Try like hell, but you can’t outrun destiny. She’s a persistent bitch, after all.

Oscar Cornwall, one of the last descendents of the original witches who founded Everlost, has been avoiding his wiccaning since he was sixteen. With the High Witch Council demanding he fulfill his duties, he’s out of time and he still needs a demon familiar.

No one has ever asked or cared about what Asmodeus, one of the Seven Princes of Hell, wants or needs. Until he meets a cute little witch hell bent on holding onto his soul. Binding himself to a witch was never in Asmodeus’ plans, but the perks of being a familiar are too good to pass up.

Negotiating with a demon ensures damnation and being a witch's familiar requires servitude. Neither expected their arrangement to become so complicated.

Is the contract messing with their heads or are they genuinely falling in love?

This was a sweet and sexy romance. Oscar was a witch, and Asmodeus was his familiar and a prince of Hell. Oscar was obviously a very powerful witch, but he didn't use his powers here beyond summoning Asmodeus. Deus was a high level demon, but we only saw him doing good, mostly for Oscar. Both men were easy to love, as they immediately began to turn to each other for friendship, comfort, and more.
Though Deus still retained his high rank as a demon, which he had no intention of giving up, he was happy living with Oscar and learning to blend in with humanity. While I would have liked to see Oscar use his powers beyond the summoning, it was very cool seeing Asmodeus move from place to place using Hell as his portal. This couple would definitely have been very powerful in the supernatural community of Everlost if they wanted to, but they just wanted to be free to do as they pleased.
The supporting characters here were all likable, and it was fun to see how Oscar relaxed with his longtime friend and fellow witch Eira. I appreciated the moments at E11even with Elio and Micah from Stay, who were still completely in love.
This was a great addition to the Touch of Desire series, and I'm already anxious and excited to read the next one!

Omg! So good!

Argghh! I feel like Oscar and I need to bounce around to dispel some of the electricity from this story! Where to start?! I love this book! I was already hooked by the first book, "Stay", and now I'm even more addicted to this series and world. Oscar and Deus are absolutely perfect for each other - a powerful witch with no interest in being on the Witches Counsel and a Demon Prince of Hell! The fact that Oscar is so utterly adorable and sweet and Deus is walking sex ... yeah, definitely perfect together! I loved the humor and snarky banter and we get to learn a little more about the secret world of Everlost. Old friends from the first book and new friends from the witch-demon familiar community help to round out this amazing cast of characters, and I find myself totally invested in wanting more. Wanting to know what happens next. Autumn Breeze was a new author to me when I read "Stay" and I was completely blown away by that story, and this one just reinforces my opinion that she's going to be an author to watch. I honestly can't say enough good things about this book and I 100% recommend this series!

A fantastic story with such interesting characters. Oscar doesn't want to be stuck under archaic rules and ends up with Asmodeus and it is so fun to watch their shenanigans play out. A different tone from book one in that there is more action and more people involved. Awesome couple with a surprising wild side and kept.me engaged throughout, I do hope we get Oscar's brother's story.

Autumn Breeze is an artist with her "Touch of Desire" series - Book #2 is no exception. Often readers will long for more about a character or characters. Breeze continues to give her readers additional angles and insight into characters in Book #1 ("Stay") while offering us a beautiful story in "Need." (Spoiler alert - I love Book #3 ("Want") just as much!

You NEED to read this!

Another great story in the E11even world. Love the authors writing style and can't wait for the next book. Hope to get Oliver's story sometime down the road!

I am enjoying this series. Oscar is forced to get a demon familiar and the one he summons is so much more than he would have ever thought. Oscar and Asmodeus both benefit from their arrangement and I absolutely loved seeing them figure out their feelings and how they both supported what would make the other happy. Most of all I was glad that Oscar was able to get part of his family back. They were just meant to be together and it’s easy to see with how well they fit.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review

A sweet love story about a witch and a demon both wanting freedom and finding a home in each other. Can in theory be read as a standalone, though A few details might be confusing.
