I've chased Cassandra for millennia, though she's denied me and our bonding. I'd have given up long ago, if her resentful love didn't seep through our connection. Now she's finally conceded to be mine, but at what cost? I don't want to own her because of a bet; I want her to accept what she feels for me. What we are to each other. What we have. All I'm asking is for a chance to win her over. If I fail, I'm prepeared to forfeit the bond and my existence.
Sotia cries at sappy movies and wishes she could take in all the stray dogs in the world. She lives in Athens, Greece, with her husband--whom she met through writing--their son, and their two rescue dogs, one of which might be part-pony.
Her genres of choice are romances with a twist and urban fantasy novels, always with vivid erotic elements. Her characters aren't exactly hero-material at first glance; she likes making them fight for their happiness. Still, the romantic in her can’t resist happy endings.
Loved this new addition to the series, you got to see a touch of Apollo and Cassandra's relationship in the last book when all his brothers found him. It was nice to see that through his eyes. Cass blames Apollo for her sight into the future or curse as she calls it. But not everything is always to cut and dry. Apollo thinks he has finally received his chance to make Cass fail for him all over again. With Apollo never fading you get alot of new information at the end of this book. It's setting up for a great next book. Also Cass mentions the bet that her and Apollo that has lead them to where they are. If you haven't read the two book from the Fated Lovers series you can reads those for my of Apollo and Cass and see just how it went down.
Absolutely loved this story book six in Lazu's Olympians Ascending. Apollo and the goddess Cassandra our the H and h. They were first introduced in book five Heat for Hephaestus. Lazu does a great job of giving us more background story for this couple, plus secrets are revealed and Apollo has found his long lost family. Over a hit and I wait patiently for Hades story, I hope its released soon Happy Reading!!
Accord for Apollo is book 6 in the series, and you really should read the rest. It wouldn't be impossible to enjoy it by itself, but you'd miss so much of the nuances if you did it that way. This book is for Apollo and Cassandra, whom we met a few books back.
The book is written in first person perspective from both lead characters' point of view. Fun times: these two didn't fade away when all the others did, so they've been around for thousands of years. Apollo seems like a very charismatic, upbeat guy. What you'd expect from the god of the sun, really. He's also done a good job of staying in touch with the times and not locking himself away like a hermit, so he's fun. He's spent pretty much that entire time chasing Cassandra-yes THE Cassandra of Troy-his bondmate.
Cassandra is an interesting character. She's stubborn to the nth degree, which is why she keeps leading Apollo on a merry chase and never letting herself be with him like they both want. She blames him for something that's not his fault, but is too scared to come to terms with that. This book is mostly about her finally facing her demons and embracing her future. The rest of the gang make an appearance of course, and help them along. I enjoyed yet more family bonding with the group in this book. Hades is next!
If you like some Greek mythology with your romance, along with some heavy steam, a lot of snark, an interesting family dynamic, and a bit of angst this is a read you shouldn't miss.
