Easy reading set of 5 novellas that don't hold a lot of tension but do provide a bit of clean adventure. All standalones but probably should be read in order as the MC goes through some life changes. 3.5 stars with pretty good writing though it felt a little middle grade at times. Box set was free or cheap on Amazon. If you like mostly gentle westerns with a bit of action and light romance, this might work for you.

A mighty fine western read..
I enjoyed the story of a fine lawman. The grief that pulls at your heart from losing a spouse and the working that gets you through the weeks and months.. Then when you aren't watching God puts a good person in your path to.love and brings back quality back in your life.
The difference in being a law man's wife is not easy for a spouse.. The stories of his man hints are spellbounding. Thanks the story within th story.

I don’t have many boxed sets and most get dragged out until you are glad they are finished but these books are great it follows the life of a busy Marshal through different tales and they are busy books that can’t be put down until they are finished.

Good stories
These stories rang true to life back then. The characters felt real, too. I loved the vivid description of the places and people.

Good box set
Strong character with lots of action. Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading this authors books over and over again.

First comes bad, then Good
Ray a Charles could see what Riley should do, but pounding the bad guys was overwhelming —- until.. good story telling which pulls the reader in.
