Edge Of Fear

Rate this book
Ink and sawdust meets brisket and moxie.

I’m a tattooed casualty.
A charmer, a fraud, a skeptic, and a carpenter.

My name is Tse.
I’m cocky enough to believe my own lies, but too oblivious to see the truth is already out there.

I’m a cautious perfectionist.
A sister, a scrapper, a dreamer, and a workhorse.

My name is Sophia.
I’m capable enough to plan ahead, yet too powerless to avoid getting blindsided.

We’re complete opposites—one who plays it safe, the other a thrill-seeker—but when old sins resurface bringing violence to the present, our path forward becomes clear.

Tse and Sophia 💕 Another awesome couple in the Arrow's Edge series!

Tse is that bad boy, player with the ability too charm the ladies. He's had a rough past and he keeps his interaction with woman superficial. That is until the pull of Sophia shakes things up for him.

I loved what we learned of Sophia in the previous book. She was a loyal friend and an all around good person. I really like her for Tse, and I very, much enjoyed their dancing around the attraction.

What can I say? This series is one of my favorites by Freya Barker. I've always enjoyed a cleaner version of an MC series where you don't have to worry about the club woman.

I like a bad boy biker with a good heart who takes care of his woman and that's exactly what you get from Tse and the rest of the guys in this series. Great book!

This was such a great read!!!

It’s a hard call to make, but Tse and Sophia have become my new favorite couple by this author. Not only did I love them individually, but I adored watching them work together as a new couple. Although they faced similar things other new couples often do, they struggled with some pretty extreme issues as well.

I loved the way Tse was careful to yield to Sophia’s need to feel in control, even when every alpha molecule in his body wanted to take charge. He was perfect at maintaining who he was at heart with what she needed and I fell head over heels in love with him.

I adored the way this hero and heroine acted in a mature manner. That doesn’t mean they didn’t make mistakes or say the wrong thing sometimes, but they always came back around and quickly corrected it so the problem was dealt with and they could continue onwards.

description

This book was filled with drama that stemmed from not only their relationship development, but from the danger that lurked throughout the story. Add an inferno heat level, as well as characters we’ve fallen in love with previously, and this had everything I look for in an incredible afternoon read.

It felt like I was waiting forever for Tse's book. I just knew he and Sophia's story was going to be epic. Freya has a way of always making each story fresh and like nothing I have read before.
These characters each had such history and internal demons to battle and I loved the journey they took to find their way to each other.
Tse is so much more than he even gives himself credit for and he tries to fight what he feels for Sophia. The care and respect he shows her just made me swoon. I just loved Sophia and the challenges she brought to Tse's world.
This book had not just the feels, but lots of action, suspense, some twists and turns that had me turning the pages and I couldn't put it down.

By now it's clear to anyone who knows me that I have an endless love for Freya Barker's writing. She never fails in making the world around me disappear as I fall into the magic of one of her books, and Edge of Fear is another in a long list that utterly captivated me. I adore how her couples are always a great example of healthy relationships in romance.
Even in all his Alpha ways, Tse not only loved Sophia, he respected her. Even at his most protective and stressed he stops to listen and actually honor Sophia's opinions and feelings. If that doesn't bring out all the swoon for you, I don't know what will. Of course it's a nice, lovely, drool worthy bonus the man is hot...and hot in a way that makes him feel like an actual human. Then there's Sophia who, like every leading lady I've ever read from Freya, is someone I genuinely wish was real because I'd love to be her friend. She's down to earth, smart, independent, and completely relatable.
These two together not only have chemistry that sends sparks flying off the pages, but a connection that makes you fall just as hard for them as a couple as they do for each other. All of that romance is paired beautifully with suspense in a story that keeps you on edge while stealing your heart!

Freya Barker is the queen of rich, mature romance. Period. Add to that Tse....sssaahhhwwwooonnn. She never wastes a word, and never fails to draw complicated, real characters-all the while constructing stories that keep you up until the last page.

