Gemma James,what do you do to me??
I know the reasons Sagittarius arrived later,and i didn’t mind waiting.
But having read it,i am shattered….and in desperate need of a cure!
Tatum’s month started out with deals being struck,and new secrets being created.
Sebastian was still the one for Novalee and they get closer than before.
Liam is still stirring things up,and i seriously cursed that man more than once!
But what happens at the fashionshow….and after??
That is a nightmare,and i’m still waiting to hear it didn’t happen…..

Ho appena chiuso il nono volume della serie La regina dello zodiaco e... OMFG. Il finale mi ha lasciata completamente spiazzata. Dopo nove segni, nove casate, nove protagonisti che si sono intrecciati tra desideri, potere e carne, non mi aspettavo che il Sagittario chiudesse così.
Il libro in sé non è tra i più esplosivi della serie. La trama si muove con discrezione, senza grandi picchi narrativi, se non per il complotto legato alla manipolazione dell’asta, una mossa che aggiunge tensione politica più che erotica. Liam, rappresentante della casata dell’Ariete, si muove con il solito cinismo, orchestrando ricatti che lasciano il segno, ma non rubano la scena.
Eppure… quel finale. Quel colpo di coda... Non lo avevo previsto, non lo avevo nemmeno immaginato. È lì che il libro si riscatta, lasciando aperta una porta che non pensavo esistesse. Ora la curiosità mi divora: cosa succederà dopo? Cosa resta.
Rispetto ai volumi precedenti (alcuni più viscerali, altri più audaci nel linguaggio e nella tensione erotica) Sagittario gioca una partita diversa. Meno fuoco, più strategia. Ma non per questo meno incisivo.

La minaccia della concorrenza preoccupa e provoca incessantemente il leone possessivo che ormai tutte noi lettrici appassionate della serie Regina dello Zodiaco abbiamo imparato ad amare. #teamsebastian sempre.
Novalee gli appartiene, e Sebastian lo sa bene, eppure…la vista della metà meno sadica della Fratellanza accomodata sui divani difronte a loro, provoca nel leone un turbamento. E la paura di perderla si fa strada tra le sue insicurezze perché sa che “il dovere della regina” imposto a Novalee, frutto di una lunga tradizione che altrimenti rischierebbe di provocare conseguenze nefaste, ridurrà il suo cuore in mille pezzi.
Ciò che gli uomini della Fratellanza hanno da proporgli non gli piace. Non gli sta bene e non lo accetterà mai. E Novalee, ancora una volta, si troverà coinvolta nell’ormai storico tiro alla fune fra Liam e Sebastian, tra i quali aleggia un’acredine spaventosa che sembra essere senza fine.
Quale sarà la decisione che prenderà la regina?
Non vi resta che leggere questo nono libro della serie per scoprirlo.

Stufa di combattere e di dover “dare” qualcosa di sé ad ogni uomo della Fratellanza, decide che è giunto il momento di pensare unicamente al suo benessere. E lo fa, eccome se lo fa☺️
Un finale da paura, con un cliffangher che vi lascerà senza parole.
Una lettura entusiasmante e hot quanto basta. Non vedo l’ora di leggere il sequel.

Ok Mrs. Gemma James, you have a knack for leaving me breathless. SHOCKED ME! The cliffhanger at the end, WTF 😱😱😱😱 I'm already imagining everything that can happen in CAPRICORN, I'm coming up with theories for a thousand 🤪

