Sometimes, you have to do what is best for yourself despite everyone else.
Silas Gold is human. The wolf pack where he spent his formative years never let him forget it, either. Their harassment left him bruised, battered, and running away as soon as he was old enough to escape. In New York, he may be alone but he found safety snd sanctuary at E11EVEN—the trendy gay nightclub where he tends bar. . Then, after five long years, the mate he left behind finds him.
Cassius Nightingale learned the hard way actions have consequences. Fear destroyed the most important relationship of his life. He isn’t sure how to make things right with his mate or even if he can, but he has to try.
Is forgiveness enough when there is no place on pack land for Silas and no place for Cassius in the city? Are they really nothing more than two men, bound together by a cruel joke destiny decided to play? Or is a second chance all they need?
Silas and Cassius were a great couple in this third book in the Touch of Desire series. The couple's back story was heartbreaking, but they never got over their love for each other. Once wolf shifter Cassius found out where Silas had ended up after running away, he was willing to do whatever it took to stay with his human mate. I loved these two together. There were a couple of things I was left wondering about at the end, but the relationship was solid, and the love was strong. That made it a definite happy ever after for me. This is a wonderful series, and I'm here for any other installments the author decided to offer up. Excellent!
This was another nice story in this series. Silas was a little bit of a mystery in the first books but I was glad to get the chance to really get to know him. Cassius made a lot of mistakes when they were younger but has come to show Silas that he won’t again. I don’t know how long Silas refused to speak to Cassius before he finally gave in after this book started but it did seem like he changed his mind pretty quickly. I was glad that Silas was able to find and see the acceptance he thought he never had with the wolf pack and even was willing to stay so that Cassius could be with the pack.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review
Silas is so compassionate and if it were me I would not of forgiven so easily, he has a heart of gold despite some aggro from fellow acquaintances. Cass wasn't over the top and worked for his redemption and it was sweet watching them both reconnect along the way and rediscover each other. I do hope we get a story with Frank and his friend, excellent storytelling and incredibly investing world.
A nice read, though I didn't like it as much as the first two. A story about prioritizing your own well-being, second chances and not giving up on life and happiness.