Tse and Sophia are my favorite kind of couple- superficially they don’t match, but Ms Barker develops them with such finesse that they become made for each other.

I would read anything she wrote, because everything she writes is superb.

Here we are moving into book 4 of the Arrow's Edge MC Series and each book gets a little better. These books can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you make your way through the series. Tse and Sophia have been seen on and off through the other books and you will get to see a little bit of the dance they have been doing around each other.

Tse truly feels he is in his best space here with the Arrow's Edge. They gave him a home, helped to show him what family should be like, though many don't know all of his backstory. He is a player, keeping women and relationships at arms length. Always doing his share to help the club and his brothers, loyalty is there. But Sophia has caught his attention and has him wondering and digging deep in his soul, could it be time to make that kind of connection his brothers have?

Sophia is looking for a fresh start away from Denver, away from the ex who controlled her every move. Where better than near her besties family, it helps her feel close to her even though she is gone. In her work to rebuild herself she has put up many walls and not many can get in. She sees the turmoil she causes between Tse & Wapi, and wants nothing to do with any of it. But when she is alone, she spends some time thinking about what if's with the man who hides behind the persona.

As Freya weaves her tale, filled with suspense detail, she sneaks in a story of two guarded souls that slowly let the demons out of the box, sharing the fears that hold them back. She will have you guessing the who done its, while cheering on love and hoping for happy endings all around.

I love the family of the Arrow's Edge MC, I love the work they do with the children to help provided them with a new look on life. She draws my heart in all the time with the kids. I can't wait for more from the bad boy bikers and their strong sassy women.

With every book this author writes, I fall more and more in love with her writing! Edge of Fear is the fourth book in the Arrow's Edge MC series and Tse and Sophia's story had me COMPLETELY CAPTIVATED from the first paragraph to the last word! Ms. Barker's style is unlike any other. She is truly a masterful wordsmith, her words wrapping around your heart and entwining in your soul....you FEEL it all!

First, I have to say that Tse and Sophia have become my FAVE Freya Barker couple, overtaking Ouray and Luna from Hwy 550 in the Rock Point series! I just fell completely in love with both of these characters...especially Tse, who had me alternately swooning and crying (the first because even though Tse is essentially an over-protective Alpha, he also understood Sophia's need to be an independent woman capable of making her own decisions. The second for his heartbreaking back story! I shed tears of sorrow and anger at times over the things he had suffered through and was made to endure!) As for Sophia, her past relationships, especially the last one, have hardened her outer shell and made her reluctant to even attempt another. She's drawn to the chemistry and feels the attraction to Tse but she's afraid to take a leap of faith, especially considering what she knows about Tse's playboy ways! Tse had his work cut out for him trying to win Sophia over, but it was so much fun watching it all unfold.

Edge of Fear is full of Ms. Barker's signature suspenseful twists and turns, a few I saw coming....and a few others that totally took me by surprise! I am completely enamored with the Arrow's Edge MC family and with every book I read, it's become one of my all-time favourite series! I can't WAIT for the next one!

Loved It!!

This is my first time reading this author and I have to say that I will be one clicking her MC books from here on out. I loved Tse with all of his secrets because even with his horrendous childhood he showed great compassion to those he loved. Sophia is a survivor and appreciates people that she surrounds herself with. Ravi is another character who affected me deeply. He was a broken boy that both Tse and Sophia took on to their lives and tried to help.

This story just wouldn't let me put it down because it captured me from the start and kept me on the edge out my seat all the way through. There are so many twists and turns along with revenge from someone I suspect until the end. The chemistry between Tse and Sophia was pretty hot too. I'd definitely recommend this book and I wait to go back and read the rest out the books on this series.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My new favorite book and couple in this series! Love Sophia and Tse very much.
Sophia was a strong character who is very independent and needs control.
Love Tse!! In the previous books he was a playboy and a charming man. But he had a very difficult childhood and my heart broke for him.
The storyline and the little issues the couple had in their relationship was very good written.
I think next will be Paco and Mel’s book? Can’t wait for that.