Nel libro dedicato allo scorpione avevamo lasciato Novalee e Sebastian nello chalet sulla spiaggia per passare il weekend insieme concessogli da Ford.
La mattina dopo vengono sorpresi da sei degli uomini della fratellanza, Liam, Landon, Ford, Vince, Tatum e Hugo, con in mente un piano per manipolare l'asta e cambiare le regole che per anni sono state seguite scrupolosamente, cioè il dovere della Regina che prevede che una volta al mese si conceda ad uno dei segni, pena una maledizione che va avanti da centinaia di anni.
Purtroppo dopo le ultime rivelazioni Liam si rifiuta di dare il suo appoggio a meno che Novalee non accetti la condizione posta dal cancelliere stesso.
Quale sarà la decisione di Novalee e a quali conseguenze andrà incontro dopo aver fatto la sua scelta?
Il momento di partire per la sfilata si avvicina e Tatum, il Sagittarius, farà una concessione a Novalee, potrà portare con sé Sebastian a patto che lui possa guardare i loro incontri, essendo un voyeur.
L’idea di avere un pubblico per Novalee non è più così sconvolgente come una volta. Soprattutto dopo il mese passato con Ford e visto che ormai tutti gli uomini della fratellanza l'hanno vista nuda più volte.
Ma la curiosità di Novalee la conduce verso una direzione molto pericolosa, il suo cuore è di Sebastian, ma il suo corpo la tradisce quando si trova di fronte a delle scelte difficili prendendo il sopravvento sulla sua vita e su ciò che vuole veramente.
Ancora una volta sarà in balia dei giochetti e delle decisioni che uno alla volta gli uomini della fratellanza prendono al posto suo, facendola sentire vulnerabile, e forse è giunto il momento che per una volta sia lei a prendere qualcosa da loro.
Per la prima volta Novalee fa chiarezza dentro di sé, realizzando che gli uomini della Fratellanza innescano dentro di sé le sue deviazioni sessuali: Liam con il suo predominio, Vance con la sua eccentricità, Sebastian con la sua passione, Ford con le sue tendenze da playboy e per finire Tatum che coi suoi occhi vigili e attenti gli dà il permesso di volere tutto.
Ma a quale prezzo?
“Quel che è fatto è fatto. Conosco il tuo cuore, Novalee. Potrò anche arrabbiarmi ed essere geloso, ma non dubiterò mai dell’amore che provi per me.”
Ho provato a provare empatia per Liam, e spesso mi sono ritrovata a sentire la sua impotenza e la sua sofferenza nel non poter avere il cuore di Novalee al cento per cento, però poi se ne esce con delle pretese e dei ricatti che lo rendono piccolo e meschino, l'amore non è questo, se veramente provasse dei sentimenti così forti e puri per la sua Regina le darebbe una possibilità di scelta e non la metterebbe alle strette e con le spalle al muro.
Novalee dopo gli ultimi avvenimenti si ritrova a combattere una battaglia tutta da sola con dei mostri che non la fanno dormire la notte, il suo mondo diventa buio e silenzioso, e non riesce a trovare una via di fuga da quelle tenebre che la stanno avvolgendo tra le sue spire. Ma il peggio deve ancora arrivare, è lì dietro l'angolo pronto per distruggerla.
“Ma il mio cuore vuole soltanto te. Sebastian... sei tutto ciò a cui penso quando mi sveglio al mattino, ciò che mi fa sorridere durante il giorno, l’unico che riempie i miei sogni.”
E anche stavolta il finale lascia con l'amaro in bocca, possibile che non si ha un attimo di pace? 🤨🤨 E adesso, cosa devo aspettarmi nel prossimo libro dedicato al Capricorno? 🤔🤔
Dopo nove libri mai avrei creduto che l'autrice sarebbe riuscita a rapirmi e a sconvolgermi proprio come è accaduto nel primo volume, i colpi di scena ormai sono una costante, da un momento all'altro ci si aspetta che una catastrofe si abbatterà sulla povera Regina e, da spettatrice, non posso che restare inerme di fronte all'evolversi degli eventi.
Ormai siamo quasi alla fine di questa bellissima avventura, mai mi sarei aspettata un tale trasporto e, molto probabilmente, se l'avessi letta qualche anno fa non le avrei dato nessuna possibilità ma, evidentemente, è arrivata al momento giusto e non vedo l'ora di scoprire come andrà a finire, una storia intrigante, per certi versi assurda, ma molto, molto coinvolgente ed appassionante.

