Wrath Trilogy #1

Prewrath and Rapture

Rate this book
*BOOK 4 IN THE CARDINAL SERIES*
This story follows on from the events of the Pride trilogy.

Four years ago, Harry’s first act of Humility sent her hurtling to the deepest recesses of the dream world. When Death gives her the chance to save her family, her second act will prove infinitely worse.

When Persephone arrives at the Cardinal, it’s time for Harry to keep her end of the deal. But it isn’t Pride, or even Humility, that Persephone wants; it’s Wrath.

Emilia must join ranks with four forces of evil that long predate the Seven Deadly Sins; Death, Pestilence, War, and Famine. Emilia’s ruthless volcano has lain dormant for centuries, but a hidden agenda and a betrayal could tip her over the edge, causing an eruption felt throughout the very fabric of time and space.

Content warning; 18+, sexually explicit lesbian erotica, mature audiences only. One scene features consensual role-play between two women using Daddy/Baby Girl names, and one scene involves consensual and safe erotic asphyxiation.

This is a great start to a new series by the author. I devoured the Pride Trilogy! I will do the same to this series. As Emilia worked her way through the 4 Horsewoman, Astar is my absolute favorite. When it finally happens, you don’t want it to stop. The chemistry is amazing between those two. The way the author brings you back in time and makes you not want to leave. PLEASE give us more of Astar/Emilia!!!

Oh my God!!
I've never been a friend of War and now I'm in love with her!
Emilia has always been my favorite and will always be my favorite in this wonderful story and it’s breathtaking characters, but she and Astar / War are exceptionally hot together and they have the sexiest scene in the Deadly Sins' history so far...in my opinion:)
This new Trilogy starts with hot new characters and the whole scenery is beautifully written again.
You can lose yourself in the new realm just like you lose yourself in the world of the Cardinal.
So nicely written!
It's full of action in every way, hot or hard.
But also the gentle moments are just as beautiful as the hot ones.
I'm speechless again and I almost wish that Emilia finds her way to Astar again in the future :)) The two have an extremely good chemistry and it would be a shame if they don’t find a way to each other again! (swoon).

There's no denying why people read erotica, but that doesn't mean erotica shouldn't have a good plot. TJ Dallas has taken this one step further by working with ancient characters and concepts to create something new, fresh, and ridiculously steamy.

The Pride Trilogy sets the tone. Prewratch proves TJ has no shortage of creativity. I can't wait to see what the series will bring us.

Oh Emilia! You are one of my favorites in the Pride Trilogy, and I am so happy this series is following her! First, while this is considered book 1, it takes place after the Pride Trilogy and I HIGHLY recommend reading those books first before tackling this one. While Dallas does a good job of recapping the events, the characters and emotional connections are not there and some of the characters motivations are harder to understand without that backstory. Also, super good read and will set the bar on what to expect from this erotica series.

I love Emilia! She is one of my favorite characters in Pride and I couldn't wait for this series because of her. What's even better is that this book follows Emilia more closely than the first book of the Pride Trilogy followed Harry. This story also continued the expansion of the mythology and world building with the introduction of the four horsewomen and archangels and their realm, Caledonia.

The one thing that kept this from a solid 5, and almost dropped it to a 4, is Madison. I am 100% team Emilia and Madison, which is way I was frustrated and disappointed in the almost nonexistent presence of Madison. Their relationship was barely established in the Pride Trilogy and then given even less time in this book, despite it kind of being an important factor. Emilia had sex scenes with 7 different women throughout this book and not one of them was with Madison, her lover. And her last day in the realm of the living was spent with Harry not Madison. Anyone who read the Pride Trilogy knows that Harry and Althea would have spent everyday of that week together, reconfirming their relationship to each other. But not Emilia and Madison. If I hadn't read the Pride Trilogy I wouldn't have believed that Emilia's love for Madison was strong enough to haunt her in Caledonia because the relationship was given no time to be believable. I hope that the next two books have more Madison, especially this new and improved Madison that the other characters talk about, and that the lack of them together isn't foreshadowing the longevity of their relationship. Especially after the connection that Emilia and Astar had.

