We’re so screwed. My father is ramping up the danger and trying to win a game we can’t afford to lose. The Feral Beasts have taken over Charles Donahue’s business and put a bounty out on two of my guys. I never dreamed making it to graduation and getting out of this corrupted town would seem this impossible. But I have my four guys by my side, finally, and we’re going to put up a fight.
It’s a fight for survival. Trust each other.
***This book is a reverse harem, meaning the FMC will have three or more love interests. The book also has trigger warnings for emotional/physical bullying and abuse, violent scenes, reference to suicide and mature content/swearing, so please do not read if you are easily offended or have the mentioned triggers. This book is intended for 18+
My name is Rachel. I live in the UK with my husband and two golden retrievers, and I am an author of dark, contemporary reverse harem romance.
If you love a story with a well thought out plot and good character development that will give you all the feels, then why not give one of my series a go?
Okay this baby right here I have been dying for and let me tell you R.A. Smyth did not disappoint to say the least… Hell no she brough it and then some. One Family by far takes the cake for me of the 3 books, she is super thicc and hella spicy (lets go hot tub)! Don’t get me wrong books 1 & 2 are spicy AF but One Family brings all the goodness… This one was non stop right from the get go and let me tell you the drama didn’t stop. Sophie for me was at times a hot mess express but I loved her all the same. She had to go through it this time around and let me tell you there were some scenes that gutted me but Sophie is a fighter and all she wants to do is keep her guys safe and protected and tries to do that on her own and on her terms but everyone knows you work better as one unit and not as individuals and that goes for the guys as well. They did everything in their power to keep everything far away from Sophie as they could but everything always went south until they got their ish together and started working as a FAMILY!!! The growth of the relationships between Sophie and the guys as well as the guys with each other was fantastic to see over the course of the 3 books. Coming from different backgrounds and realizing that they have more in common then they originally thought. I am super sad that this is the finale but I am really hoping to get to see more from these characters in the future because I love them so much… R.A. Smyth was a new author to me when I happened across One Division and I am so glad that I found her and she has a fan for life. I will be reading and recommending everything she creates!!! Hands Down MUST READ!!!!
Ok, hear me out, this book is thiccccccc... so block out some time to read! Not only is it a thick one, it’s also a spicy one 🔥🔥🔥
Everything is just MORE in this book. It all ramps up and kicks off, but in the best kind of ways. It’s everything you could want or need in a finale of the series.
“It was there and then, in an unremarkable hallway, in a fancy as fuck prep school where neither of us belong, that this incredible, feisty, sinful woman with the hottest accent brought me to my fucking knees. In that moment, she made me hers. I found my purpose. My reason for living.” - Aiden, One Family
If I had to pick a favourite guy... Aiden. Because broody is clearly my thing (as opposed to the grumpy one I ended up marrying, there is definitely a difference). But although he might be my number one, the other 3 guys are close. I love the way that the duo’s are from different backgrounds but really, they just prove that that doesn’t define you. They are more similar then they originally think and end up forming an unbreakable bond, sure it was brought together by Sophie, but they find their own way together.
Sophie.. man did she infuriate me at times. I do believe I called her a swear word at one point. BUT infuriated aside, she is strong and overcomes things thrown her way (when she’s not causing the bloody things herself).
For me R.A. has come out of no where and smashed her way into author-hood. She’s just firing the books out and they always have brilliant content and storytelling. This is the third and final book in the Crescentwood series and I just don’t think I was as ready as I thought, for it to end.
The first two books were fast-paced, thrilling and full of steamy and romantic scenes – this one doesn’t let up either! I’m impressed by the author’s ability to create such engaging, distinct characters and maintain the tension of the book throughout, while still somehow having time for sweet romance and hot, steamy moments. The conclusion was so pleasant – it was nice to see these characters, who’d suffered so much, finally find peace. Don’t assume it was easy getting there though – there were a few chapters where the author masterfully played with my heart, making me doubt that always-present HEA in romance. If you’re a fan of reverse harem, fast-paced stories and unforgettable characters, you will love One Family and the two other books in the Crescentwood series. Thank you, R.A. Smyth, for the complimentary early copy.
One Family picks up where Two Forces ended, bringing the Crescentwood series to a devastating finale.
Devastating, because it’s the end; devastating, because your heart and soul will be taken for a ride.
The story focuses very much on the relationships that have budded between Sophie and her four boys, taking the reader on an emotional rollercoaster. Any inhibitions any of they may have had at the start have quickly eviscerated, much to the reader’s delight and hotter than hot reading.