Come state? Finalmente, dopo mesi di attesa, siamo salpati sull'Isola dello Zodiaco alla scoperta del destino della nostra cara regina, Novalee Van Buren. Con il nono volume della serie "La regina dello Zodiaco", Gemma James ci introduce alla casata del Sagittarius. A capo della casata, troviamo Tatum che con la sua grande passione per il voyeurismo stuzzica molto la curiosità di Novalee e non solo la sua!
Come state? Finalmente, dopo mesi di attesa, siamo salpati sull'Isola dello Zodiaco alla scoperta del destino della nostra cara regina, Novalee Van Buren. Con il nono volume della serie "La regina dello Zodiaco", Gemma James ci introduce alla casata del Sagittarius. A capo della casata, troviamo Tatum che con la sua grande passione per il voyeurismo stuzzica molto la curiosità di Novalee e non solo la sua!
Ammettiamo che questo è stato un capitolo che ci ha fatto provare un'altalena di emozioni contrastanti che non pensavamo di poter provare.
Novalee ha dimostrato la sua natura contraddittoria anche in questo volume. La poca consapevolezza delle sue scelte e del fatto che esse comportano sempre delle conseguenze. Non ci è piaciuto come sia passata dalla voglia di sperimentare emozioni forti e pulsioni più carnali a provare grandi sensi di colpa, quando non è stata costretta a fare nulla. Detta così potrebbe anche sembrare eccessivo da parte nostra, ma ormai sono diversi gli episodi nei quali la nostra amata regina lancia il sasso e poi nasconde la mano; preferiremmo sicuramente che lei ammettesse il fatto che le piace essere desiderata da alcuni degli uomini della fratellanza.
Prima che possa allontanarsi, gli stringo le dita. “Il desiderio di amare e di essere amati in cambio non è egoistico sconsiderato. È ciò che ci rende umani. È ciò che rende la vita degna di essere vissuta”.
Entrambe facciamo farte del team Liam, il quale svelerà la natura che si cela dietro le sue amabili maniere con intenti che cozzeranno molto con i desideri di Novalee. Arrivati a questo punto della storia, abbiamo compreso che il compito del Cancelliere è sicuramente quello di rimescolare le carte in tavola per non dare tutto per scontato. Il personaggio di Sebastian si sta rivelando essere davvero ricco di sentimenti e molto devoto alla sua regina; in alcune parti, il nostro cuoricino ha palpitato.
Tornando alla nostra regina, accadrà una cosa che vi provare l'istinto di abbracciarla, ma ovviamente non possiamo scendere nei dettagli onde evitare spoiler. Ciò che possiamo dirvi è che Gemma James sa sempre qual è l’espediente giusto per lasciare i lettori scossi, in balia delle emozioni.
Il libro è un romanzo erotico breve, ma nelle sue poche pagine è possibile trovare di tutto. Infatti, l’autrice riesce a gestire con ampia maestria i fogli bianchi a sua disposizione. Il finale, al solito, ci lascia con l'acquolina in bocca e non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa accadrà nel mese del Capricorno!

This is the ninth book in the series. Its Tatum, Sagittarius’s month. Tatum is going to take Novalee to fashion week and he allows her to take someone with her. Of course, she chooses Sebastian. But things don’t go as planned. Tatum likes to watch and sometimes participate. That isn’t what goes wrong though. Novalee finds herself in a situation that is worse than anything she has faced in the tower. Will Sebastian and Tatum be able to save her in time? With the end coming some of the guys have come together to help Novalee get the man she wants. The chancellor however plans to use this to his advantage. If she wants his vote then she will have to give him something he wants. But what he asks for maybe a step to far. This was a great read. So much angst. I hope Novalee gets the man she wants without too much heartbreak. Sebastian and Novalee are fantastic for each other but in their world. I am excited to see how it ends. I feel for Novalee so much. It seems that she never really catches a break. So has been forced to do so many things she didn’t want to. So, few of the guys were interested in what she wanted or making a connection. Wonderful job Gemma.

Now starting her ninth month she is to begin her time with Tatum, The House of Sagittarius ♐️ yet before she's to begin she is once again faced with a decision. Decision isn't quite right as she really only can answer one way or everything she wished, prayed and hoped for will be destroyed. Unimaginably heartbreaking deals are made and secrets to be held that will not just destroy her. Her time with Tatum should of been an adventure but soon turns into chaos. Then throw in that explosive and devastating cliffhanger that was not what I expected! 😬
She is incredibly strong, resilient in everything that she has had to endure but how much can a person take untill they break beyond repair?
Her next month is with The House of Capricorn, and I can't wait to see what happens next. The suspense is driving me crazy I need her to come out of this mentality and physical in tact in peace and I hope with someone who loves her like she deserves.