Despite this one thing, this book had so much going for it and I cannot wait for the next one. I am curious how the four horsewomen will come back (because they HAVE to comeback) and how Emilia and the other sins will deal with the fallout from this book. I highly recommend reading this if you have read and enjoyed the Pride Trilogy!

I confirm TJ Dallas as my new favourite author. This is an outstanding, enthralling, very enticing, and epic story from beginning to end.

Harry is still struggling to get the fact that she is pride and humility at the same time, but what makes it harder is when her second act of humility while in a comma and submerged deep in the dream world; is coming back to keep her end of the deal. What she never expected, is that wasn’t her the one needed to fight this battle, but Emilia. Emilia’s wrath has been dormant for centuries, but this new adventure as she joins the Four Horsewomen of the apocalypse, and is being tested with betrayal, will provoke the volcano to erupt.

The story can be read as a standalone but is recommended to read the Pride Trilogy first. This book takes where Pride's Humility ends, and develops a very interesting plot, I love that starts with the POV of Harry and what happened while she was in a comma. This is undoubtedly a strong opening for an amazing adventure. I also love the different POV’s, is great being able to know the thoughts from different perspectives.

One thing I've enjoyed so much of Dallas style is, that she has the ability to wrap the reader in the world of the seven sins, in a way that makes you live the story as being there, and in consequence, you have no option but to love the characters. As a reader, you become a part of the experience. And this time as we met new characters, the four horsewomen of the apocalypse and their world, she once again immerses in details and made us live vividly the action, along with them. Caledonia won’t be the same after wrath’s visit.

This story is deep and very well developed, and of course, is erotica, and Dallas knows how to write scorching hot sexy scenes; but there's so much more as well. The World and character development is something to look forward to, and of course, the many steamy and varied sexy scenes. Emilia has been my favourite from the beginning; she is so profound, sexy and holds something special. So, this has been a treat, also, I thought wrath and war would be a great match. I was right; the pairing Emilia/Astar is the hottest there is. I wanted to see more of them together, hopefully in the next book of the trilogy.

As I already mentioned, TJ Dallas is my new favourite author. She got me already enthralled with the Pride Trilogy, and she has absolutely outdone herself with this first book of the wrath trilogy. Is an intense and spectacular epic story, I'm gladly amazed.

I want to highly recommend the Pride Trilogy and this first book of the Wrath Trilogy. They’re magnificent.

Firstly, read the Cardinal Series if you haven’t already. The Wrath Trilogy Series will have a lot of holes in it if you’re not familiar with Amelia, Harry, and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins. Plus, it’s an amazing series that no one should miss.

I did, however, go in blind to this series regarding what it was going to be about. I didn’t even read the blurb as I had enjoyed the Cardinal series so much, I knew I would gladly read anything by T.J Dallas. If anyone asked me to describe this book in one word, I would have to say HOT! Was there this much sex in her previous series? I may have to do a re-read!

Prewrath and Rapture follows on after Harry sold her soul to death. And now, death has arrived for her payment. She demands Amelia (Wrath) join her in her realm, who steps forward willingly, prepared to do what is asked, and then return to her family. Amelia must fight alongside Death, Pestilence, War and Famine while trying to remember that she has a reason to return to her loved ones in the Cardinal. Relationships are formed with all four women, but the build-up between Amelia and Astar was intense. Just knowing that eventually, something would have to happen between these two butches drove me slightly insane.

T.J. Dallas does a fabulous job at world-building and character development. Yes, her stories are erotic, but the storyline also remains such a large part of the overall enjoyment of the book. If you’re after an action-packed, super steamy read, then check this one out.

