If you’re not going forward, you’re going backwards. That’s what drives Selena Roberts, the need to keep going and never stop trying to be the best. Work is her life, and no one has ever made her want to change that. The moment Dominic Janske lays eyes on the captivating, workaholic brunette, he’s absolutely certain that she’s the woman he wants and needs. She’s intent on not giving in to the model-hot hockey center, no matter how attractive and distracting he is. One thing that Selena never considered is that even if she kept running on the wheel…someone might be ready and willing to give chase. With a little help from fate, loved ones and curveballs neither of them see coming - these two are in for the kind of ride that’s hard to forget. But if they can find their way to the finish line…it just might last a lifetime. Something Crazy contains a lovable cast of characters, a generous dash of spice and a heap of sweet; the fifth standalone centering around Atlanta’s new hockey team and the fun that comes with them. This is a love story that you don’t want to miss!
In addition to the people in her life that indulge her crazy - Aja Cole loves men that smell phenomenal, food that tastes amazing, and something that college makes it hard to do called sleep. She loves feedback and hearing from readers, as her goal is to become better with every release.
This hero wanted more than a wham, bam, thank you mam encounter. He’s the third hero I’ve come across in my reading journey that doesn’t quite fit the Alpha mold entirely.
He’s a sweet, kind and considerate and gentler Alpha that’s looking for someone to compete him. He’s not interested in one night stands. He wants a meaningful relationship with one woman to call his own.
Indulge me while I digress for a moment and shout out ...The hero knows how to do both the Cha Cha and Electric Slides! Say What?
I’m back!
I loved how he handled the heroine during their first encounter. She was so presumptuous and he completely did a 360 on her. Mic Drop! His strategic move had her asking “what just happened?” I know girl, right?! The hero put something on her mind and made me smile.
I thoroughly enjoyed their journey and the hero knew exactly what he did and didn't want and best of all, how to handle himself and her.
I hope the heroine’s best friend gets a book and she's paired with Bennett or one of the hero's Hockey Teammates. Highly Recommended: Read it.
This one is a slow burn. At first, the h was getting on my last nerve. She was back and forth all through the book. But then I thought about her life from childhood to her 28 year old self. When she was young and should have been spending time with friends, she was a "parent". Then when she was "rescued", she was trying to catch up with school and finally have a quiet life. Then she was working and in charge. She never had the normal life of a teen. No wishy-washy boyfriends no experience at a normal life. Then it clicked with me. She didn't know how to operate even as an adult. But once the H came into the picture, everything started falling into place. There were a few bumps in the road, but nothing to big for the love they had for each other. Great plot, strong characters and wonderful conclusion. Now I would like to see Aja's life story 🙂
Definitely my least favorite of the series. I feel like the romance wasn’t fully fleshed out. And Dom’s virginity being glossed over was a huge disappointment. When the book ended still don’t know why these two people are together. Was I supposed to be happy for them? Cause I wasn’t. And the random shooting at the gala as a plot device for Dom to talk about his dad??? Lame! Everything about this book was annoying and very surface level. Is this series linked to other series written by this author? I got that feeling cause stuff was mentioned and I was like when did that happen? Who are they talking about?! I actually hate it when authors do this. Don’t assume that the reader has read all of your damn books!
I just love stories about the Atlanta Outlaws and this was no exception. Dom and Selena's story was good from the beginning to the end. Two hurt soles meet at a gathering one afternoon with one outsmarting the other at the end of the day. Selena is a work- a-holic and doesn't feel that she is ready for romance, but Dom is ready to change that. They work through past family hurts and disappointments and find what they both really need in life. Great read.
I love hockey romances and this one was great! Dominic and Selena make such a cute couple. They seem like opposites when they first meet but once they dug a little deeper they found out they had alot in common. The progression of their relationship was perfect for me. He liked her but she wasn't ready for a relationship so he said let's be friends knowing he wanted more. He just had to wait for her to realize he was what she wanted and had been missing.
I hate that this is the last book in the Atlanta outlaws series,I have really enjoyed reading this series and Dom and Selena is no different.I was thrilled to hear that Adele was ok .I would have loved for Dom and Selena to have announced that they were pregnant but I'm glad that they had Posey .It was good reading about all the gang again in this book .I highly recommend this series
I want more! This series has not disappointed. Each one takes you on the love journey of distinct characters with their own love and challenges. Something Crazy is no exception. Selena and Dominic's story is actually an interesting twist. Selena - strong, driven, businesswoman - has no time for messy romantic entanglements. Dominic - athlete, handsome, thoughtful, and caring, looking for love and commitment. See the twist? Don't miss Something Crazy!
I have read all five books in the Outlaw series and this is my last favorite. First this has some grammatical issues. Second the story feels rushed and disjointed. Lastly, the characters felt hollow and I never felt chemistry between them. Sighh. I have enjoyed the series ago this was sad for me. If you haven't read Zeke and Mina #3 please do. My current ranking 3,1,2,4,5
Of the outlaws, this was my favorite. I loved Dom and Selena, and wanted more. That's always a good sign for me. I hope that there's more to come for this series, even if it's just a holiday novel. Aja Cole is like a fine wine, she gets better over time. Bravo!
This book 📖was good but I didn't care for Selena and how she played games with Dominique bit in the end she got it right. All it took was for her to se him with someone else to see reason.
4.75 I really liked this one. There was one part that seemed out of place. The event seemed unnecessary but it didn't really take anything away from the story so I just overlooked it. Other than that really good read, imo. Dom and Selena were cute together ❤!
So happy to continue reading this series. I loved Dom from the very beginning, but it took me a second to warm up to Selena. Regardless, their story was pretty good yet a bit dramatic at times. The sexy scenes though? Ridiculously hot so read just for those!
