5 ”Bidding on my best friend’s little sister” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I looked up and his stare burned into me.
He was enjoying this. The situation. My body.
Me.
I should have been afraid—panicked—but instead, his gaze filled me with a strange sense of confidence.
I have read so many brother’s best friend trope that I have honestly lost count and I’m always looking for more. So when I read the blurb of this one, it no brainer. I liked that it was catchy and it turned out to be one of the best so far. Maybe it was because of the unique way the author played this or the twist and turns I did not see coming. I loved the author’s writing style and can’t believe this is the first time I have heard of her. It was steamy, sweet, entertaining and action packed.
How? How was she a virgin? How could someone so fucking gorgeous, classy, and sexy be a virgin? Why had no one fucked her yet? It didn’t make any sense. It was a crime that no one had made her come. I was determined to fix that.
She’d said she couldn’t be bought.
Her innocence had me wanting to take and protect her in equal measure. Sooner or later, she would be mine.
All mine.
Joe is a billionaire with a messy past and has come a long way in building his reputation as a ruthless businessman in the construction business especially after his father’s scandal. It’s been years since he last saw his late best friend’s sister, so when he finds her at an auction where she is selling her virginity, he wonders what happened to her to make her take this decision. Upon seeing her, the attraction he feels towards her, there’s no way he’s letting someone else have her even if she doesn’t recognise him. He also feels obligated since she’s the sister of one his close friend.
The doorknob turned and in walked my highest bidder.
He was taller than I realized, and his broad shoulders and muscular physique were intimidating. There was a dark aura about him that made my body tense and the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
Sophia was a breath of fresh air. I liked her genuineness, her funny personality. She never thought a time will come where she will be standing in an auction but desperate times calls for desperate measures. At least the recommendation came from her best friend and both the parties involved were safe. The moment she sees Joe, she can feel his intensity and dominance and when he makes her come so many times without asking for a return favour, it leaves her wanting more.
Soon she finds herself applying for a job at his company thinking there’s no way she’ll see him again, at the same time wishing she does. I think everybody knows that feeling. The job turns out to be his assistant for the near future. Joe hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her either which then leads to steamy times in the office. Joe was a super hotty with a bad boy edge.
I rolled my eyes affectionately. “You know when I said to tell me, I was hoping for more dirty thoughts.”
“Why didn’t you just say so?”
“It was implied.”
“Huh. You know, this is probably why I’m still a virgin.”
“You’re incorrigible, you know that?”
“Oh, very much so. I even put it on my resume. Surprised you didn’t see it. It was right under special skills. That and ‘prone to ruining the moment.’”
I loved that they formed a genuine connection. The banter was sweet and funny. All the teasing and touching kept it sensual. When Sophia finds out about the accident that killed her stepbrother and the fact joe blames himself for that, she didn’t dwell too much on it and forgave him, it showed her compassion. They were able to share everything between each other.
Ever since he’d come into my life, I knew I was forever changed. I hadn’t realized just how much. He saw me as no one ever had before. I never wanted to be without him again.
I loved the punches the author threw, they took me by surprise. I liked the little suspense and the action. I also loved the back story of joe and how he still had that bad boy quality about him. The fact that he drove a bike..yum, I’m a sucker for those guys. All of this made for a fantastic read. The intimate scenes were super hot as well and left me all hot and bothered.
If all this is your thing, then definitely pick this one up. You’ll this author’s work. After the surprise she gave at the end, I’m left super eager for her next book. 💕

Joe was a member in a motorcycle gang who later decided he wanted out as to take over his father’s company - since the last had been arrested for embezzlement and racketeering - and became a billionaire!
In an underground auction he came across Sophia who happened to be the sister of his best friend and partner in the gang.
The plot evolved with drama, secrets and suspense.
I found this story surreal and unconvincing.

This is one of those super quick, super predictable, smutty but cute reads! I loved the fast pace of this book. I also loved how this book ACTUALLY had a plot. It’s was such nice brain candy for me.
Ex- gang member Joe meets with a potential work client at a auction and just so happens to recognize his best friends little sister.
The romance starts fast and although everything is done quickly, you could tell time was passing (days/weeks) The writing was pretty simple but very enjoyable. The relationships between the characters seemed so genuine and I just melted for it!
I can’t wait to read another book by this author.