While the relationships and the group dynamic is well established and exhilarating to read, the dark side of the story is far from over. With more than one imminent threat hanging over the lives of our much adored protagonists, the buildup to the conclusion has us on the edge of our seat with uncertainty of who, and if any, will survive. The characters have developed, grown and matured quickly due to circumstance, yet been delicately narrated in a believable arc and in a style that has us praying for their redemption.
If you haven’t read Three Divisions and Two Forces yet, I would thoroughly recommend to read the three in one epic swoop. As a series, it benefits the story to read the three books consecutively in quick succession. One Family dives straight in, with the reader being thrown into heated erotic scenes from the start, perhaps unexpectedly soon when jumping in after a break between books. But reviewing the story as a whole series rather than the individual book, the intensity and the intimacy between the characters feels warranted and justified. The emotions woven in and between the narratives is what makes for a fantastic crescendo towards the inevitably wrecking conclusion.
I am thoroughly impressed by the Crescentwood series, especially being a debut by R.A. Smyth and can attest to the sizeable length of this epic journey being worth the while. I can’t wait to follow and read more from this talented author.
Steamy/Hot/Pageturner/Action packed/ Intriguing /Unpredictable/Hot hot and more hot
What a way to start the book. We start the book with a boom and that get more and more intense on every page you turn. I didn't wanted to put it down I got me wanting to stop everything and just read.
I loved that every relationdship progressed at their own pace nothing was force or rushed. The guys get to interact with each other more since they are living together. They all form a family where they love and appreciate each other. They are very mature about the arragement with Sophie and they all know that the main focus is keeping Sophie save and happy. I loved that Sophie included Ty and Aiden on making the desition of letting Preston and Barrette be included in their relationship that was amazing that they were included in that. That shows how mature she is and how much she loves them.
I was so fucking happy when all of the one percenter started to pay for what they have done also their kids. The feeling was so good that everything was falling into place and that all of the ilicit thing were revealed.
The build up of this book was amazing since book one till book three every progrecess bit by bit not rushing and that gets you intrigued on whats going to happen next.
God Kurt gave me so much anxiety that I wanted to jump inside the book and kill him.
Sophie went trough a lot in this book and OMG I did cry a lot with this book. I did feel every emotion she was feeling it was so relatable that ugh I was crying and crying with her.
Can we talk about all of the unpredictable things that happen in this book Like WTF I had my heart pumping so hard that at some point I was thinking that I was about to die. YEAH like a Drama Queen LOL
I want a friend like Mia she is so funny.
With this book I was in a rollercoaster of emotions first I was anxious to start reading once I started I didn't wanted to continue because I didn't wanted the book to end but when I decided to continue I laugh, cry, cry and cry and then I was mad and then Crying again. This book was hard to read I conected with Sophie in a deep level and everything that she went trough in this book I feel it. Every emotion every trauma every panic attac everything. And it was hard and sad but at the same time it was amazing. When a Author write something so good that you conect with it is awesome and is right there that you know that the Author is amazing. I love how each one of them put her pieces together so that she could get out of the dark place that she was in her mind.
Overall the book was AMAZING perfect ending all of it was so good. Every dialogue was so well written that It blew my mind.
"I'll always be here to put you back together" 🖤Barrett
Is going to be so hard to day goodbye to The Fuckable Five 😭
R.A. Smyth You did amazing with this books AMAZING I have read book where book 1 is really good and book two not so much. But this books gets better and better honestly I can't wait to see what you write next.
Like I said in my reviews for the previous books, I still can't believe this was a debut series; they are one of the best RH books I've read in a while. I've been gripped by this series all the way through.
R.A. Smyth nailed it once again, I've been on edge the entire time with this series wondering what will happen next, and this book was no different; it got me reading page after page. It was dark, steamy, action-packed, intriguing, full of feelings, and it took me through a beautiful rollercoaster of emotions.
Sophie is back with her guys and stronger than when she first arrived in Crestcentwood; we see more of the relationship she has developed with each one of them, a lot has happened already, but they still have to find a way to get rid of Kirk & The Feral Beasts, and The one-percenters. Sophie goes through a lot in this book, she has a lot of beautiful moments with her guys, but she will also have to endure a lot of pain during her journey to get rid of her dad.
Barret, he's still the sweetest out of the four of them; his relationship with Sophie was the slowest, but they finally got the relationship they wanted from the very beginning.
