Another somewhat “corny” novel about Claire and the other quilters of Door County, WI. But…. I do enjoy the familiarity of the characters and their lives as well as the towns of Door County that I remember visiting. On to the next novel to see what happens next.

3rd in the Door County Quilt Series, I enjoy these books. So comfy and cozy; only because we vacationed in Fish Creek, WI last summer, I like to quilt, and I like to paint. I can relate to so many things in the main character's life, and this series helps me relax at night when I want to get my mind off of my daily tasks. Others without these hobbies would most likely be bored by this series. But I love it.

This was the perfect read to get me in the holiday spirit. The story takes place in Door County, Wisconsin in the days leading up to Thanksgiving all the way through celebrations of the New Year. It is the first book I've read by Ann Hazelwood although I have seen her written up in various sewing and quilting magazines I subscribe to. Even though this was third in a series I was able to read it as a stand alone. However, the surprise ending made me want to find the fourth Door County Quilts book soon so I can find out what happens next. I like Hazelwood's style of writing (although it does seem as though her characters drink a lot of wine). The story progresses quickly. Her characters are likeable and the setting makes me want to explore Door County on my next vacation.

I can't believe I'm even reading this series except I'm someone who wants to know the end.

These are the only books I have read of hers but it feels like it is written by a teen. I feel her relationships are very shallow. It also feels like all she does is report on what she does all day.

The main character is very juvenile for her age in my opinion. But if I drank and ate as much as she does I would weigh 500 pounds.

I realize she has money set aside from her father but she is not very careful with her money. She eats out constantly and buys very extravagant gifts for her friends. She is not someone I could ever be friends with. She is annoying.

The 3rd book in the series was pretty much the same as the other two, nothing exciting really. I did like the Christmas theme of the whole story. There are so many mini stories that are apart of this book that it gets a little confusing keeping track of them all. I wish there was more closure for some of them. But, again, I have become attached to the main characters so I will keep reading, at least the next book.

If only

Everyone had a Claire and good friends. If only everyone was as concerned about each other. Christmas time in Door County is a time of parties, gifts, friendship and love. This series is good clean fun to read. It's everyday life with ups and downs and people to share it with. Great job. Thank you. Merry Christmas!

Ms. Hazelwood has done it again by drawing us in to the lives of the characters in this volume of the Door County series. The holiday season is as busy as you might expect and this one is definitely a good read for the season.

This series makes me want to go to Door county. There are a lot of women and possibilities for life events. Relationships develop. Friends are available to help each other. Quilting is key to each story. Now I have to wait until almost May for book #4.

I will give this 3 1/2 stars. I was happy how the barn quilt business all turned out. I felt all the goings on with Austen was a distraction the entire novel. Not sure I cared for how the book ended. Now when she writes a 4th book for the series, I’ll have to read it!

Even though it is May, I enjoyed reading this Christmas themed book - the 3rd in the Door County Quilts series. The main character, Claire, a transplant to Door County, Wisconsin from Missouri, continues to grow in her relationships and involvement in her new community. Her artistic passions (art quilting and painting) continue to inspire and sell in this haven for artists. She is really getting to know Grayson, a handsome widower with a teenage daughter, and balances her passion for friends, and the works of art she creates and sells to support herself. She has many friends, is in a quilt group, and was instrumental (in the previous book) in the first ever Outdoor Quilt Show in Door County. It was a huge success, and is now in the planning stage for next summer. Food and drink also play a big part in the story - both homemade, and at the many dining establishments in Door County. As with the first two books in the series, the ending is a “cliffhanger “. I already have book 4 in the series on my book stack.

I am reading this series because it is set in Door County, Wisconsin. I enjoy recognizing the various businesses and other locations that are real in the Door Peninsula. The characters have no depth, though, and these books are pretty low on substance. This one in particular made me feel cheated. It ends abruptly in such a way that it could have been cut off mid-paragraph. Obviously there will be a sequel. I am disappointed in these thin (in the sense of power, meaning, theme, body) books that some authors are churning out and dividing into small bites so as to lure their readership into buying the next one. Think Rachel Hanna. I am really disappointed this time. Door County deserves better.

Like the first 2 books in this series,I enjoyed it. it was a quick read... chapters are very short. it's like a Hallmark movie. Not a lot of drama but just enough. the frustrating thing was that like the first book, it leaves you hanging at the end. I had thought there was only 3 books on the series. the fourth book is still in the process of being published. So I was not happy about that.

This is another good addition to this lovely series. I was glad to catch up with the characters, enjoyed the story and had fun.
The mystery is full of twists and kept me guessing.

OMG please stop ending these stories with a cliffhanger. It’s a fun read until the end.