Joe is trying to tie up a billionaire dollar construction deal for his company. He is taken to a hotel to discuss business. But it is really an auction. Women sold to the highest bidder.
Sophia is down on her luck. She is about to be evited, she has very little money for food and she just lost her job. So her BFF tells her about this auction where she can sale her virginity. Hard to believe Sophia at 25 is still a virgin. But whatever!! this is hard to believe.
Joe recognizes Sophia immediately. She is his dead best friend Ty's sister. No way will he let her be sold this way especially to Benji. He out bids Benji and gets Sophia. He doesn't have sex with her right away but they do some hot and heavy petting.
Sophia applies for a job at Joe's company and is hired . She will fill in for Joes Asst. and work as the Receptionist. Joes Asst. is very pregnant and about to go on maternity leave.
There is lots of generic sex between Joe and Sophia. But Benji is angry and believes Joe has always taken everything he wanted from him. So he is out for revenge. The problem I have with this part of the story is the brutal way Sophia is attacked by Benji's men. I don't like reading about women getting beaten up and kicked. The physical abuse went to far.
Joe and his old motorcycle gang save Sophia and killed Benji and all his men. I really like Joe and Sophia. This author always has a great cast of secondary characters.

This wasn't a typical type of billionaire romance to me. It was definitely a very interesting story and gives lots of little surprised throughout that I wasn't expecting. Glad to see a hero with a common name, like Joe. He and Sophia were a fun couple.

Had potential
This book started off well and I liked both Joe and Sophia but then the author throws a change of the characters which is at odds with the foundation she had written for them like Sophia willing to sell her v-card at the auction because she is desperate for money only to then say after the auction while talking to her friend that her v-card is important and she wants her first time to be special. Then Joe’s character is made out to be a great boss and all-round good guy but then when he’s in the room with Sophia he’s a jerk. Weird that the author did that, it turned me off wanting to read anymore let alone finish the book, so I DNF.

(Joe & Sophia): Sophia is down on her luck. I mean really down. I mean so down that a scene from the beginning of "Pretty Woman" was visible in the story. It's kind of reminiscent of what's going on today with people and their finances, you get sick, can't work, no pay, no rent, no utilities, then she loses her job. Sucks but it happens. She signs up for an auction to earn some extra cash. Joe is working on a big business deal and he's meeting with the man he's making the deal with but he'll only meet with Joe at the auction. He sees Sophia and that she's got something extremely precious to auction off and he wants it. I actually really liked this book. I felt more of the desperation from Sophia but there also wasn't that whole "captain save a ho" mentality coming from Joe either. Even though there's a scene reminiscent of Pretty Woman, there's no swooping in to "save" Sophia. I also enjoyed the connection to J.D.'s MC series and how it's beginning to tie back into other books I've read. Though I've already read the MC books of hers, the light 💡 bulb definitely shined brighter once I finished this book. I'm sure some of her other billionaire books will tie in to them as well. Can't wait. I loved Joe and Sophia together. They compliment each other and their chemistry is🔥🔥🔥.

So let’s put the fact that there was no discernible plot to be had in this book aside for a minute. The main reason I gave this book a such a low rating was entirely because of the audiobook, which is how I “read” this book. The book was a dual POV from both the main character’s man & woman, however the audiobook only hired a man to read the entire thing. Every single chapter he read the woman’s POV in his “women’s voice” was like literal nails on a chalkboard!! It was a book full of cringe! Now, I’ve listened to audiobooks where it was the other way around & it didn’t bother me. Idk, if that’s because the voice actor was better or if it is just less ridiculous that way?

A thrilling book that left you breathless and only got better with their romance. A bit slow at times but not so bad that I got bored.It didn’t become one of my favourite books but it had a great story and it was easy to follow.

First off, I’m not giving any spoilers because this book is so worth purchasing, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone!
Talk about office romance with a twist well this book has that and so much more! There is so much to this book that once you start you won’t put it down! Joe is one smoking hot alpha male with a touch of a tender heart with lots of secrets from his past to really throw you for a loop. Sophia is independent, strong willed, beautiful with lots of sass! When push comes to shove and desperate times called for desperate measures, she takes a friend’s advice and decides to auction herself off for a night with a billionaire. This is where Joe and Sophia’s journey begins and it’s one you don’t want to miss. Jolie brings us a hot a heck office romance that also has mystery, suspense and some danger thrown in the mix. It’s a very well written story line that’s has you feeling like you’re right there in the moment at times. The cast of characters was great the chemistry between Joe and Sophia was smoldering hot! Then you have secondary characters like sweet Ms. Jean and Sophie’s best friend Lance who make the book that much better. I can’t tell you enough how much I loved this book it caught me off guard because it was more than just your usual CEO/billionaire office romance it packs so much more in it! Then the epilogue was the kicker! Jolie really!!! I need T’s story like NOW!!

