Action packed Volume.

This side story gets better and better. With an original writing style, great characters and a great plot. The author delivers a brilliant story with lots of references for any TRPG player. The characters are nicely developed in this volume, where the party of adventurers grows closer and level up through hard work and teamwork. Will be looking forward to the next volume.

First part is boring, second part starts out equally boring, but then grows into some awesome 20/30 final pages… not enough to make it a good book, but saved it from 1 star

Finally done reading this second volume! We almost cut it pretty close with the ninjas and while it wasn't as dramatic as Goblin Slayer's battle with Goblin Champion, our adventures almost ended at that chamber on the second floor. But as with Goblin Slayer, the second round managed to redeem ourselves and we're able to proceed onwards to the third floor and then the fourth!

But as we learned in Goblin Slayer volume 8, the path beyond the fourth flow wasn't quite as straightforward as we thought, and we get to find out how the Sword Maiden's party managed to discover the hidden chamber. We're getting closer to the moment that had initially been teased from the first volume, but I guess it'll be a while before we're getting there. Have to say that one does get anxious as to what fate would befall the six adventurers who would later be able to defeat the Demon Lord. I mean sure, we do know that they'll eventually succeed in their quest, but so far in the main series, we only really know about what would become of Female Bishop, Myrmidon Monk and a certain Knight of Diamond party. And honestly, by now one can't deny that we're getting really attached to the captain, his cousin, the half-elf scout and Female Warrior.

Like Goblin Slayer's party, our party here also managed to encounter and fight a dragon. Though I wished we get to see more of the battle rather than near the end. We got to find out what really happened to Female Bishop's original party... but I guess, some things just happened I guess. It's amazing how within two volumes so far, our party had grown quite strong ever since that first delve into the dungeon. It makes you want to look forward to more adventures in the dungeon until that moment when we'll defeat the Demon Lord.
