่รู้จะติอะไร สิ่งที่ไม่ชอบน่าจะมีแค่คำว่า "โพรเจ็กต์" "โทร."ที่เป็นการเขียนถูกหลักจนเราไม่ชิน 555+ กับการเคาะเว้น "ๆ" ที่ตรงตามหลักเป๊ะๆ ซึ่งบางทีมันทำให้เรางงวรรตตอน ต้องกลับไปอ่านว่าประโยคมันแยกกันตรงไหน ซึ่งเอาจริงๆ ก็ไม่ได้เป็นปัญหาในการอ่านหรอก พูดถึงไปอย่างนั้นแหละ เดี๋ยวจะหาว่าไม่ติเลย 555+

สุดท้ายนี้จะบอกว่า ก่อนอ่านเราได้ตั้งคำถามกับตัวเองไว้ค่ะ ว่าคุณอนลจะด่าเฮียคิงว่าอะไรบ้าง ปรากฏว่าคลังคำศัพท์ในการด่าคิงของหนูเอื้อช่างแพรวพรายยิ่งนัก ไม่ได้สำคัญอะไรหรอก แต่อยากบอกไว้ว่าคำที่ใช้ด่าคิงบ่อยที่สุดคือ "กวนตีน" รองลงมาคือ "กวนกระสาท" รองลงมาอีกคือ "หมั่นไส้" ฯลฯ โถว คิดดูละกันว่าคิงมันต้องน่าถีบขนาดไหน 555+ (หนักคือหลุดด่าว่า "ไอ้เหี้-" อย่างตลก คิงแสบจริงๆแหละ)

I am a now a fan of this author

There are just some books that are written, in a way, whether there are misspelled words, incomplete sentences, or not, that makes the reading easy. It is like, in your mind, you are watching a video, as someone tells you the story. And, as they tell the story, the characters become more real, vivid and alive. The author has captured the characters perfectly. Not afraid to show their short comings, failures and struggles in life, while also giving the reader incite into their behaviors through, their thoughts. Until, past the misunderstandings, we are led to a happy ending. And, of course, there is, for those that like it...sex. But for me, it is the romance that grabs you and does not let go.

Lo leí en abril, pero no me di cuenta de que estaba aquí para reseñar.

Lamento mucho decir que me confundió bastante leer el libro y al mismo tiempo ver la serie. Hay muchas cosas que no tengo claras por lo mismo, sin embargo, estoy totalmente segura de que ambas son excelentes.

Ame demasiado la historia, los personajes, las situaciones, la trama, joder. Es una historia fantástica.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no hacía tanto match con una couple bl, y amo demasiado que haya regresado a este mundo gracias al NetJames.

Hay muchas cosas que decir, pero primero quiero empezar con algunos puntos negativos.

Siento que falto muchos de detalles de situaciones importantes, como lo del padrastro, qué consecuencias pudo haber tenido (como en la serie que sí las hay), etc.

Hubo muchos saltos en el tiempo que se sienten llevados muy a la ligera o para evitar "escribir mucho".

Hay cosas muy diferentes entre la serie y el libro, y aunque se entiende porque en la serie hubo cambios importantes para poder hacer otra serie aparte de Jade, siento que estos cambios en algunas cosas fueron mejor llevados en la serie que en el libro.

No recuerdo mucho más malo xd, pero me quedo con eso para cuando decida volver a leerlo.

Lo bueno es que, te engancha enseguida, la narrativa es ligera y te hace sentir parte de la historia, aunque hubiera deseado más perspectiva de King, leerlos a ambos peleando ha sido de las mejores partes del libro.

Aunque se trata de amigos de beneficios las escenas sexuales se limitan a como cinco capítulos, cosa que ame porque no se centra únicamente en lo sexual y aborda muchas más cosas.

No sé qué más decir. Fue una historia que ame y disfrute demasiado. Llore, reí, me emperre, me hizo sonreír, etc. Es única y sin duda se ha convertido en uno de mis libros favoritos.

Bed Friends es un libro que empecé a leer justo antes de que saliera la series. Siendo sincera, únicamente sabía la premisa, pero no sabía qué esperar realmente, ya que me ha pasado de ver series y que luego, cuando sale la serie, son dos cosas totalmente diferentes. Así que esta vez decidí hacerlo al revés.

