**Previously published as A Second Chance By Elizabeth Grey**
How soon is too soon to love again?
Ronan Cash should be the luckiest man alive. He’s gorgeous, a billionaire, and a rock star.
Yet since the death of his wife, he couldn’t care less about life. Each long day and each lonely night are painful reminders of what he has lost.
Amy Sinclair is determined to make a name for herself. She won’t let anything get in her way, including a devastating breakup.
When she accepted the job to be Ronan Cash’s head of security, she had thought it would be her big break. If only the rockstar in question wasn't such a pain in the ass.
Forced to spend months on the road together, Amy’s and Ronan’s friction turns into sizzling, sexual tension threatening to incinerate them both. Even scarier than their passion, are the deep feelings blazing underneath.
Is Ronan ready to give his heart away again? And will Amy be able to let him in?

Received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Amy is the head of security that runs security for a famous rock star named Ronan Cash. Ronan makes Amy's job harder as he likes to slip off after shows without telling anyone where he's going. Amy has had enough of it and decides to track Ronan down to drag him back, that is until she finds him at a bar playing in front of a small audience. His passion is very obvious and stirs emotions in Amy that she never knew she had. Will Amy be able to keep things professional between her and Ronan?
This was a good but quick read. I found the author lacked on some details however that didn't affect how much I enjoyed the story. The relationship between Amy and Ronan was cute. I did enjoy Ronan's back story with Di, it made him more of a person then a superstar. I did however not like Amy's relationship with Brian as it found it quite annoying and confusing. Especially how Amy refuses to talk to Ronan before she left. All is well in the end though and the story ends on a good note.
This book is good but I enjoyed the novel I read from the Cowboy series much better.
⭐️⭐️ Two Full Stars 🌍🌍🌍 World Building 👍👍👍 Characters 💕💕 Romance HEA
This is the story of Ronan and Amy who are both haunted with the loss of a significant other for different reasons. Amy’s relationship ended because of differing options and Ronan lost his wife to cancer.
This is a slow burn enemies to lovers slow burn. The story is sort of ho hum. The big missing bit in the story isn’t the connection between the two main characters, but rather with Amy. Amy is the head of Security for Ronan’s band while on tour. The only member of her security team she mentions is Sarah. Also during her interview for Secretary for the Hollywood Bowl, (even though she knows the venue is above her experience level) she points out,
“My speciality is on the ground. One of my team members is well-versed in tech.”
If Grey put a bit of effort in some research regarding security for main events, it would have added some body to Amy’s character, instead of her, being head of security, happy at manning the souvenir stand.
Amy is the head of security for the famous rockstar Ronan Cash. He likes to tease her, she takes him for an asshole. Until he found himself opening up to her about his darkest secret, she took a glimpse at who he really was and that was that. With his soul being wounded and her heart being broken, could they make it!
I loved it. I enjoy this kind of "enemies to lovers" romances.
Though...
I didn't like that it was too short, I didn't like how fast the pace was, and I found it weird how one minute they can't stand each other and then the other minute he's opening up to her about his darkest secret (I would've loved more of the rival/hatered part) and suddenly they're all over each other.
Thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy.
Their Explosive Connection - This was a really enjoyable read, that I couldn’t put down once I started. The complex relationship between Ronan and Amy made the story quite captivating and had me eagerly turning the pages to find out what would happen between them. This is the first book I have read from this author and I am glad I took the chance, as it was well written and very entertaining. I am happy to recommend this book to any avid romance reader, looking for an awesome book.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
A broken heart and a hesitant heart collide in this enemies/irritated to lovers book. I adored Ronan and his brooding rockstar ways and Sinclair was determined, even at the risk of sacrificing her own heart. A quick tour around the US and a little romance round off this shirt romcom adventure. Grab this book and your headphones for an afternoon escape into a rocking little world.
You wouldn't think you could find things to relate to with a rising Rock Star but in this story you do.
I loved watching these 2 come together and find what they have always needed. Ronan was deeply torn over his past but Amy was able to help him heal beautifully
Two people with pasts yo overcome… I loved the realism of this story watching the couple clash and then finally open up to possibilities. The ending was just ok for me- wished for more character interaction than just a HEA overview.