Amazing

The emotions are absolutely my favourite part about this. The rage, the love, the pain, the hunger, the cravings, the wanting, the desperation and most importantly, the need to protect. Just amazing. And the family theme is wonderful.

I loved Prewrath and Rapture. What a great start to the new series by TJ Dallas. TJ Dallas writes the 7 Deadly Sins like no other. Dallas has done it again in Prewrath and Rapture. What an amazing book!! I do recommend you get to know the wonderful world of the Seven Deadly Sins as TJ Dallas has written them by reading the trilogy. Once done, carry on to Prewrath and Rapture. When reading Prewrath and Rapture, the storytelling in this book is amazing. This story has many layers and the character development is wonderful. This story introduces wonderful new characters, Death, War, Pestilence and Famine. Not to worry, she doesn’t forget about the seven, the focus is mainly on Emilia – Wrath. There are many scenes that are crazy hot and sexy. I think TJ Dallas may be the queen of orgasms in writing. The storyline has well written twists that will keep you engaged and wanting more. You won’t be disappointed in reading this book. Get it, enjoy it and look forward to the next one in the series!

Wrath's Caledonia Battle
Oh how I've missed those Sinful Women and what a welcome back! This story continues to show the sheer brilliance of TJ Dallas as Wrath becomes the focus of this next chapter to save the World as they know it. There are exciting twists and turns as the saga introduces the Four Horsewomen and the alternative realm of Caledonia. I became totally engrossed and couldn't get enough of this book. In order to understand the backstory I highly encourage reading The Pride Trilogy first. Fantastic storyline and love these new characters as much as the originals. Lots of erotic moments and HOT SEX! 5 STARS

Trading in her punching bag for a broadsword, Wrath finds herself fulfilling a deal she never made.

Harry (Pride & Humility) made a deal with Death, and Death has come to collect—Emilia. While Harry acts as surrogate to Maddison (Envy) and Emilia’s (Wrath’s) baby, Emilia must travel with the Four Horsewomen (of the Apocalypse) to their realm to fulfill Harry’s deal and get Harry’s soul returned.

Oh and by the way, Emilia can’t remember her realm, her life, her love, or her baby while in Caledonia. Caledonia takes some getting used to. On a different timeline than The Cardinal, Caledonia is medieval with battles fought by sword and travel done on horseback. Emilia has a lot of adjustment and training to get in shape to battle against the impending apocalypse. Emilia also explores the lustful delights of the horsewomen though she can’t quite figure out if War is friend or foe. There is cataclysmic energy between them, but it takes a long time to figure out why and earth shattering when they do.

When Emilia has trained throughly and nearly lost all remnants and recollections of her life at the Cardinal, Death comes knocking—it’s time to battle the archangels—or is it?

This book is full of highs and lows. I never thought seeing Harry say ‘pet’ would bring me tears of relief, but it sure did. From explosive chemistry to Wrath’s volcanic eruption to the gentleness of new life, this story has it all.

The sex is frequent, intense, and explicit. Though some descriptions get a little repetitive, the author does an excellent job allowing the character’s personalities and dynamics show even in passion.

First, if you haven’t read the Pride trilogy, I highly recommend it to get the full impact and understanding of the Sins’ journey here. It may also help with a few well written clues you may otherwise miss until the end. While this story centers on Emilia’s (Wrath) unexpected journey, the depth that TJ Dallas breathes into each Horsewoman along with Emilia is fabulous. As my title indicates, it’s not only the power and sexiness that fills the pages, but the vulnerabilities of each as well. While representing the “evil” of the world, the humanity of these women is not overlooked or ignored. That is part of what makes this story truly magical for me. Dallas continues to do a masterful job across several character POVs which helps pull you in so you are invested in these women. If you’re looking forward to the erotica, you won’t be disappointed from the early pages to the climactic coupling of two of the most dangerous forces of Earth (in any realm). Emilia is one of my favorites and from the title of book 2, it looks like we haven’t seen the last of War. The first book in the second trilogy from Dallas erupts with near perfection.

