Two nice team up stories featuring Captain Marvel (CM). In the first story CM teams up with Ghost-Spider to take on the Mad Thinker and the Awesome Android. In the second story CM and Squirrel Girl have to fix a glitch in the Avengers version of the 'Danger Room' as CM faces off against her digital avatar in a video game world trying to destroy her. A fun read for younger CM fans!
Lately, I've been reading Marvel Action Comics and so far I like Captain Marvel, Chillers and Now Black Panther. I really like the plot where a Superhero(ine) gets transported into a Video Game and y'know how the rest goes.
While this wasn't necessarily my favorite romp in the MCU trade paperback world, I do know my daughter enjoyed it. I think it might have been something that is just not in my demographics to enjoy. The art was fun and story as well...but I found myself not very gripped. That said, my daughter seemed to enjoy it a lot and it may just be the generational gap. Captain Marvel teams up with friends to face bad-guys even going into a Minecraft type world, flash mobs and villain battles. None are bad at all...I just found myself more interested in smaller aspects of the book when the main ones.
Very cute, especially the first story, although it felt like it might've gone on for too long. I'm definitely on the Carol-side of things regarding Clik-Clok social media shenanigans... The second story wasn't exactly an original tale but equally cute and I'm sure kids will enjoy Captain Marvel leveling up through multiple games.