,when I read the Amazon description I was like okay this will be epic.....when I read the book I was like why... Why.....I was disappointed before the end of chapter.. Felt like there were huge chunks taken out.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review *spoilers alert*. Ronan lost the love of his life (Di) to cancer and he's still missing her and getting lost in his memories of wbat they had and their love. Off stage he's just a regular guy with emotion and pain and trying to find his way again without Di. Amy is the head of his security team and the 2 had a rocky start because of a misunderstanding. But when she learns of his loss and starts to see him in a different light, she starts to care for him. The pain of going through a bad break up keeps her from wanting to commit to Ronan as she feels she needs to make her own way rather than to be left with nothing if things don't work out again. Overall I enjoyed the flow, pace, heat and emotion of this story. And you can't help but want to root for the 2 of them to find their HEA

Amy is head of security, working the job she always wanted and dreamed of if only the lead singer wasn't such a pain for her. Both Ronan and Amy have bumped heads from the beginning, neither being able to be around eachother for long. Both secretly dealing with their own pains and problems not knowing how to deal with eachother. Roman needed to get away from the stress and thoughts going through his head, when Amy found him both shared a small moment and now they understand eachother a little more. Ronan needed that someone to talk to , which helped release some of the pain he carried with him. Amy and Ronan started as work relationship who argued often, to friends, to more. This was a good book to read about learning to let go of the past and take a chance on the now that could give you an amazing future.
Ronan is such a broken soul it will break your heart when you read this book. After losing his wife he gave up on love and pours his heart out into his music. When Amy Sinclair, the new head of security, enters his life he is torn. He cares more for her than what he is willing to admit and Amy is just annoyed by his antics. When they finally find a middle ground and he starts to open up towards her her feelings are torn. He falls in love with her but they had an agreement that it will only be sexual with no feelings. However this is not as easy as it seems for both of them.
This is a wonderful book full of heartbreak and finding new love. I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this book.
This is part of the Rock My Heart Series. You'll enjoy Ronan and Amy's story. Both had broken hearts, his from the death of his true love, his soul mate and wife. He had to struggle to carry on while on stage and off he was a disaster. Amy his head of security had her heart broken by her boyfriend. Both were determined not to try love again. But chemistry has a way of taking charge and the heart has a way of mending itself. This was a well written story with strong, well developed characters. The story was emotional and steamy. A good read that I read as an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review.
Ronan struggles to carry on after losing his wife. Amy is part of his security detail and is dealing with a breakup with her boyfriend. When the tour began Ronan was drawn to Amy and they started talking to each other. Its through their pain that they bond and connect. Soon things heat up between them and it becomes something more. But will it be too much too soon for them? Can they move on together?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover
I loved this story, nice novella of second chance at love. Ronan had loved his wife Di and in order to get through his rockstar days he hid in plain sight. Most people saw him as a cold hearted jerk. At least that’s the way Amy saw him. Until the day she discovers his secret and his heart. Now it’s her turn, does she allow herself to let him in or does she walk away and follow her plans for her future, alone. These two people are so alike, it was nice reading how they each dealt with what they felt for each other, which was identical. I loved the ending and I gave this book five stars and I recommend it highly.
A second chance romance different from the others… Ronan and Amy have been through different deceptions and griefs in their lives: he lost his wife; she has ended an unhappy relationship, closing her heart to new love stories and concentrating only on her job. She becomes head of security during Ronan’s tour, since he’s a rock star, so they will be close for a very long period, during which they start opening their heart to each other, even though their fears and their past is still heavy… A very entertaining story and easy reading.
Amy is working security and organisation for Ronan, a rockstar. She's decided she wants to stop travelling around, he's remembering times with his wife, who died of cancer. Amy sees a different side of him at an animal rescue place, where he's rushed after a concert. As she learns more about the real Ronan, she likes him more. The second chance is for both of them, him after his wife's death and her after the breakup of her last relationship.
A good story. I don’t read many contemporary romances that I review but I needed a change of pace and this book sounded interesting. I liked Amy and the chemistry between her and Ronan was most definitely there. The author has given the reader two lost souls and did an outstanding job of portraying them in the story. I am glad I picked the book to download and I am happy to recommend the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and I voluntarily chose to review it.
Amy works in security while Ronan is a musician. They both have a past in dealing with sad relationships. Amy's unsure if she wants to continue with their relationship and he is trying to get over losing his wife. Was uncertain how the story was gonna end but things do turn out well for them.