Another phenomenal story of epic adventures by amazing women. This is an action packed erotic romance story. All of the characters are wonderful and Wrath is a particular favorite of mine. Emilia is always ready to come to the aid of her friends who are her family. There were so many emotions running through me as I read this book. T.J. Dallas has an amazing imagination to be able to keep these stories and characters so fresh and exciting. I look forward to seeing where she takes us next.

I was the editor for this erotica fantasy adventure series that relates a very different version of stopping Armageddon.

The Sin Wrath (Emilia) leaves the Cardinal (see Dallas's Pride trilogy) goes to the realm of Caledonia with the Four Horsewomen who swear the Apocalypse is at hand. There are few things more satisfying than pitting wits with an Archangel and getting hot n heavy with War (Astar) and the other Horsewomen in between.

Read this without previous knowledge of the series--and without knowing this was an erotic fantasy genre. It had its moments, but it's about 70% sex and 30% story. The story that's there is interesting as is the world-building, but after awhile the sex became pretty meaningless and boring. So, I stumbled into this series by accident and I'll be stumbling my way back out now.

A steamy and wonderful read
by Anonymous

Continues the mythology presented in her earlier books. (Pride trilogy) this continues with the tale focusing upon the seven managers of the Cardinal, who are also the physical representations of the seven deadly sins.

Each sin is well explained and defined, either in their actions, mannerisms, or even their time in bed.

The synopsis is while the Sins run a high class bar, another mythology known as the four horsewomen of the apocalypse call in a favour with Harry, resulting in one of their own leaving this plane to continue with the horsewoman to make amends for said deal.

Now the sparky bits, I do love how each sex scene seems to have a different feeling, be it rough and exhilarating, slow and passionate, or indulging in a dominant and submissive relationship. Each scene feels like it conveys a different mood, which is the hallmark of a wonderful writer. TJ does focus upon both the physical and the emotional connection of each encounter, which illustrates a much more wonderful scene.

My only critique and it’s minor, is without prior knowledge of the series new readers may find this book difficult to keep up with. The writer does give out snippets of the past novellas to help flesh the world out, but without this knowledge I feel the reader may have a little bit of trouble with the gravitas of the situation. Thankfully once the story continues with the horsewomen, the need to have past knowledge of the books does level off.

All in all, a wonderful read!!

Absolutely loved this new and continuing story of the seven daily sins. This series focuses on Emilia, but everyone’s faves show up too. Apparently in an unseen scene Harry sold her soul to Death, and Death comes to collect, but turns out Death really wanted Wrath, who happened to volunteer herself, and the new adventure begins. Just like previous trilogy, Bartenders Pride, we meet new characters that are fantastical, the Four Horsemen, well women. We have, Death, War, Famine and Pestilence- and they are all brilliant in their own ways. TJ Dallas has a wonderful imagination and I love the worlds she has created! And, hoo boy, the sex is hot and steamy! I got to read this book as n ARC and my only gripe is it wasn’t longer :). I laughed, cried and got horny reading this book, and it’s stayed with me for a few days now. Can not wait for the next installment! NOTE: I highly suggest reading the Bartenders Pride trilogy before this book. Could it be read as a stand alone, yes, but many of the characters just won’t make as much sense AND reading the previous series gets you more involved in the books works and characters lives.

First, be sure to read the prequel series, The Pride Trilogy, which begins with the book titled The Bartender’s Pride.
I truly consider The Bartender’s Pride to be the best piece of erotic literature I’ve ever read. It was simply perfect in my eyes. The Pride Trilogy is where we meet the embodiments of The Seven Deadly Sins. Emilia (Wrath) is one of them and I fell in love with her strength and intensity. This book, “Prewrath and Rapture”, is focused almost entirely on Emilia and also introduces The Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse. Emilia is forced to leave everyone she loves & must join The Four to battle a seemingly insurmountable enemy to save all of existence. This author also knows how to write erotica! The sex is so hot & untamed. I was chomping at the bit wondering if Emilia (Wrath) & Astar (War) would come together because I knew their coupling would be no less than explosive. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series. I am completely invested in these characters and can’t wait to see where their journeys lead them next.