SAGITTARIUS, the latest instalment in Gemma James’ The Zodiac Queen serial, turned out so different than I would have expected. But that’s exactly what I love about this serial – you just never know which road the story will take, blindsiding the reader at every turn. Secrets, revelations, and an ultimatum. I enjoyed Novalee’s time with Tatum and am seriously excited to find out what the House of Capricorn has in store for her. With the suspense after this cliffhanger being and an all-time high, I absolutely cannot wait for the next instalment!

Sagittarius was not at all what I expected and it kept me on my toes the entire time! Tatum was fun in comparison to some of the other brothers but the twists and turns this book took was like a roller coaster right from the first page! Ms Gemma James you are an absolute genius with your words and the ability to leave my jaw on the floor at the end of each book of this Zodiac Journey! Novalee has been through almost everything imaginable thus far and she’s so close to the end but damn this ending had me gasping!!

This series fascinated me to no end and this newest installment has just pulled me in even deeper. Gemma James has written such a unique and intriguing story and I’m hooked! Sagittarius has Novalee partnered with Tatum for the month. Her heart is settled with her chosen man but with this new month she’s been brought a serious temptation. Her internal struggle creates a palpable angst. As usual, Gemma keeps me on my toes because I had no idea what to expect and that ending left me screaming out loud.

A long time coming, Sagittarius was well worth the wait. This installment was phenomenal. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time... my last thought as I help my breath in disbelief is WHAT?!?!
Run and pick up book 1. These very short novella are entertaining with an interesting storyline, and the steam embedded through make this the whole package. While the stories are short, you get some great depth of the characters-especially since one book quickly picks up from the next.

Why a cliffhanger? Truly wasn’t the book emotional enough, we have to add more to it. Ugh. I will say that Tate is one of my favorites for sure. He lets her take what she needs (even if she still does some obeying). Also what happens to Axel. The fact that I’m going to be waiting for a while for the next installment is going to suck, but I’m ready for it.

Still Waiting for the Shoe to Drop with Lilith and Sebastien
The protagonist has become a doormat, allowing things to happen to her. She lacks a backbone in most cases. I know that one or more of these twists are awaiting in the Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces houses….Novalee must stand up for herself and take the throne without a husband, like Elizabeth and Cleopatra did. She must never again accept treachery from Sebastien and harden her heart
Somehow, Lilith and Sebastian’s child become heir apparent and cheat’s Novalee’s own child out of his/her birthright. Novalee realizes this before marrying Sebastien and walks away from the triangle.
Novalee must seriously consider suicide as an option, especially if Taurus bids and wins or if Novalee begins to view herself as a whore to these zodiac men who do not respect her.
Novalee hates her former handmaiden for her happiness while Novalee is used and abused by these men.
The Chancellor learns of Novalee’s brother warning her against Liam and why.
Novalee tells everyone about her parentage, leaves Zodiac Island gives up the crown for her inheritance and leaves them all behind as a bad memory.
The new laws to be voted on will let Sebastien and Lilith marry.
Sebastien learns of the Chancellor’s treachery

It contains subject matter that may trigger you including but not limited to: Extreme patriarchy, forced sexual contact, forced subservience, corporal punishment and slavery.
You should also know that the storyline will probably suck you in (it definitely sucked me in), it's fascinating in a dark way. It's also a serial, which means it is short, like really short. Know that going in. Also, the series isn't complete so if you really can't stand cliffhangers, maybe wait till the last book is released. Finally, The Zodiac Queen series isn't a fairy tale or a rom-com... if you are particularly sensitive you might want to steer clear.

Vance Morgan, Cancer, month 4: The doc is a great conversationalist but he sure likes to deny a girl with party drugs.
Sebastian Stone, Leo, month 5: Full 180 on that guy. Novalee has deep feelings for him and he has a past that's going to make itself known.
Miles Sinclair, Virgo, month 6: Meticulous, patient virgin who designs high tech kink (oh the irony) also downright cruel & vengeful.
Pax Monroe, Libra, month 7: Sadistic, vengeful and deviant. Novalee was spared from the worst of Pax.

