혼인을 앞두고 복잡한 마음을 정리하려고 떠난 여행.
목숨을 구해 준 은인을 도우려 가짜 신부를 해 주다가 이 혼인을 막으려는 무리로부터 납치를 당하고 만다.
“당신들, 사람 잘못 골랐어. 진짜 신부는 내가 아니라고요!”
로제타는 자신이 진짜 신부가 아니라 주장해 보지만, 신부 옷까지 입고 있는 그녀의 말을 아무도 믿어 주지 않는다. 급기야 위험한 상황에까지 처하게 되는데….
“이 여자는 내 아내로 삼을 것이다.”
그리고 생각지도 못한 부족장의 선언.

“이제까지 설명하지 않았나.”
“아니, 그거 말고요. 난 이제 대외적으로 당신한테 하룻밤 상대로 농락당하다가 버려진 여자가 되는 거예요?”
순간 그의 가슴이 들썩이며 사레가 걸린 것 같은 이상한 소리가 흘러나왔다. 그 바람에 기껏 공들여 감아 놓은 붕대가 내려갔다.
“움직이지 말아요!”
로제타는 따끔한 경고를 했다. 라시드는 이마를 짚으며 신음을 흘렸다.
“지금 대체 무슨 소리를….”
“그래서 내가 전에 물었잖아요. 가족에게 돌아가면 내 삶이 이전으로 돌아갈 수 있을 거라고 생각하느냐고.”

i just read the raws in its entirety. i’m a MASSIVE fan. i’ll be rereading this when the official translation’s been completed, for sure!