This is the story of Tse and Sophia. Tse is a bad boy with the ability to charm any woman that he really wants to charm. This poor guy has had a rough past and it really broke my heart from him and I think that's when I fell for him. However no matter how much charm he has it never last long with these women until Sophia comes along and the pull is to strong to ignore. Sophia is a really great person. She is loving and loyal and has some great friendship and the polar opposite of Tse. I think she was really good from him but he was equally as good for her. These two have quiet the story to tell and I loved reading thing book just like you will.

Edge of Fear by Freya Barker
Arrow’s Edge MC #4

Me, oh my…what a delightful way to spend the evening…and into the wee hours of the morning. I was up till 2am because I could NOT put this book down! I was invested in the outcome and had to find out what would happen…and well worth the limited sleep this book definitely was!

What I liked:
* Sophie: strong, smart, professional, dedicated, cautious, big-hearted, believes she wants stability and predictability, someone I would love to have as a friend.
* Tse: personable, charming, a lover, foot-loose, dedicated to his MC, good with his hands, protective, tough childhood, HOT, great book boyfriend, someone I would love to have at my side.
* Ravi: fourteen, one of the boys the MC has guardianship of, bad past, needs the support and love he begins to find
* Van Gogh: a battered dog that becomes important to more than one in the story
* Getting to see characters from past books
* The way the relationship between Sophie and Tse develops and how supportive they were of one another.
* Sophie’s family – her parents made me smile more than once
* How the issue at the restaurant is woven into and through the story
* The crime aspect that is dealt with
* That I cared and was invested in the characters and outcome
* All of it really except…

What I didn’t like:
* The bad guys…was happy they got their comeuppance

Did I like this book? Definitely!
Would I read more in this series/by this author? As soon as possible!

Thank you to the author for the ARC – this is my honest review.

Edge of Fear is the latest addition to the Arrow's Edge series and Tse has definitely made my list of favorite book boyfriends. Freya Barker writes believable stories about older MCs and their romances are so real, I believe they could happen to me. I love that her characters make me feel like it's never too late to write your own love story.

Edge of Fear is full of Ms. Barker's signature suspenseful twists and turns, a few I saw coming....and a few others that totally took me by surprise! I am completely enamored with the Arrow's Edge MC family and with every book I read, it's become one of my all-time favourite series!

"It's never about the destination, it's about the ride."

Freya Barker connects series of books that can be read stand-alone, but tempt you into reading all of them. This book, Number 4, is Tse (pronounced "T-say") and Sophia's story. Both characters were previously introduced in the Arrow's Edge MC world, but their connection is concisely told as they move forward here.

Sophia, the friend of an AE daughter and dissatisfied with her life in Denver, moves to Durango to be the manager of a new AE restaurant. Attracted to Sophia, Tse feels she will cause a rift in the MC as both he and his brother, Wapi, have come to near blows over her. Tse is almost 10 years older than Sophia, and Wapi almost 10 years younger. Off at a Habitat For Humanity build for a month when she arrived, his president tells him "to piss or get off the pot" because the tug-of-war is a drain on the club. Since Tse can't stand the thought of another man getting close to Sophia, he mans up.

In the meantime, Sophia has been rebuffing both men. Six years out of a relationship it took six months to escape, she has a lot on her plate. New town, a new job with new headaches, a new home search, and then a new and dangerous situation when an employee is viciously attacked. Tse amps into a protective mode, and the clashes begin. They tentatively agree to realize he is going to be protective and she is going to be defensive. Tse, Navajo for "rock", becomes an anchor as they begin their ride while trying to solve the mystery surrounding the restaurant. Along the way and among other things, they deal with a troubled teen, a damaged dog, and a crazy meeting of Sophia's parents.

