Oh my!!
I love everything about the series, you all not get a complaint out of me. Well, I lied on that one, sorry not sorry, lol. NASA about, please make the books a little longer. You could take out the snippets of each book and continue with the story and at the end put the titles of all the books in the series. I just don't want the books to end so quickly. I would pull my hair out waiting for the next book but I'm bald a headed! I have read all your books back to back and I'm a huge fan. Keep up the awesome work.

Dark Haven Unmasked picked up right where we left off with Leon and Ana's story! I did love watching them both cautiously move forward with their relationship at a slower pace than some of the other couples in the CotG's universe. But the most intriguing piece to this story was the mystery behind Emmett! I kept reading hoping to find the answer quickly, but I had to wait just as long as Eleanor and Peter did. Then BAM as soon as we find out with Eleanor what happened, then I'm pushing forward hoping for a quick resolution. I was thankful that the clan did not act on assuming the worst with Eleanor, I feel so bad for her already tender self-view. I hope this can be resolved in the next book as I may not fully like her from previous books, but I feel like she is one that surely deserves a second chance like Wendy did.
So now that we know what is going on with Emmett I realize just how many more possibilities there will be for learning about this other group! Excited for the next book to see where this goes and if Lin, Mey, Lokan, and Vlad will be apart of the next few storylines! Again, a little slower than the other couples, but the couples that have been slower in the past books are still wonderful to read. Ana has just as much growing to do that Eleanor does so I'm hoping those two find some self confidence soon!

Leon & Ana bond while Eleanor and Peter try to uncover Emmett’s secrets
The tale of Leon and Ana continue, with the pair bonding in a cabin away from Safe Haven, while Eleanor (aka Marisol) and Peter (aka Devlin) stay behind to figure out if there really is something nefarious about Emmett and his Way.
This is the book that made me an Eleanor fan. She’s prickly and sarcastic and predisposed to not trust people, but as we get to know her, she’s letting her vulnerabilities show bit by bit and when she’s not being defensive, she’s pretty cool. I’m hoping that she’ll become a Guardian because she would demolish it. Her and Kri? I can’t even begin to describe how awesome that could be.
Where Jin and Mey come from (the unknowns in China) is looking more and more important as they’re now on the Doomers’ radar, with Lokan in the mix. I can’t wait to find out! Because Lucas does a great job of giving us hints that pan out into great stories: ex. the Doomers who went AWOL leading to Kalugal & Co., with all those possibilities and great new characters.
Warning: This book focused mainly on newer characters, so it’s a good idea to read a few more recent books first so you’re familiar with the main characters of the story.

Dark Haven Unmasked KU 317 pgs *** 8/28/21 Leon & Anastasia
3 stars. Leon and Anastasia make it out of Save-Haven for a week to stay in the clan’s mountain cabin. She is still very suspicious at times thinking Leon only wants to convince her not to return to Safe-Haven but other times she is glad she is spending time with him away from there. She finally speaks with her father, but she isn’t convinced he cares, just only worried about all the money it’s costing her to be at Safe-Haven. Lokan met with Navuh and was “told” he and Losham would move to China to start a revolution and gain info from the big wig politicians over there. Lokan was not happy because there was no way he could take Carol with him with Losham there. Would he waver and go alone or walk away from the Brotherhood? Eleanor and Peter continue their investigation into Emmett but with great difficulty since the man is a master at hiding everything including himself. There is some excitement with Eleanor and Peter as well as the almighty Emmitt. The Guardians have to come in to rescue the mess at Safe-Haven. To me, there is only some chemistry between Leon and Ana. They don’t seem to have much in common at all so they aren’t that interesting except maybe in the sex department but that got old really quick as Leon wasn’t allowed to tell her about immortality, so he had to hide his glowing eyes and the bites. This went on the entire book, so it got a little monotonous.

