Victoria Town is both historic and charming. The town had endured hard times but now it's draws tourists who want to experience all things Victorian as well as the stunning scenery. Viv moved here to help her Aunt Libby with her B&B. What she didn't expect was that she would be finding dead bodies and helping solve murders. It was easy to drawn into the action because this book is a compilation of 3 novellas. I liked that each had a holiday theme - Spring - Halloween - Christmas. Also, I was intrigued by the ghosts that seemed to appear to Viv. Mollie Cox Bryan created interesting characters who I liked. These cozies are filled with twists that keep me reading. The touches of town history added so much. I felt as if I was there with Viv trying to find a killer. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Victoria Town and its residents. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
This is a compilation of three intriguing mystery novellas all in charming Victoria Town. Each story a different time of year with a holiday theme. Dead bodies and murders solved. Plenty of twists to keep you turning the pages as Viv helps to solve the murders.

This “killer” novella series is everything you expect from Ms Bryan. Great plot, interesting characters and a writing that moves the stories along at a nice pace. The Victorian Town mysteries is a set of 3 novellas set in Victoria Town, Virginia where all things Victoriana brings in tourists all year long. Former hacker and unemployed game designer Viv Barton moves into her aunt Libby's B&B to help her, and ends up encountering dead bodies in each story.
In Killer Spring Fling, Viv's daily walk in the local cemetery ends with her finding a young woman lying dead on the ground, with a series of odd objects strewn nearby.
In Masquerade Murder, a Halloween party at a gothic manor ends with Viv being lured by a veiled woman in black to the veranda where she finds the dead body of an infamous priest.
And in Merry Scary Victorian Christmas, the annual tea party at Libby's B&B turns deadly for one woman.
These were charmingly written stories with Viv, Libby and the other townsfolk working with the local police to solve these crimes.

Victoria Town Mysteries by Mollie Cox Bryan contains Killer Spring Fling, Masquerade Murder, and Merry Scary Victorian Christmas. These are the first three books in A Victoria Town Mystery series. These three lighthearted tales allow us to get to know Viv Barton who has moved to Victoria Town, Virginia. Viv lives with her Aunt Libby who owns Sweet Victoria’s Bed and Breakfast. She helps in the B&B and works part-time at Mourning Arts. These three tales each have a mystery that Viv works to solve. I like how the author has developed the characters over the course of the series. I enjoy the direction the author has taken Viv. It suits her natural curiosity, and it utilizes her mad computer skills. Aunt Libby is such a sweet woman. She is a great character with a fabulous bed and breakfast. I love the descriptions of Victoria Town. It reminds me of German Village where I grew up as well as the Victorian town that is nearby. There is also wonderful word imagery of Victorian items such as fans, jewelry, clothing, and furniture. I like the PI we are introduced to in Merry Scary Victorian Christmas. I enjoyed the humor in the stories. I enjoy Mollie Cox Bryan’s writing style. It has an ease to it which makes the stories easy to read and enjoy. Victoria Town Mysteries contains three lighthearted mystery novellas with spring fling fun, a masked murderer, a tragic tea, a poisoned person, a striking sleuth, and copious quantities of cookies.
I enjoyed this compilation of three short stories set in Victoria Town, Virginia. I liked Viv, the main character, who lives and works with her Aunt Libby who owns the Sweet Victoria Bed and Breakfast. I also found the other characters to be interesting. I like the themes that are in each story, a spring fling, a Halloween masquerade party at an old mansion and the Christmas season. Viv is involved in each murder and gets involved is trying to piece things together using her computer skills. All of the descriptions are so detailed that I feel like I can see them myself, especially when Viv visits the chocolate shop for hot chocolate and I can almost taste it. There are a few recipes included, including one for French Hot Chocolate, that I can't wait to try. These are enjoyable short stories.
I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Victoria Town Mysteries Compilation contains 3 novellas by Mollie Cox Bryan.
Vivian (Viv) is a 28-year-old woman helping out at the B&B that her Aunt Libby owns. Viv has a knack for finding bodies in these 3 stories. They are interesting mysteries
It seems strange having a main character that is kind of Gothish and not into Victoriana in a town that is all about the Victorian times. I like Aunt Libby but didn’t connect with Viv.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This collection of quick mystery novellas is perfect for an evening's read. Each stand-alone story features a vibrant town setting, quirky characters, and a cohesive story. I recommend these for fans of the cozy genre and even teens looking for a good start in mysteries.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC for free and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed these novellas. I think they would have been better if they had been edited. However, I am working with the author to fix the edits. Once that gets done, these stories will be sooo much better.
They need to be read in succession as the stories go, she brings back characters from the past stories. So if u read them out of order, it won’t make sense.
I do feel like she could take this series further. I would love to see what Viv decides to do, stay in Victoria Town or start the PI training. Oh and does she start dating Stone? That would be a cute way to further the series. Them opening up their own PI firm!