As always, Freya skillfully weaves a tapestry of a novel that draws you into the story page by page combining action, heat, and humor. The men and women of Arrow's Edge are all about "the power to make a difference, the protection of the innocence, (and) the strength to stay the course". My greatest compliment to an author? I read this as an ARC and can't wait to buy my copy to read and re-read.

Another suspenseful Arrow's Edge adventure

If you are picking up a Freya Barker book for the first time I seriously doubt it will be the last. Let's put it this way, this author writes about couples of a certain age who have found each other against standard odds. They wrestle with their own self-doubts only to add the dynamic of a new relationship.
In this book Sophia and Tse traverse the rocky terrain of green relationships. Their personalities, on first glance clash but those things that cause the most sparks are actually what make them stronger as a couple.
This writer doesn't take the easy route in writing stories about imperfect people, she barrels through fearlessly to create dynamic, 3-dimensional characters.
On a very personal note, I want to thank Freya Barker for consistently writing about people in the real world, not wonder bread characters who just change names from one book to the next. Her universe is diverse. Ever since her Portland ME series she hasn't avoided characters of color. Perhaps it's because she is originally Northern European and therefore has a more global view of humanity. I'd like to think it's because her heart blinds her to the fear of most authors that the world doesn't look like just what she sees in the mirror. No author I follow was as empathetic as she after the murder of George Floyd. She is a lesson in creating a world beyond herself then inviting the whole gang over for a look see.
Become a Freya Barker fan. I am.

Edge of Fear
Arrow's Edge MC, Book 4
By: Freya Barker
Narrated by: Amy Deuchler, Alan Carlson

I would love to say that this series gets better and better but that would not be giving the earlier books the praise they deserve because they are all amazing, the characters and their storylines. Freya Barker has become one of my favorite authors, I love her writing style and how realistic and relatable her characters are and everything they go through. She created something special when she created the Arrow’s Edge MC, I love the club dynamics and camaraderie amongst its members. This fourth book is Tse and Sophia’s story and I adored and admired both characters, Sophia for her strength and determination and Tse for being Tse, a swoon worthy player and a bossy alpha, who hides his heart and his scars well. Sophia is fairly new to Durango, circumstances brought her to the Arrow’s Edge, and she is staying to be near her friend’s son, Finn, and got a job running one of the club’s restaurants. She not only captured Tse’s attention but his brother’s too, he did not want to start a riff with his brother so he stayed away, but it wasn’t necessary since she only saw his brother in a brotherly way. She also did not want to get involved with another bossy man she had left one years ago when she was living in Denver. It was a pleasure to watch these two go back and forth with each other, the chemistry between them is undeniable and they could only deny each other for so long. And then when suspicious activity goes down and one of the restaurant workers is beaten, Tse gets all protective, but Sophia does not let that stop her from what she wants to do and Tse has to deal with that. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with many layers, besides the romance storyline and the thrilling suspense we get more of Tse’s backstory and the storyline of Ravi, a boy the Arrow’s Edge took in, another thing that makes that MC unique and special is how they help children in need. This romantic suspense has the perfect balance of romance, heartfelt emotions, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, and a steamy romance. Freya Barker, thank you for another amazing story and the thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Amy Deuchler and Alan Carlson are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They do a fabulous job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that fits their character’s persona perfectly and are believable in every role they played. Carlson’s Tse was spot on, grasped his swoon worthy alpha-bossy-tude and his soft caring side with ease. Deuchler played Sophia with perfection too, grasping all sides of her personality. Both were great at performing the various roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their narration enhanced an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for the great listen.

