Ryan "Razor" Thompson always had a rage burning deep inside of him. Before the end of the world, it was a burden. But now, under the state of uncertainty, it is something to be praised.
Trying to find a place in the new world, Razor joins a new government branch called the DC task force. A program created to help protect the country's most vulnerable resource—healthcare, which is rapidly depleting. But as time moves on, and as Razor moves up the ranks, he begins to see that the program isn't what it appears to be, and the leaders' agenda differs from what they claimed.
Now, Razor must choose what side he wants to be on, the DC task force, the new rebel group, called the Black Deficit, or the love of his life, Helena.
See how the DC task force began in this Surviving Red Prequel.

This book!!! Wow!! I was waiting on the edge of my seat for number 2 and wow!! Jana did not disappoint!! Razor and Helena gives you a in depth look at how the DC was formed but beyond that it gives you a beautiful love story that you definitely don’t expect in a time when the world is falling apart!! Razor is a super protective man who is a big teddy bear when it comes to Helena and that right there is just beautiful!! But this book helps you understand the background of the characters and gives you a look deeper into the world around the DC!! It’s a MUST read! But as I’m learning EVERYTHING by Jana Chantel is!! I can’t wait for the other books! This is a masterpiece!
First if you haven’t read Surviving Red which is Book 1 please read that first. On to the review :)
Man, taking two characters who are seemingly so different and bringing them together in this very intense setting sprinkled with a little bit of romance?? PHEW! This book is quite the journey emotionally and literally. You follow these characters and can’t help but to root for them in this crazy setting. Such a wild and emotional ride! Xx
Good continuation of the Surviving Red series, loved seeing how Helena and Razor came to be, but goodness the grammatical errors made it a hard read! I get the appeal of self-publishing, but don't forego editing in the process. The change in verb agreement and tense was distracting. Hell, I'll edit the next one for.free!
