Stormy “Breeze” Morgan was living the high life until her dreams came crashing down around her and she lost her book contract. With nothing left to do – and no money in her bank account – she’s forced to return to the family business, a diner in northern Lower Michigan.
Stormy never thought she would have to work with her family again, and it’s just as horrific as she expected. Things only get worse when, after a night of drinking with her cousin, a family Ouija board leads to a burst of magic and Stormy wakes floating over her bed the next morning.
In short order, she finds out it’s not only possible that she’s a witch but also probable, which leads her to the neighboring town of Hemlock Cove to learn from some legendary witches who reside there.
Stormy thought returning to Shadow Hills would be the worst thing that happened to her. She was wrong. Being a witch is fun… as is crossing paths with her first love Hunter Ryan. If only she could keep herself out of trouble. The mounting body count in Shadow Hills keeps her on the edge of adventure, though… and danger is never far behind.
This three-book omnibus includes the first three books in the Two Broomsticks Gas & Grill series: Sinfully Delicious, Caffeinated Calamity, and A Little Slice of Death.
When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail. Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.
Well, it was really an audible audio edition, but… It was fun; junk food for the brain as all cozy mysteries really are… I actually start of the first two books in the volume a while ago, but I didn't record and totally forgot. It was kind of fun to go back and finish the last book today.
This is a fun new series. New characters new author and narrator. I like Stormy and Hunter. Some things are obvious the relationship between them but the mysteries are pretty good. I have come to the conclusion I am horrible at guessing the bad guy. Although the last one I did figure out who it was just not why.
I love Sebastian and Stormy together. They are hilarious together. He talks her into so many bad things. I wonder why Stormy is constantly running into the 2 people that hate her the most. It’s funny and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Lots of fun interactions, some with the Winchesters and Terry. Lots of entertaining bits between Story's grandmother and great grandmother. Phoebe is still harping on the parking lot lines. Stormy finds out something about her at the end of the book but there was no mention of legal repercussions. Entertaining read and wow that ending.
Fun characters, an interesting story, great nemesis for Stormy, and best of all the Winchester’s pop up quite a bit. Still not sure what the go is with Stormy’s mother (and her father is m.i.a so far). The final scene pf book three introduces quite the twist, and I’m off to binge the next omnibus (books 4-6) to see how that all shakes out.
Stormy is getting used to being a witch and officially dating Hunter. But a dream of a murder stirs the pot and Stormy needs all her wits along with advice from her great grandmother on how to harness her power while helping solve a murder…
Amanda M. Lee can make me cry in once chapter, the next, I’m rolling on the floor laughing like a hyena! Kranle has to be the most hilarious “cat” that has never existed! I can’t wait to read book 4 to get to where I started this series on book 5 by accident!
The motion is definitively in the potion. This is a cute story that seems to just keep on giving. Again this author does not fail to keep you guessing. Such a fun read.
An excellent omnibus of the first three books about Stormy and her first forays into witchcraft. With some appearances by the amazing Winchester witches.
I really like this series the heroine is semi smart but very whinny lack confidence in herself please fix her. Intelligent and confident makes a very good heroine.
Hated putting it down. Couldn’t wait to start reading again. Good story that kept me interested all the way through. I loved the links to the Winchesters
Excellent story line with surprises and interesting characters. The three books were a delight and gave me some good laughs. I definitely want to read more in this series.