Y la verdad es que se ha convertido en uno de mis libros favoritos. No esperaba que Bed Friends tuviera profundidad; esperaba un romance superficial, donde hubiera escenas NC en todos los capítulos... Me esperaba un BigDragon pero en versión oficina. Y, sin embargo, el libro me calló. Me dijo: no, estúpida, soy más que escenas eróticas, y te lo voy a demostrar.

Uea me hizo simpatizar mucho con él. Su historia, su vida, los mierdas de sus exes... Desde el principio supe que King estaba enamorado de él, honestamente se nota muchísimo, pero también tenía miedo de que lastimara a Uea con su reputación. Sin embargo, miedo no significa desconfianza, fue detrás de King con los ojos cerrados.

Algo que me gustó muchísimo del libro es que tocaron temas fuertes con la delicadeza que merece. Hay cositas que no me terminaron de convencer, pero tuve que recordarme a mí misma que en Asia las cosas son muy diferentes del país en el que vivo, así que tuve que adaptar mi mente ligeramente para no arrojar el celular con esas pequeñas cositas.

¿Recomiendo el libro? Sí, un 100% recomendado. Por donde lo veas, este libro no decepciona: crecimiento de personajes, slow burn bien desarrollado, superación, traumas, la manera en que se afrontan los problemas.

Si le dan una oportunidad, no se van a arrepentir.

My first Thai BL novel. Almost didn't buy this book because the title was a little iffy to me and the kindle price was very high ($20.99). So glad I did because I ended up loving this sweet couple and their story. Surprisingly much more emphasis on their relationship than the FWB part (although that is DEFINITELY a part of the novel 🤣 ). I am a sucker for a MC who is a quiet introvert mislabeled as grumpy, cold, and antisocial so I loved Uea immediately. Workplace enemies to lovers with a common friend group. Spoiler below on whether there is a happy ending or not!


There are some TW to consider before deciding if this is the right book/right time for you to. They are not part of the actual story but there are descriptions/mentions of past trauma including sexual abuse, homophobia, abuse, and neglect from parents.

"Este es el amigo de un amigo que no me agradó a primera vista"

King x Uea no son mis favoritos ( sobre todo King ) creo que agrado por tener lo spicy , que no brinda the middlemans love que muestra la ternura de un primer amor. Bed friend si bien es un amor mas maduro, habla de la buenas y muy malas experiencias en una relación, no me termina de agradar por King. Uea tiene un buen desarrollo de personaje pero King... no eran necesarias tantas paginas.

Inicie, permanecí y termine esta historia solo por leer mas de Mai x Jade ( historia paralela)

So if you are not familiar with Yaoi and BL shows/novels this may not be the place to start. First off, it is a moderately translated from Thai novel. It includes some fetishizing and a lot of unhealthy relationships as well as odd phrases and awkward adult relationships. That being said it is a pretty solid Thai translation (even if it gets garbled sometimes it is readable) this is probably going to be rated higher for folks who have watched the Thai show by the same name. It has a lot more graphic sex than in the Tv show (for obvious reasons) and explains some of the gaps in the show. I like the shows take on the drama (and the solutions to some of the problematic characters in the novel) better than in the book, but the book is more in line with what I would expect from a pretty traditional Thai business. This gets 4 stars for a romance, but probably closer to three stars for story.
Definitely check out the Thai show if you get a chance. The two actors playing U and K are great. I believe Middle Man’s love takes place before this one but since the actor had to be replaced Bed Friend came out before.

Since I've already seen several episodes of the movie, I can picture the actors each time I read the book. Both male leads are such good actors and the chemistry is so explosive, that the images coupled with the book itself is enthralling.

Sweet Rimance BL

This has to be one of the sweetest live stories I e read in a long time. I just couldn’t put the book down. I enjoyed the TV Series so much that I had to read the novel and I’m glad that I did so. Beautiful read.

My 4 stars rating is for the plot not the translation!! I started the show and I was so captivated by the story that I decided to spoil myself and read the book, I wasn’t disappointed.