Emmett’s Way; A FEW SPOILERS!!!!
Sorry, just had to start the review with the saying of Safe Haven because it is just too hilarious. I can just imagine it as a license plate on a shiny blue corvette. Lol
Absolutely loved reading this one. I laughed so much. Usually I write a few of them down but I was so absorbed in the story I didn’t notice I was at the end until I flipped the “kindle epage) lol
and wham it’s review time. So obviously dear reader I LOVED this book. Emmett the fearless leader is a hoot.
Ana and Leon- uh WOW😳 steamy much? Yep, just like we love ❤️ it!! So, Kian is getting perturbed because so many things keep coming up China. I guess we’re off to China soon along with a few more mysteries to figure out. Ooooh such fun!! Ya know what I’m absolutely thrilled to be wrong about Eleanor. It was a lot of fun to get to know her better and really see why she made the choices she did. I also admire her courage to stand by her conviction and be the badass warrior she is.

Another great book!
This was another great book in the Children of the Gods series. We get to know Leon and Anastasia a bit better and see their relationship continue to grow. We also learn more about about Eleanor and see how she has changed since joining the clan. She really has grown on me as a character. Finally we learn at least part of the truth regarding Emmett and I cannot wait to see where that story goes.
Overall this is a great story and has started to take a direction I never would have expected. I cannot wait to see where this story is going to go next. Thank goodness IT Lucas is so quick with her releases! Absolutely read this book and start with book 1 if you haven’t begun the series before. Most books are set up in a 3 book trilogy with a continues main couple so the book count isn’t as daunting as it seems. With this series I am always so excited for the next book!

I.T. Lucas - Dark Haven Unmasked (The Children Of The Gods Paranormal Romance Book 48)
This awesome book answers as many questions as it brings up. Highly suggested to read the other books in the marvelous series and at least the previous parts of this Dark Haven adventure.
Anastasia and Leon continue to bond, Leon hoping she will transition. Ana having no idea why Peter wants her wearing a blindfold during intimate relations (hide the fangs and glowing eyes). I’m hoping she will transition soon and they can figure out where all these newly discovered dormant are coming from (so many possibilities).
Emmet is a complete and very intriguing mystery. His people and backstory are very unusual, where are his people from and is he possibly a madman. Somehow all these newly transitioned immortals may find out their heritage. After all these books I should be used to the cliffhangers but again I am left anxious for the next one to be released!

No, you is not we and you, literally, did not, so say no. This interrogation could be much more favorable to the clan. Stop offering more information than required! This is driving me crazy.
Anastasia may be my least favorite character in clan. She is the most gullible, naïve, stupid person and I cannot stand her. I have yet to understand Leon's attraction to her, aside from physical, but the aforementioned behavioral traits are enough to send most running.
Extortion. Compulsion. Brainwashing. Acceptance. This book shows a 'cult' of personality, literally.
Prior to Shirley retrieving Margaret's purse, it was said that there were no room numbers, just that she knew which was Margaret's. When Peter's things need to be retrieved, his room number is 48. In such a long series, it is important to be careful to maintain consistencies.
Unproven theory: Emmett is Wendy's father. And Emmett is not his real name.

Pretty good
The book was pretty good, just felt very fast paced compared to some of the others. And the new characters that are the main focus are just kinda ehhh to me. I have been waiting to see onegus find his mate, and dang it i am convinced the clan mother's mate is stuck in stasis somewhere and MUST be found!!! I know the current plot and characters are supposed to lead us to China and this new long living tribe( and at this point it is safe to say that the clan already has 3 hybrid immortals descended from this tribe... mey, jen, and vald) but i want juicier details and stories...the eldest daughter of the clan mother NEEDS a mate as well!! She is the only sibling not paired up! And what about Wonder's sister!!! Ugh i keep reading because i am hooked!! Def recommend!!!!!

I.T. LUCAS can't write these fast enough for me.
I am so glad I stumbled across this series. I had never read The Children of the Gods before & it intrigued me. After the first book I was hooked. I love how the story lines merge from one book to the next and watching the characters find true love through the bumps in the road. In Dark Haven she introduces a totally different character in Emmet that I can't wait to see unfold. I don't like to give story lines away because to me it takes away from the fun of reading it. I know some people it doesn't bother . What I will say is this is a great series and you won't regret it. So now I'm on to book 49 . I'm behind by one book due to unforseen circumstances. I hope you all will join me on this magical ride. I read in Kindle Unlimited so I don't get put as a verified buyer .