I was blown away by the Pride Trilogy (discovering the Seven Deadly Sins) which sets the stage for the author's newest assault on my senses - Book one of the Wrath Trilogy. I confess my favorite couple from the previous series is Harry and Althea but the expanding plot with Emilia/Wrath has crept into my reading pleasure. The introduction of the Four Horsewomen: War/Ashtar, Famine/Sidero, Pestilence/Zillah and Death/Persephone (who we met previously) makes for even more excitement. The focus on War/Ashtar and the explosive, hot interaction with Emilia/Wrath is interwoven with a clever, erotic storyline with descriptions that hit all the right spots. Please bring on Book two quickly Ms. Dallas. Highly recommend with 5 sultry stars.

Astonishing

It's all too easy to dismiss TJs writing as erotica given the amount of sex occurring right the way throughout but that totally misses the mastery of the story.

TJs Cardinal crew return and remind us why we love them all before major events transpire to introduce a whole new cast. How TJ manages to embue these new characters with as much subtlety and depth as the Sins I can't understand. She manages it though.

Emilia takes on the fight of her, and everyone's life, with a smorgasbord of sexual appetites along the way. The story builds and, just as with Pride, leaves the reader emotionally drained and spent as the story of Wrath, Sin and Apocalypse becomes truly the story of love.

You guys.....
I cannot get enough of these characters! This book introduced new characters & I thought I would miss the Cardinal as the main setting but the way she goes into detail and keeps The Cardinal in the background always is just amazing. I’ve read a lot of books and the transitions are flawless, the scenes are fire & it’s never boring. 10/10 Recommended anything from this author!

The book in general:
Just when you think you know what’s going to happen, it takes a totally different turn. The sex scenes leave you wanting more every time. My perception on Wrath completely changed & I literally felt the evolution of her as a character. Wonderful read!

I fell in love with the sins when I was reading the pride trilogy. I couldn’t wait for this one because I love Emilia and just the idea of the four horsewomen sounded awesome. Now that I’ve met Zillah, Seph, Sid and Astar? Add them to the list of people I love. I have this massive soft spot for Astar. Her feelings for Emilia? I just want to hug her for a long long time because I love War with Wrath. I also very very much love Wrath with Envy and ugh. What’s not to love about this book? The growing tension between Astar and Emilia was glorious... can’t wait for the next book. Especially want to know what happened after Lilith was the sneaky bitch she is, haha.

I absolutely loved this story. I love Emelia and reading about her in Caledonia and her interactions with The Four Horsewomen is awesome. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Astar. I’m hoping for more interactions between her and Emelia. The scenes are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and are plentiful. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend this book and am totally looking forward to more from the rest of the series.

I give this a five star rating. As with The Pride Trilogy, TJ has developed characters you eventually love. The important part is there is a plot to go with all the incredible sex. The seven deadly sins are in here, with Wrath (Emilia) being the main focus, and add The Four Horsewomen and you have an incredible story to take you away. I can't wait for the second installment of The Wrath Trilogy! I was given this book ARC in Booksprout, in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this first book in the new series from TJ. It had great new characters, Death, Pestilence, War and Famine and a return of some of the Pride Trilogy characters but mostly concentrating on Wrath/Emilia. Well written as always and highly enjoyable, I am looking forward to book 2 now to see what havoc these 4 newbies will wreak.

Two realms Collide

This author knows how to spin a tale. Following on from the Pride trilogy the story twists and turns without revealing the true purpose of the entrance of the Fourhorsewomen. The reason for Emilia’s sorjourn into another realm is not revealed until the bitter end. If you want to find out more you better read the book. Along with the story there is plenty of erotic sexual encounters to wet your appetite.