Which brings us to Tatum Harding and the house of Sagittarius, the voyeuristic pilot that’s full of surprises.Novalee takes something that she wants in this installment and man does this one end in a cliffhanger that will keep you clamoring for the next episode.
This episode will probably wreck you. Between the triggers (extra trigger warnings on this one), the intense feelings when Novalee lets her wild side out to play, and the cliffhanger - you’ll be hooked right back in this story like no time has passed since the last.
In Sagittarius we see Novalee with some power in the midst of this crazy misogynistic brotherhood. She debuts as a fashion designer in her first runway show and leverages some carnal power as well. Naturally, she is guilt ridden for choosing her own pleasure over the Lion’s feelings. Then tragedy upon tragedy strikes and we are left with a Cliffhanger. With a capital C. No spoilers here… but personally, I don’t think that’s the end of that storyline. To me, it’s merely a matter of how and when that picks back up. Will it be in Capricorn (the next episode) or will the author torture us by making us wait for longer.
And speaking of waiting…it’s true, it’s been a hot minute since Scorpio was released. I did go back and reread it to refresh myself on where we were before diving into Sagittarius. Life happens, plans change. The bonus here is that each episode of this serial is short enough that you can reread without a huge time commitment.
Summary of the Zodiac Queen World in 2 sentences:
Basically, the whole society is steeped in old-outdated thoughts and ideas of all-powerful wealthy (obvs) men who feel entitled to have/do whatever they want whilst simultaneously performing under their "duty" to The Brotherhood. I am fascinated at the the way the story is set in a modern time, but still feels as though it's blending old into the modern.

Nono capitolo della serie "La Regina dello Zodiaco", un volume bomba e ricco di colpi di scena che sconvolgeranno gli equilibri già precari dei personaggi dell'isola, in particolare di Novalee, sempre più convinta della sua scelta, sempre più convinta di volere Sebastian e in questo capitolo più consapevole del suo corpo, dei suoi desideri e delle sue voglie. A volte appare confusa, indecisa, ma questo fa tutto parte della sua continua crescita e sfido chiunque a sottostare e sopportare ogni regola che le viene imposta da ogni componente della fratellanza, per cui capisco qualche suo piccolo traballamento, ma ciò che sicuramente rimane ferma, è il suo sentimento e il suo profondo amore per Sebastian, nonostante esso venga sempre messo continuamente alla prova.
In questo capitolo si stipulano accordi segreti, attuati ricatti che richiederanno un grosso sacrificio e una scelta allo scopo di permettere il raggiungimento della felicità piena e tanto cercata, verranno fatte feste scatenate con associate delle grosse conseguenze e, beh, un colpo di scena che più scena non si può di cui non parlerò assolutamente, perché questo capitolo va letto attentamente, in quanto secondo me metterà davvero in evidenza non solo i desideri di ognuno dei personaggi coinvolti, ma anche e forse vecchie dinamiche, vecchi pensieri e vecchi dubbi, quelli che sono venuti a me, quelli che ti permettono di creare teorie e che nei prossimi capitoli speri di vedere se siano fondati o meno.
Ma passiamo al personaggio di Tatum Harding, colui che sta sotto il segno del Sagittario. Cosa dire di lui? Il pilota dell'isola, dalle buone maniere e dallo charme impeccabile, all'apparenza sembra buono in quanto farà un grosso regalo alla nostra Novalee, ma che possiede una particolarità, ovvero, è un uomo che ama guardare e sarà proprio questa la condizione che lui le porrà. Sono sincera, è un personaggio interessante, perché sarà proprio lui a far prendere a Novalee coscienza di sé, dei suoi desideri nascosti e che ha paura di mostrare, non è un personaggio cattivo, anzi, lo reputo uno dei "buoni" e ne sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita, un po' come per il personaggio di Ford o di Vance, che a loro modo intrigano il lettore.
"Ogni scelta ha una sua conseguenza" e in questo capitolo, tale frase non può che essere vera, perché esse possono ferire chi ami, ma anche portare a tragedie che potrebbero spezzati definitivamente e chissà, in futuro farti compiere scelte, che a mio avviso, potranno essere sbagliate. Io dico che qui qualcosa bolle in pentole e qualcosa si muove nell'ombra, qualcuno brama nell'ombra, interpretando forse una parte, chissà, le mie sono solo supposizioni, ma aspetto gli ultimi capitoli per sapere alla fine quale sarà la verità, perché al momento tutto è ancora confuso.
Per il resto, come sempre la lettura dei libri di Gemma James è sempre piacevole, sconvolgente e meravigliosa, l'attesa vale davvero la pena e per chi non ha ancora iniziato la lettura di questa serie, consiglio vivamente di farlo, perché non solo è originale, ma chissà, potrebbe farvi scoprire qualcosa di voi stesse che tenete nascosto o semplicemente non vi dispiacerà leggere. La narrazione della storia è in prima persona, come sempre dal punto di vista di Novalee, mentre la copertina è bellissima come tutte le altre, significativa direi. Non vedo l'ora che esca Capricorn.