Preston is finally learning that showing his emotions is not bad, and he finally shows Sophie how much she means to him; he's still one of the more protective out of the four.
Ty keeps being the goofiest one, and he always knows how to put a smile on Sophie's face no matter how bad the situation is.
Aiden is as broody as he was at the beginning, there's only one person that gets to see his other side, and that's Sophie.
I loved seeing the development of the guys individually as a person, as well as for the sake of their relationship with Sophie; they learned to be around each other even though it's something they would of never imagine. Barret & Ty are more similar than they think, and the same goes for Preston & Aiden.
Sophie's development was major as well; there's nothing left of the girl that arrived in Crestcentwood with no clue of what life hold for her; she loves each one of the guys equally, but she has something special with each one of them, and they are all able to complement each other like no other.
This book was the one that kept me on edge for the longest time, even more than the first two; all the suspense got me turning page after page, and it was the one with more emotions out of the 3, I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love with the characters all over again. This book gave the series an epic and well-deserved ending, I'm really sad to see them go, but I can't wait to see what R.A. Smyth will bring next.
I totally recommend this dark and twisted RH series, but the trigger warnings are serious; there's sexual, physical, and emotional abuse (not by any of the main love interest), but if you like dark romance, then this will blow you away.
I really enjoyed One Family the conclusion to the Crescentwood Trilogy. I really enjoyed this Trilogy overall and definitely recommend it. This is a reverse harem trilogy with enemies to lovers themes and a little bit of mild bullying in the first book in the highschool. As well as romance with members of a gang. With multiple POVs.
One Family picks up right where the last book left off. We do find out in the prologue how their cover was blown through a different POV. Then we pick up the story and from there it keeps going. It's the last book so everything's out now and they are dealing with a lot frol the fmc's evil father, crazy obsessed guys to further exploreing and solidifying their relationship. This book gives us lots of story and what we want out of the series while also doing a great job of wrapping it up.
I really like the length. I thought this was the perfect length giving us story and conclusion wrap up, it's length allowing the final book not to feel rushed. I really enjoyed this conclusion to the series overall and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
What a conclusion to Sophie's story!! There was so much suspense, tension and angst in this story, it was impossible to put it down! What i loved about this book was how the relationship and emotions progressed between Sophie and her guys, Barrett, Preston, Ty and Aiden! I just loved how possessive and protective they became of her. Sophie was a strong and impulsive character but was still vulnerable to her own insecurities, i loved how she opened herself up to the guys and how she trusted them to keep her safe. As for the guys themselves, well it was impossible to pick between them, Preston and Aiden where definitely the alpha's, Ty was the humorous funny one and Barrett the caring and more sensitive of the group.
This is a dark RH romance, with lots of violence, intense chemistry and steamy sex scenes, i just loved everything about it but most of all i loved how these characters grew together and how they quite literally became......one family!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Stephannie's 5 Star Review: One Family is the last book in the Crescentwood Series. This one picks up where Two Forces ended. In this last book, there is more about the budding relationships between each of the guys and Sophie and the guys themselves forming a friendship of sorts but there is also ALOT of drama to get to that ending.
There is so much going on to first keep themselves safe and fight the dark enemy of Crescentwood. There are twists and turns and a lot of freak-out moments hoping for some type of HEA for this group. There are also erotic scenes between Sophie and the guys.
If you haven’t read Three Divisions and Two Forces yet, that is the place to start. This is a series and each book builds to the story. I really enjoyed this series. I like my reading dark sometimes and this one fits the bill. This series is the first time I am finding RA Smyth and I can't wait to see what is next. ***This book is a reverse harem, meaning the FMC will have three or more love interests. The book also has trigger warnings for emotional/physical bullying and abuse, violent scenes, reference to suicide and mature content/swearing, so please do not read if you are easily offended or have the mentioned triggers. This book is intended for 18+
In the final book of this trilogy we get the heart- pounding, kindle throwing, conclusion to Sophie and her boys story! Can they take down the 6 richest families in America, a dangerous gang, and psycho serial killer who wants her?
This book honestly broke me (and possibly the kindle). It tore me apart and then stitched me back together, though like Sophie- I’m not so sure the jagged pieces fit together nicely. This story will stay with my for a long time. These boys are what both dreams and nightmares are made of! Sophie is so strong, she is an inspiration to every female! And the things that they survive to get their happy ending will have you saying WTF?!?
The trigger warnings are serious on this book- but if you like dark romance this will blow you away! This whole series is a must read! It’s dark, twisted and wonderful! From the very beginning you will be unable to put it down! I highly recommend reading this!
