Meet the Men of Savage Security: They protect your body. You must protect your heart. To keep Elle alive Beau only needs her to do one thing. Do what he says, when he says it. But turning over control of her life to someone else is hard for her but she doesn’t have any choice when a crazed stalker threatens her life.
Jailaa West grew up on the southside of Chicago. She fell hard for romance books in junior high school when she got her first book boyfriend. Aww, she remembers it like it was yesterday. That first kiss. When he swore his undying love. When they married in the epilogue. When it ended. Say what now? She quickly found another book boyfriend and then another and yet another. She’s been book-in-love quite a few times now and she loves it as much as the first time. Books have always given her a happy place; a heart full of hope, love, and a light when the world seemed dark. She hopes to do the same for her readers.
3.5 = Here we meet Beau and Elle. Elle has basically made a come up of a sex tape (Kim K-ish) and Beau is hired to find the psycho who’s stalking her.
The story and character development was much improved in this second installment of the Savage Security series. I, however, could not get down with Beau’s character. He was too brash and cringey at times considering the situation, but again that’s just my personal opinion. Another enjoyable, quick read recommended by UniqueWords, LLC.
Even more yum by author Jailaa West. She continues to deliver these hot, steamy books that I am thoroughly enjoying. They contain very strong male and female characters. I enjoy watching the men fall for these women.
A lot of this book didn't make sense to me. The way Elle handled her trauma was weird. She made it a point to say that she was traumatized and hadn't been alone with a man since the incident, but was suddenly perfectly fine with Beau, despite him being an absolute stranger. She seemed to jump into bed with him pretty quick too with very minimal hesitation.
The descriptions of certain things made me cringe and I felt like Elle was a fourteen year old instead of in her late twenties. Her character was all over the place and didn't really have anything that actually defined her as a person.
Finding out who was behind everything was a bit of a grab, to be honest. It didn't really make a whole lot of sense and was disappointing. It didn't really round out the story for me. It really came out of left field and seemed completely random; the person behind everything really didn't seem to fit the buildup and his reasoning was pretty flimsy, all things considered.
If you’re looking for a quick steamy easy read about a domineering alpha protector and the fierce heroine he’s sworn to protect then definitely give this one a try! Jailaa West did not disappoint with Obey, the first book in her Savage Security series.
After a sex rape scandal at the young age of 18, Ella’s life was turned upside down. Now years later someone’s back with a vengeance and vowing to make her pay. Tired of always running she hires the Savage Security team and they decide to bring in another friend to help. Beau gave Ella one job, and one job only. Obey. Can Ella listen? And better yet, can Beau protect her from the evil always lurking in her shadows? Read on to find out!
Overall if you’re looking for a sweet steamy hot romance to make you swoon and get your heart pumping then look no further.
Wow! This is the second book in the series featuring the Savage Security Agency and the heat was savage. The book dovetails with Submit and we get to meet the client. This book is all Beau, all day long. One reviewer complained that there was a lack of character development in Submit. By contrast, Obey is a longer book and contains an extensive backstory on Ella and we learn about Beau’s career. Ella is being stalker by a skilled cyber bully and we learn how this came about. Beau and Ella become an united front quickly. Ms. West gives us plenty of heat, some crazy insta love and a HEA. NOW AIDEN, PLEASE.
Jailaa West never disappoints. She brought the heat, the steam, the drama and that BDE with this book. I've read this series a while ago. But I forgot to leave a review. Shame on me. 🤦🏾♀️ Aiden Savage of Savage Security requested Beau's service to predict Elle from an unknown stalker. Their first meeting was tense at first. Elle was not used to Beau's authoritative do as I say when I say it type of personality. But when they finally break the ice so to speak, the heated chemistry between Beau and Elle kicks this story up into high gear. And let me tell you it's an amazing ride! I thoroughly enjoyed the Beau and Elle's story. And the little Easter egg Jailaa West dropped with Aiden and who he has his sights set on. Oh my I know book is gonna be a scorcher. If you haven't read this book, then I highly recommend it. Its fast paced, steamy, sexy, hot and them some. Totally worth reading.
Elle and Beau meet when he arrive at her home to be her bodyguard. She is being threatened by a scary, mad relentless stalker. Beau comes with his preconceived notions about her. Elle is ready to dismiss him because he does not seem to believe her or be on her side. A rendition of a daddy finding a strong woman. A strong woman needing respite from people in her life who are damaging her soul but as she is the breadwinner it is hard. Nicely nuanced and surprising sexual times.
So this book was short, had me kind of confused. Beau and Elle ummm yeah glad they got their happily ever after. To me their live had no building two sexy together and then BAM they are in love. To find out who did it made no sense it just seemed like a add in and a guess of who can be blamed.
I Just Finished Obey by Jailaa West boy was Ion a ride I did not what was going to happen to Elle but Beau did the dam thang and I mean all protecting to teaching her in the bedroom. I can not wait for book 3 Control
This book was just as good as the first one. I loved that Elle got her confidence back and the person was caught that was stalking her. This book was recommended by Unique Words LLC.
This is the second book 📖 in this series and I loves it. I finished it in one setting. It was that good. I'm working but mostly reading 📚 Smh I can't wait to read number 3 and more
Action. Suspense. Tension. Hot and steamy chemistry. Short and sweet and very cute. Real people with real life problems falling in expected forever soulmate kind of love.
The story had potential, but it seemed rushed to me. I understand it was meant to be a short journey. It just seemed to skip through a bit too fast. The writing was solid though. I’ll try this author again!
The sex scenes were nondescript and kind of weird. Almost like in a YA novel where they say words but it’s never actual people would use to describe anything remotely sexual! Story was awesome but the spice is half a pepper. 🌶️
This book recommendation comes from Unique Words LLC. I did like this book more then the first but I still see some of my concerns in this one. Overall I rate this a 4\5.
Loved this story! Elle's past being so much more complex than it appears at 1st, Beau being the epitome of a hot alpha... phew chile, so much heat & swoons! Finished in 1 sitting & ready for the next 1!!
