This was a unique opportunity to travel through time to visit NYC in the 1920’s. I enjoyed reading about a country girl who is lured by the bright lights and nightlife of New York City.
Once the villain was revealed, I couldn’t put this book down! The villain is dastardly and obsessive, but sexy.
I enjoyed the author’s ability to describe the cigars, cologne, foods, and coffee in a way that made me feel submersed in the surroundings.
I DRANK SO MUCH COFFEE because of this book.
There are heroic women, handsome men, beautiful clothes, historic sights, and so many secrets in this thrilling tale of revenge.
I’m excited to read the next installment in the series!

Enjoyed the authentic flavor of Olivia’s New York in 1920s, and the journey she takes from naive country girl, to seasoned young woman with firm grasp of reality and what counts in life. Also fun to see the loyalty and camaraderie of the international group of friends that become so essential to her.