Went from Three Divisions, to Two Forces and finished the series off with One Family. R.A Smyth has not failed me. Im probably going to sound like I've been repeating myself in each of my reviews on the Crescentwood series, BUTTTTTTTT, I was not expecting this book to be better than the ones before. To see how the characters have changed and evolved over time has been amazing considering each and every one of them have grown so much.
In this book we saw how Sophie, Aiden, Ty, Preston and Barrett got closer and begin to come up with a plan to take their families down. It wasnt going to be easy but with inside help from Oliver (who btw I cant wait for him to have a book of his own) they were determined to finish their fathers off for good.
It wasnt easy but with all of them focused they were able to get the job done (or were they? Is kirk still alive out there somewhere). Some ended up hurt and even in prison. But when its all said and done and in the words of Oliver "Im more freer than I've ever been"!
Smyth finished out the series strong with more action, danger, and sex than before. The group has solidified themselves as a couple and with that, the intimacy of the love scenes is ramped up. This is definitely an adult-themed series and readers should be very much aware of that before delving in. The book is HOT! Perfect ending for the series. I personally enjoyed that this book seemed to showcase the relationships with each of the guys and Sophie. There is a distinction in each man's personality and their particular relationship with Sophie and what they mean to her. That being said, my favorite relationship is still with Preston. Again I recommend these books to anyone who loves some smut, steam, and Reverse Harem. Be warned, the book is very twisted and dark and there are trigger warnings for abuse, sexual, physical, and emotional (but don't worry, not by the main love interests, those guys are sex on a cracker)
What an amazing ending to an epic series! This book was just as dark and brutal as the others, with twists and turns you won’t see coming and all the hot, steamy scenes you crave. Picking up right where the previous book left off, this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, dying to know what was going to happen next but equally nervous to find out what was coming. I love how fierce and protective the guys were of Sophie, but I also love how strong and independent Sophie was, never backing down and always fighting to do what she felt was right or what needed to be done. Although I’m sad that the series is now finished, I’m so incredibly happy with the way it ended. It was emotional, intense, unpredictable, and pretty freaking perfect!
If I’m being honest I wasn’t too sure about this series when I first picked it up.I made assumptions about it and I’m so happy to be wrong about it. Book one had a couple of flaws but not enough to get me to not continue. Fast forward to book three and I’m blown away. This is not what you expect for a debut series. The character development is brilliant and the story kept me captivated. This book had me on the edge of my seat. There were some definite surprises and things definitely got a little bit intense for a while. But once again Sophie showed us the character strength we love in a leading lady. I love the guys and that they’re quite opposite in both looks and personality but they all have one same goal, keeping Sophie safe and theirs.
This is the final instalment of the crescentwood series and my god it did not let me down! This book kicks off where the 2nd one finished and Sophie and her guys have to fight for there lives literally. Things take a sinister turn with Kurt which I wasn't expecting but Sophie really stepped up and showed how strong she was and how she overcame that. When it came to the final show down with kirk my heart was in my mouth the whole time wondering what I was going to read next.
Overall this book and series is one of my top 5 series and I can not wait to get my hands on the paperbacks. Well done r.a Smyth I hope you do more books
This series has slayed me! The character growth throughout has been amazing to watch unfold and it just wouldn't be right without any one of them.
I admit this book was bit hard to stay focused, I found there was a bit to much sexy time for me, I felt like it didn't really go with the plot at times but just put in due to the lack of it in the first 2 books. Saying that they were really hot to read!
That ending, oh wow, never saw it coming and constantly found myself on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened next. I found myself screaming at my Kindle "No! Not after everything thats gone down, no way!"
This was such a good ending to a great series! I’m super sad to be saying goodbye to the Fuckable Five 😂🖤
This final book was jammed pack with so much action, it was terribly hard to put it down and not try and read straight through. I feel like each character got closure they needed from their families and in turn built their own family of choice.
The banter between Sophie’s guys is hilarious. I loved how much alike Preston and Aiden are, and Ty and Barrett are. It made their relationships with each other so much more fun.
Loved this series. Just had a few issues with this last book. Why in the heck do they keep insisting on going to school when so many people want to kill or kidnap them. I mean really I know a an education is a great thing but not if your dead. Why the heck did Ty let her go to the bathroom by herself? Even I could see that coming from a mile away. What the heck happened to the butler? Why the heck did she get mad at the guys for keeping things from her and then she literally sneaks out for almost certain death. But I still loved it and the writing was great!

