Rate this book
“For too long the Left has tried to silence the Right through a war on words. Understanding their tactics and what we can do about it is crucial. Sam Sorbo lays it all out.” — Sean Spicer, Host of Spicer&Co

In Words for Warriors, with her trademark wit and intelligence, Sam Sorbo shows exactly how radical left-wingers have manipulated language to fit their own socialistic and anti-freedom agenda. Sam Sorbo is on a mission to reclaim today’s hot button/culture war words for all freedom-loving Americans.

After hearing all the hatred spewing from ideologues, mainstream media, social justice warriors, and political hacks, Sam Sorbo was fed “I’m tired of their games, so I’m calling BS on them. It’s time to set the record straight, especially for the folks who are just trying to enjoy the lives the Lord gave them and want a few things explained in easy-to-understand prose.”

Arranged in an accessible “A-Z” glossary style, readers can dip in to discover the real meanings behind the acronyms, words, and phrases that the toxic liberal left loves to force on the rest of us.

From Ad hominem, antifa, and anarchy…To woke, wonk, and zeitgeistMixed with the newly-coined concepts like covidiot, pizzagate, and TERF…

Words for Warriors is a treasure trove of linguistic gymnastics the Democrats and other toxic lefties employ to further their anti-American agenda. Arm yourself with Words for Warriors, and fight back against political correctness that squashes real debate, free speech, and prosperity.

I heard this author, Sam Sorbo, on the Get Off the Bench (Heidi St. John) podcast and really liked her. I love that Sam homeschools her kids and I have always loved her husband on screen. This book was not quite what I expected but I learned a lot and really enjoyed it.

This book is a collection of words and their definitions with done added commentary. My favorite word / commentary in the entire book:

Gun Control: The attempt by the government to disarm the people, rendering them defenseless and easier to control.

“Laws don’t stop gun violence. Law-abiding, responsible citizens with guns stop gun violence.”

I cannot imagine having the tone deaf audacity to quote myself in my own book. Then again, there are no citations or verifiable research to back up Sorbo's talking points so I guess since she's the only source here, it makes sense.

Tired of letting the Socialist Democrats tell people what the meaning of words like altruism, Christianity, conservatism, and humanism mean, and thereby, perverting their truth? Then Sam Sorbo's glossary Words for Warriors will clear up the blurriness and distortion.

The Socialist Democrat's world view is that very Caucasian is a white supremacist and every non-Caucasian is underrepresented, downtrodden, and underprivileged. This twisted view does not apply to the people of the 21st century living on planet Earth, which is why so many people don't relate to the SD's version of the world. And yet, people are forced to subscribe to their view. Sorbo details the frustration people are feeling about having to believe falsehoods as truths.

Although Sorbo confronts the farce that Socialist Democrats have presented, it does not lessen their hold on public opinion, mainstream media, and prevailing government policy. She explains the reversal roles that the SD's have enforced through propaganda, viewing good as evil and evil as good. She expresses the emotions that people are experiencing, forced to accept the opposite of natural law.

Audiences will take away from Sorbo's book a sense of equilibrium. That it is not wrong to reject the world view of Social Democrats and the Woke Mob. Remember their motto -- it is my body, my choice. So too is people's view of the world and of themselves. Sorbo ascribes to the role of coach to audiences, inspiring them and encouraging them to not accept the SD's falsehoods as truth.

This is actually a DNF at 15%.

The reason I am still giving it 2 stars is because I appreciate what Sam Sorbo was trying to do. I can't continue this book though. It's basically like reading a dictionary which is not what I thought I was getting when I pre-ordered this book. Have you ever tried to read a dictionary? It becomes excruciating after a while even though you somewhat enjoy learning what you're reading. Most of the stuff I read in here, I already knew. It's basically taking words that the woke left are redefining and explaining why it's wrong. Or she's defining words or people who the woke left look up to or use all the time and telling you why it's bad...in dictionary format. At 15% I was finally making it out of the B's.

As much as I love the Sorbo's, I just can't with this one.

Other than my personal dislike for having to use hashtags, Sam Sorbo is a brilliant writer who included the hashtags that most categories fell under. This is a fantastic book of truth of our lives in America. As a narrator she brings her sense of humor and passion to make the words live on after they’re spoken. If I had a choice to co-write a book with someone, it would be with someone like Sam. She’s full of fire, fun, and life. She brings a sense of honor to each endeavor she accomplishes. MUST LISTEN/READ THIS BOOK!
This was an audiobook and while I often listen to books at 2x speed to incorporate Sam Sorbo’s personality had to bring it down to 1.3x

I would call this a "dictionary" for our times for words and phrases in common use that may not always be understood in their intended use. A good book to have around but it is coming from the perspective of the right side of politics.

Not a story, but a dictionary of sorts. A lot of fun and quite educational to read through! Highly recommend. Might lead to rabbit trails of further research.

Good book although it wasn't what I expected. Think of it as a political dictionary with some commentary

This was such a good idea from Sam Sorbo. I liked the idea of a dictionary to break it down some things that maybe people new to politics may need to know.