Better and Better
I really wish I could give this series a higher rating.
I'm so glad Leon is getting his story told.
I can't wait to see where the story of Emmet is going.
I swear this series just gets better and better. I'm itching to say more but I won't. I don't like reading any spoilers so I won't do it to you.
I've said it before but, I really hope Annani gets her HEA. I don't know how she would find her mate after all these years, but I know IT Lucas could.
If your looking for a paranormal series that makes you want to be a Ho because you want every male you read about, this is it. I can promise you won't be disappointed.

Dark Haven Unmasked is book 48 in I.T Lucas' Children of the Gods series. We return to Safe Haven and discover what's really going in inside the cult that Anastasia joined. Leon, Peter and Eleanor to undercover to find of how to save Anastasia and the rest of the cult members. The twist and turns along with a few surprises will keep you guessing. The new characters bring new story lines for the beloved characters of the Village. I can't wait to see what happens next.

It just keeps going
You'd think after 48 books the story would be getting repetitive and boring but it's the complete opposite!! I.T Lucas is a genius author and knows just how to keep you hooked in the story. I love how this book has added a new turn for the clan and I can't wait to see what happens next. The only thing I don't like about it is waiting so long for the next one.

New Direction!
I like the new direction this series is taking. A new variation of immortal could bring more characters and more excitement. I admit that while I love this series, it was beginning to be very predictable in my opinion. This book started out slow but really picked up and I became anxious to see how this will turn out and how the clan will resolve the new issue. I now can't wait for the new book!

Could have been perfect
If only the author could stop the ridiculous inner monologues of irrational and illogical thoughts. I’m starting to think that she possibly suffers from something and her writing reflects the way she thinks. It’s just an endless rambling of thoughts and they sway from a sane line of thinking to totally ridiculous. If not for the latter, it would be an excellent read.

If your looking for series to start this is it. Start with book one and work your way through. Each one starts with a new character that is added to all the existing characters. You really get to know them and feel draw to find out more. Plus you like them. The Author has a gift for taking you on an adventure and allowing you to forget the world and become part of another. Fun read.

Like catching up with old friends
I've a reading (The Children of the Gods ) series since the beginning, and I have loved everyone of the 48 books. Reading each new book is like catching up with old friends. The never seems old or stale and always takes an unexpected twist. Dark Haven Unmasked is no different. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book.

Gods! Immortals! Vampires? Oh, my!
At the time I started reading this series there were 16 books and I read them one after the other. I could not put them down. Now there are 48 and they just keep getting better and better! Looking forward to the next one. Cannot wait to see what happens next! I highly recommend this series.

Amazing!! I can see it taking roads to other stories
I am obsessed with this series’! I have read everyone and almost in the first days of release every few months for years it seems now! This is my way of calming my mind and forgetting about my pain for a little. So I escape with the Clan and love every page of it!!

This was a page turner!
This was definitely a page turner! The new plot twist added to this book just gave this series a much needed boost. I was beginning to get bored with the same story line and felt like the series was becoming predictable. Adding a new breed of immortals had me hooked. I can’t wait to read the next one to see what happens next!

Another good read in this series. New characters to fall in love with.
We are learning more about Emmett the cult leader.
Eleanor really put herself out there. Peter considers Eleanor a partner and puts himself in jeopardy.
Leon and Anastasia are getting closer.
No real action. A very smooth ride in this segment.
Looking forward to the next installment.

The bill clinton reference was funny and I am really loving where the story line is going *****SPOILER ALERT***** So far we have had two gods come about and now it seems there is an entirely new breed of immortals out there that are basically the representation of what sissy saw and thought was a dream omg it's getting so interesting!!!

Holy moly
That was intense! It saddens me that these books end so quickly. I just started reading it. Anyhoo, another amazing story! I need to thank I. T. Lucas for mentioning The Sound of Silence by Disturbed. His version is so amazing I bought the song.

The series has a new antagonist which made it much more interesting than the last 10 books or so. No endless angst over transitioning. I think this was as good as the early books.

Another Good Read
I love this series, the characters are always interesting and humour is close.
Can't wait for the next story in this saga, but I sure don't want it to end without a conclusion for all of the characters who've been in all the books. Basically more, more, more.

Leon and Anastasia
This series has become very long and is now more focused on new characters. I put off reading it for a while because of that but I found I enjoyed it and got wrapped up in the book.
This series has become very long and is now more focused on new characters. I put off reading it for a while because of that but I found I enjoyed it and got wrapped up in the book.