we pick up where book 2 ends and you are in for an amazing journey. From the very start you are drawn into Sophie's and her guys world which is full of steamy hot scenes, suspension, tension and so many twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat right up to the end. This is a well written book with a great plotline which just flows off the pages. R.A is a fantastic writer and I just love her writing style. She has written the perfect ending for this series.
I’m sad it’s over 😩 but damn, what a way to go! I’m going to miss kick ass Sophie and her harem of brooding, kind, protective and sexy men.
This final book is quite the rollercoaster ride of emotions. Did I message Rachel and scream, curse and tell her I hate her? Yes, I did. Do I regret it? No, I don’t. She deserved it for toying with my heart 😂
But I’m very happy with how everything ended, it wasn’t an easy ride but it was well worth the journey.
What an epic ride!!! One Family was such an amazing conclusion to this exciting series. It pulled all the stops. From the amazing writing and how smoothly the plot flew from the beginning to the end. The characters so real and engaging!!! Loved, loved Barrett and Ty!! I literally devoured this book in a few hours. I just cannot wait to see what the author has in store for us next!! R A Smyth you literally blew me away!!!
I have thought about how this last book in the series would go but damn it beat all my expectations. This book has many many sexy scenes along with a better understanding of the group as a whole. There were a couple of plot twists I didn’t see coming so be warned and have the tissues ready. I truly enjoyed the ending of this series but I am sad to see it over.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
One Family was the absolute perfect conclusion to the Crestwood trilogy! Wow the steamy scenes were off the charts in this book, I’m super jealous of Sophie 🤣. I think this book was perfectly named because this storyline is all about the effable five coming together as a family and fighting for what they want. When we start the book we know that the group needs to somehow fight the Feral Beasts, take down Kirk and get rid of Kurt. All of these things seem insurmountable for the 5 of the them to face on their own and they have one hell of a journey to get where they want to be. Oliver still plays a pivotal role in this book, I am totally shipping Oliver and Mia together even though I’m not sure they’ve even met lol. How cute would they be though?? I love Sophie and the growth she’s shown throughout this series, she deserves all the love she gets from her men. And the men themselves wowwwww I don’t know if I could possibly pick a favorite. They’ve all proven themselves to both Sophie and to each other. Job well done on this book and this series, it’s one of my new faves!
Amazing!!! Just finished the third and final book in the trilogy and it was everything... Finally Kirk and Kurt and The Feral Beasts were taken care of, Oliver was their saving grace and they got their own new lives. I can't wait to read Oliver's story and I'm sad he ended up in jail but what a story and pull on the heartstrings. Loved this book and the entire trilogy definitely recommend it!!

The story continues for Sophie and her men. Their relationship is explored and blossoms despite the hardship that they face. Dealing with Kurt and Kurt, the remaining elites and a motorcycle club leads to violence and loses but in the end....well you just have to read the book to find out how it ends!😀
I was a bit skeptical at first and was worried that the character development of the guys wasn’t going to be there but this book gave me all I needed. The character development really came out and we got to see who the guys really were. Yet again Sophie is pushed to new lows but somehow is able to pull through with the guys at her back. This book has action, sex, and love. It was a great read and I was surprised it was the author’s debut series!
I was hooked on these characters from the beginning. All the truths coming out, the twists, everything. Each character has their own very different personality, and I loved how it meshed with the others in the group. The heat is high, I need new panties, and now im sad but satisfied because its over. Highly recommend this series!
I've loved this series from the very start and as I final book this doesn't disappoint. R.A listened to our cry's of more more more and delivers on every front.
More violence, more blood, more drama, more feelings, more love and oh god the steam. So much more steam!!
I love the way the relationships have developed over time. Especially as unlike many RH the guys didn't all know each other and actually are worlds apart. Sophie may have brought them together but it's their desire to make her happy that keeps them working and I really enjoyed seeing them learn to accept each others faults and embrace the family they built together. Preston was my shining star, the scene with the piano especially. My heart was breaking for all of them at the end.
I'm sad this is the end but I cant wait to see what R.A Smyth has in store for us next
I am so shocked this was the author’s first series! I loved it! I laughed and I cried and I love the characters so much! I love how the story wrapped up and I can not wait until we get Oliver’s story!
There are series that readers will always come back to. Maybe in a couple of weeks, months, or years and this is one of those series. This series help pull me out of a book funk, and I loved it so much!
