Usually it does not take me a month to read a book, but it's a testament to the month I've had it took me this long to read one of my favorite authors. I love these characters, and I love how these books are set up with short chapters and while we follow the main character's story, we drop in on character's we've met in previous stories. It's good to catch up with everyone.
In this story, Carol gets to finally prove herself and the plan to infiltrate the Doomer's Island is set into motion, but not quite like planned. And then when Carol gets there, things don't go as planned because things are not always what they seem.
There are a couple of folks in this book that get to talk to each other after five thousand long years. That was cool.
I liked Carol and how she was never ashamed of her profession. Why should she be? Lokan kind of said a few things that would make me mad, but when you are dealing with misogynist immortals who have been alive for thousands of years you're going to get some of that.
I'm hoping that somewhere Khiann is still alive... not Kian the son, Khiann Annani's mate. On to the next book...

This trilogy is about Lokan, Navuh's son. Carol is still determined to find a way to the island. Lokan is a prisoner and she makes it her goal to help interrogate him to find the islands location. While she is skilled at manipulating men, Lokan may be her match and possibly more.

Lokan and Carol
Books 29 through 31 is their story and I still wonder which side Lokan is on. There is sure to be more conflicts and finding their mates.
Each book is a story in itself and then the others are combining for a bigger story. This is a world into itself and I have enjoyed them. I look forward to see what else happens.

I loved books 29, 30 n 31 the Dark Princes trilogy.
Carol has always been a bundle of energy a strong n sassy woman a force to be reckoned with But even before she set her eyes on "Logan" she knew her life was about to change.
Keep up with the family/clan you won't be disappointed especially if you've read the previous books

I have read the series from Book One (Dark Stranger) through book 46! This is the best paranormal romance series I have ever read. Even better than the Shade series by B. Forrest! I read them all since the beginning of the summer till Oct 27 2021

Lots of stuff happening in these books. Carol gets a mission and a mate and some new things are discovered and/or hinted at. It id awesome to see and hear about some long-held secrets, too!

Grate story line
Love the writing. A good combination of mistik, love and thrill provides hours of fun reading.
It can easily be see in our real world, if we could have some immortality....

The Mission
Wow! I was very excited about the characters in this trilogy. Not only do we learn more about Carol, but the continuing storyline between different members of the clan is so intriguing and exciting. I can’t wait till the next one. Buyin’ now!!

Hell of an adventure. Carol is pretty bad ass and unapologetic. She wants the respect she deserves. She definitely earns it in this trilogy

Holy Moly, this series couldn’t get any better. Espionage, intrigue, and secrets kept me reading nonstop. I’ve never read so many books by one author!!! Isabel rocks!

July 18, 2023The 'Dark Prince' trilogy begins after Lokan's capture with a focus on the information he can provide to secure the clan's upper hand against the doomers.
Predictions-
1. Trade Lokan for Areana
2. The mothers of all of Navuh's son, including Areana are kept hidden in his harem.
3. Syssi will not get pregnant until the end of the entire series. It will come full circle, starting and ending with she and Kian.
4. Calypso and Carol will open a restaurant togerher
5. Lokan will overthrow Navuh
Alena: "Which of the sons?"
Annani: "It does not matter."
Annani: "He should have called me right away, but he doesn't want me anywhere near Lokan."
It may not matter, but revealing the name in the same paragraph contradicts the statement nonetheless.
There is no way that Turner is as well connected and owed as many favors as are written in this trilogy. And to get all of the resources needed to pull off a near impossible mission...let's all take that "favor" back to reality.