I need to start off by saying that I’m not overly patient and this series novella format is really not my thing where each installment is about 100 pages and it has now been 3 years since the series started in Oct 2019 and it is still not complete. That being said, I am completely intrigued with the underlying mystery of the Zodiac Brotherhood.
Novalee is left in the care of her uncle after her parents pass. He has arranged for her to be auctioned off to one of the 12 members of the Zodiac Brotherhood, but first she has to spend one month with each of the men. In book 9, we have Novalee going to LA for a fashion show. I’m not sure if I can hold on for the ending at this point. I really want to see how it ends, but with 3 more books to come and 6-8 months between releases, at this point we are about 2 years away. I get the author may have challenges, but for me to remember what is happening in the storyline that will be 1200 pages and span 4+ years to release….I’m not sure how I feel.

Novalee is left in the care of her uncle after her parents pass. He has arranged for her to be auctioned off to one of the 12 members of the Zodiac Brotherhood, but first she has to spend one month with each of the men. In book 9, we have Novalee going to LA for a fashion show. I’m not sure if I can hold on for the ending at this point. I really want to see how it ends, but with 3 more books to come and 6-8 months between releases, at this point we are about 2 years away. Se non avete ancora letto la saga della fratellanza dello zodiaco e della regina dovete recuperare assolutamente.
Dodici uomini e una donna,lei deve trascorrere ogni mese nella casata di ognuno di loro senza mai concedersi,chi vincerà l’asta potrà possederla per la prima volta.
Siete pronti? Io non credo.
Per il viaggio sull’isola dei famosi vi servirà tanta pazienza e molte docce fredde perchè la situazione si ribalta una volta si e l’altra pure,ogni zio boia di minuto.
I cavalieri dello zodiaco sono molto diversi tra loro ed è probabile che vi ammalieranno con il loro fascino ma……SOLO UNO È QUELLO GIUSTO
Ps Nessun Cancelliere è stato maltrattato o denigrato in precedenza….STRA E STRA CIT.
Questa recensione ovviamente esula dalle altre in quando ironica e io sono ancora molto arrabbiata con la Gemma.

Ho aspettato tanto questo volume ed ero assolutamente curiosa di scoprire come si fosse evoluta la situazione ma con mio dispiacere ho trovato solo grande delusione.
Per me un no sense in quanto Tatum completamente inesistente se non per quella mezz’ora di pura perdizione che Gesù grazie,quando la nostra sessione?
Novalee una scema del villaggio altro che regina,ma tutto bene? Cioè io davvero non capisco dopo otto milioni di vicissitudini questa ama X ma se lo vuole far infilare da tutti ( ok buon gustaia ma giunti al punto anche meno ) sei proprio una pu****nella sorry not sorry.
Sevastian e Liam i due team che si incontrano e scontrano ogni volta,arriveremo ad una conclusione? Io sinceramente ho paura di essere delusa e buttare all’aria il mio entusiasmo.
Che brutta persona che sono non ho nemmeno pianto per il finale perché tanto non ci credo,ma proprio nononono.

Una serie che ho amato sin dal primo libro, accattivante, dinamica, riserva sempre colpi di scena inimmaginabili. Ti rende completamente dipendente, non puoi farne a meno.
