As the conclusion of her contract with Oscar looms, Tinasha at last begins to realize her feelings for the young king. Unfortunately, not everyone is pleased to see love finally blossoming in her heart. An old rival of Tinasha’s, the Witch Who Cannot Be Summoned, decides to seek revenge. The resulting clash between these two unstoppable, centuries-old forces heralds the beginning of a new era, but who will be left to greet it when the dust settles?
OS-EFFING-CAR YOU SELFLESS, DEVOTED, STRONG, HEART OF GOLD CHARACTER. I see why people are going crazy about the ending, I didn't see it coming until it's too late, though some words are kinda foreboding but since it's not specific I have no idea how it's gonna turned out. I really like the pace of this book, it's more fast pace and engaging for me, makes me curious what's gonna happened next. Of course I'm gonna read the next book how can I not with that ending.
I’m sobbing to the point I can barely type right now. The ending wrenched my heart out of my chest. Oscar’s selfless love for his witch is something every girl dreams of.
I enjoyed absolutely every descriptive word, every fully realized character, and every aspect of the world building for 4/5th of the book. Then the last story slayed me. It was poignantly written, and it certainly was a bold choice to take, but it changed everything. I’m not as excited to read the next book, but I probably will. Kuji Furumiya is a talented writer. I just wish she hadn’t erased my favorite character.
So I don't think I will continue with this series.
Spoils ahead....
After three books of learning our main character, of seeing their love build and we finally get to see them married for all of 1 chapter. They then send our Oscar back in time, where he undoes his own timeline. In the 4th book, our story will start over again from the beginning. No love, no memories, complete new story with the same characters.
It makes me feel like the author didn't like their own story and scrapped it. We hadn't even completed their story originally. Yea, they got married, but they were going to have a child or children, and they were figuring out how they were going to deal with the powers that their child might end up having.
I truly don't want to start over with characters in a life I've already seen them come together. Also, the 4th book has her chasing him to marry this time, and I feel like she shouldn't be as powerful as she used to be, so she shouldn't be able to help him.

While reading Volume 3, I was very excited. There were many mysteries posed, so many hints to things that would happen down the road, and it was just a very enjoyable book.
So you may be wondering why the 1 Star rating.
It was very enjoyable until the last 60 pages of the book...... Spoilers from here on
4.5 stars really, this is the best installment by far, and I love how everything that was building up in the last two volumes came to a head. I’m also very intrigued by the set up into the next set of books. There are some throwaway lines that don’t come across well, but all in all a really fun series to get invested in.
This was my absolute favorite book of the series. In my opinion it was the best written out of the first three. The ending was heartbreaking and left me feeling empty, even though it was for the greater good. I am so glad I found this series