Audiobook.
This was such a random listen for me but was so worth it.
I have to say I was just shocked at the fact that Sofia was such an innocent, alright not so innocent, but the twist of her brother still being alive and rhe gang he was a part of with Joe was still looking out for her. Her coworker, I thought she was actually the enemy, but actually turned out to be the daughter of the gang leader and she's the one put in to look out for her, blew my mind. This book had alot going on but it was all worth it.
Joe and Sofia were just so steamy together and yet so beautiful. The way he spoilt her and just blurted out 'I love you' like it was an everyday thing they did was just adorable. I love how Joe looked out for her, knowing she was his bestfriend's sister and wanted to make sure she was okay so he bid on her and won. Thr instant chemistry between them was there and it never left. She became so obsessed with because that night of the bidding, they had a very 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 night, she went on his company's website and applied for a job. She got it of course and the rest as they say is history because that same day she got hired, sparks flew again and steamy things happened.
The plot began though at said auction where Joe won against his former friend turned enemy. He was jealous of everything he had accomplished after the leaving the gang. He kidnapped Sofia and that's when ALOT was revealed. Also, we discover that Sofia's half brother/Joe's bestfriend might be alive which was confirmed in the end that he was indeed alive so I can't for that book.
Overall I loved every second of the book, I give it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5. I really wish they had gotten a female narrator instead of having just the male narrator but he did quite an amazing job. I really enjoyed it and the spice was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I love that it wasn't purely smut but had a plot and the plot made sense. It took me a few days to listen to because I was busy but it was just a couple of hours, it was on the shorter side than most books. It was a good book and I really wanna listen to the rest of the books in the series too.

SOLD: HIGHEST BIDDER by @joliedayauthor is my first read by this author. Kinda hard to put this book in one category, but if I have to, I’d say it’s a contemporary romance with dark elements. I’ve seen this cover going around Instagram quite often, so I went for it blind - something I do more often than not 😂The story isn’t unique, I’ve read books with this trope before, but the storyline is intruiging. I love the element of surprise, and passion between the characters, though I’d wish to have more of their relationship, and witness their relation growing. Joe and Sophia’s story is hot, intense, and dark at times. The characters are lovely, the chemistry is instant. We meet both of them the night when Sophia, overwhelmed with her life situation decides to take part in an auction to sell a passionate night with herself. Joe happens to be making business transaction at that auction, and when he recognizes his best friend’s sister on the stage, he knows he can’t let anyone have her. Bidding on her, he starts the train of events that leads them to fall in love with each other, and uncover the past Joe would wish to forget.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall, the story is well written, steamy, and with a good dose of humor. I would welcome the chance to witness their relation growing before they become intimate. It’s a good, easy read, definitely worth reaching for.

This is the story of Joe and Sophia...Sophia is a young woman in NYC trying to make it on her own and is struggling. She recently lost her job and her best friend convinces her to participate in an "auction" where the highest bidder wins her and her virginity. Joe is the typical alpha male, wealthy business man (or is he?) who ends up at the auction and recognizes Sophia from his past. I must admit that I was expecting a steamy romance without a lot of depth that had a steamy romp on very second page What I got was so much more a strong story about a woman who is at the end of the line and about to sell the only thing she has of value I strong alpha hero who is just generally a nice guy and connections between them that where unknown to her The way this story builds has you turning pages as fast as you can Don't judge this book by it's cover it is so much more

Joe: Successful, gorgeous and very sweet doesn't do justice to him. He's beyond the average good looking guy. He has a past but that's just it, it's his past. It seems to be cropping up more often than it should. Joe has it all handled until he sees HER!

When her best friend suggests calling a lady friend of his for a job, Sophia laughs it off. She's got this. Right? Okay, well maybe she's working on getting it all handle. Eventually. Someday. Suspense, romance, laughter and HOT sex set this book on a journey. It might be a bumpy ride but you'll hang on to the end. Well written, well plotted and characters to love set this book apart from others. I found this book to be a perfect read no matter where you are. The twists keep it interesting. I knew immediately I was gonna enjoy this one. The characters personalities shine through. It appears as though Ms. Day sailed through the writing process. Get this one. You won't be sorry.
I did find one issue. I felt things went too smoothly for Sophia and for Joe. The rescue scenes could have been a bit longer.

In this story we get to meet Sophia who has a positive outlook on life even when things are not going her way. Sophia is struggling to pay her rent and then loses her job only to go be auctioned in a wealthy private club to earn money to pay rent until she can find a new job. When it’s discovered she is a virgin the bidding gets crazy and she ends up with much more then she thought. The man who wins is Joe and he is a wealthy man and was best friends with her older brother, Ty who has passed away. Joe can not believe it’s Sophia and he bids to protect her and because he is attracted to her. They spend some time together and are very attracted to one another, Joe does not force Sophia into doing anything she is not ready for. Sophia starts working for Joe and they end up together as a couple. When Joe’s past start to cause him problems from when he was young while in a motorcycle gang he tries to deal with it and once it becomes dangerous he knows he needs help. This book started out slow but it was a slow burn that due you in with the main characters coming together from different sides of the tracks. Sophia has always struggled to make ends meet and when it all falls apart and she looses everything her best friend Lance gives her a number to call that changes her life and now she is auctioned off to the highest bidder and what a hottie he is but can she go through with giving her virginity away to a stranger. Joe Francis was talked into going to an auction with his friend Geoff Foster as a business meeting but never did he think he would participate but one look at the woman on stage he new he had no choice to bid and stop Benji Cunning’s from getting her because she was his best friends sister Sophia. So where does it all lead them with so many twists and turns, gangs, kidnapping, threats coming at them is there a future at all. Get it, read it, love it.

A very enjoyable story.
Sophia and Joe meet in unusual circumstances as he buys her Virginity in an auction,unintenionally at first.Joe was only there for a meeting with a client that went regularly to these stupid auctions.
But when he sees Sophia up on the stage,he knew he had to save her from all the lecherous men in this room,and so kept bidding.
Sophia was going through some tough times she had been let go from her job,she could not pay her rent so was locked out of her apartment.So desperately she found herself selling her Virginity to the highest bidder.
There is also the added complication that they actually knew eachother from the past.
There are so many little things that unite these two together and fate brings them together on so many levels.They are meant to be together.
Joile Day has written another enthralling story that is Sexy and exciting and I couldn't get enough wondering what would happen with these two.

Joe’s just there to close a billion-dollar business deal. He certainly didn’t expect to bid on a virgin, much less his late best friend’s sister. Sophia’s desperate, out of money, out of a job & soon to be out of her apartment. The last thing she ever expected she’d do was auction off her virginity. But the surprises don’t stop there. This is a tale that has a strong, secure alpha male with a good heart and a smart, sassy, independent female with a good sense of humor. There’s just enough drama, lots of smart dialogue, a touch or two of danger, and plenty of hot, steamy passion to keep you involved from start to finish. The characters are well-drawn and entertaining, and the storyline is engaging with a few twists that will certainly hold your interest until the end, but is it really?! I have a feeling there’s more to come, and I can’t wait.

🇸🇪 En riktigt rörig sörja till bok. Börjar som en ”jag är så pank att jag säljer min kropp för sex men såklart blir jag köpt av en Good Guy millionär som blir kär i mej o jag i honom” blir sen en ”chefen vill ha mej o jag vill ha chefen… ofta o mkt. Speciellt på skrivbordet”-bok, sen är det mys-paus och plötsligt är det en ”MC klubb-story med kidnappning, shoot outs o mord” sen lite hångel o lyckligt slut med en sammanfattning av en helt annan bokserie (Outlaw MC’s). Slutet knyter dessutom ihop nga trådar med ytterligare en bokserie. Så lite själaskådande o plötsligt är vi tbx i en småporrig ”Spank me Daddy, I’m a bad girl”-story som såklart ska va söt samtidigt så dom fnissar och friar o allt är såklart äkta kärlek helt enkelt. Ja, öh och så spinner det vidare med hunkiga MC-hunks och fInfotexten som beskriver boken beskriver bara de första kapitlen. Mest absurda boken på länge.

It follows such a similar storyline that it's hilarious. The virgins, wrapped in a damsel in distress storyline, the billionaire CEOs who fall wildly in love instantly. There is angst, and secrets, but who cares because its always a HEA.
This one was way more interesting than its predecessor. There was a mafia gang, an underground prostitution auction, a kidnapping... the plot, while not great, was present.
My issue? The smut is... sad. It's not fade to black by any means, but the flowery language about vaginas and penises and orgasms and assholes and clitoris' is giving "I found this under grandma's mattress". There was chemistry, but to be fair, I like a messy, kinky, sexy time.
An easy read, glad I finished it, won't be going back to it.

Very intense, raw, graphic, with dangerous undertones behind this intriguing romance. Joe was the best friend of Sophia's brother before her brother died mysteriously. Sophia found herself in trouble financially so she made the dubious decision to auction herself off to the highest bidder in order to be flush once again. That is when her troubles really began. She and Joe had a dangerous future in store. This book is a real page-turner. I wanted to read faster but at the same time, I did not want to miss anything. Jolie Day writes mysterious stories that I cannot put down once I start reading. Sold: Highest Bidder is an excellent example of her work.

This story was a roller coaster from start to finish. Joe couldn't believe that he was doing business at the one place that he didn't want to be at. Sophia kept telling herself that she didn't need to sell herself to pay bills and rent. When everything came crashing down Sophia didn't have another choice. Joe couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Sophia step on the stage. She was even more beautiful than he could remember and he knew that he had to have her. When Sophia and Joe went there separate ways I never thought she would apply for a job at his company. Everything came together for Sophia and Joe at the end of the story and I couldn't ask for more.