4.25 stars-- EDGE OF FEAR is the fourth instalment in Freya Barker’s contemporary, adult ARROW’S EDGE erotic, MC romance series focusing on the men and women of the Arrow’s Edge MC. This is forty-two year old, carpenter and MC member Ben ‘Tse’ De Leon, and thirty-five year old, restaurant manager Sophia Vieira’s story line. EDGE OF FEAR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. The Arrow’s Edge MC is a spin off from the author’s ON CALL series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the storyline premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sophia and Tse) EDGE OF FEAR follows the building romance and relationship between forty-two year old, carpenter and MC member Ben ‘Tse’ De Leon, and thirty five year old, restaurant manager Sophia Vieira. Sophia Vieira was best friend’s with Brick’s daughter Kelsey but Kelsey’s death found Sophia struggling for a place in the world until the Arrow’s Edge MC offered her the position of manager at the MC own Backyard Edge restaurant, a position that would place Sophia in the direct line of danger. Tse never thought he would find the one person to tame his heart, and meeting Sophie Vieira stirred something deep within our story line her. But all is not well behind the scenes at the Backyard Edge, and our heroine will pay the price for interfering in matters where she doesn’t belong. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Sophia and Tse and the potential fall out as betrayal and vengeance take aim at our story line heroine.

The relationship between Sophia and Tse is one of immediate attraction but someone else is vying for Sophia’s attention. Tse bides his time until he can no longer wait, letting Sophia know she is the woman that calls to his heart but Sophia is a strong, independent woman, letting Tse know she will not put up with his alpha-hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Yuma and Lissie ( Edge of Darkness), Lisa and Brick (Edge of Tomorrow) MC president Ouray and his wife, and FBI agent Luna; numerous club members MC members Wapi, Kaga and Lea, Trunk, Paco, Honon, Nosh; club kids Elan, Maska, and Ravi; restaurant employees Chris Boone, Bernie, Mandy, Emme; and Sophia’s parents Blossom and Duff; law enforcement Detective Ramirez and Damian Gomez. The requisite evil has many faces including a familiar one for our story line hero.

EDGE OF FEAR is a story of betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is twisted and haunting; the romance is seductive and tender; the sexual attraction is palpable and hot; the characters are animated and edgy. EDGE OF FEAR is another great addition to Freya Barker’s ARROW’S EDGE MC.

Tse and Sophia

I’d probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.

This book can stand alone but makes more sense if the rest of the series is read, plus the other books are just as good so you may as well start at the beginning and work forwards!

Tse is in his early 40s and has been with the MC since he was 17 after he ran away from badly abusive foster care. He was part of the MC when it was as 1%er and decided he wanted to fight for a better path when it went legitimate 10 years ago. The MC has been his only family and he’s never wanted anything else. He loves his life, working hard as a plumber, working with the foster kids the club are looking after, building homes for those less fortunate with Habitat for Humanity and filling in the gaps with his brothers and one night only hookups. He’s pretty content.

Sophia is 35 and been single for 6 years after a disastrous relationship with someone exceptionally controlling. She’s stayed away from men ever since, but she likes who she is now. She was raised on a hippy commune but left as soon as possible to go to college and stayed far away from her loving parents who don’t know the meaning of “personal boundaries”. Sophia moved to be near to her deceased best friend’s baby, Finn. Finn is being raised by Brick and his wife Lisa, as Brick is Finn’s grandfather. Brick and Lisa have taken Sophia under their wing as she helped keep Finn safe in a dangerous time (this is all in a previous book).

Sophia and Tse are very attracted to each other but Wapi, another MC member is also attracted to Sophia and it’s caused problems in the MC, so Sophia is staying clear of becoming involved with both of them. Tse is trying to do the same but after a month of trying, he gives up and goes all in.

This is a story of a very protective man trying to care for a very wary woman who does not want to be controlled ever again. It’s a prickly line for them both to tread and it makes for interesting reading. In addition to their personal difficulties, there are problems going on at the club owned restaurant that Sophia manages.

I really enjoyed this book. I really liked the way that these two very different characters navigated the problems in their relationship by talking things out and trying to stay calm when everything inside them screamed not to be. They both overreact and then pull themselves back.

I also really liked their interactions with Ravi, one of the foster boys. He’s been hurt badly but won’t talk about it and their care and work with him is lovely to read.

Freya Barker writes interesting stories about real people who are flawed and make mistakes but also have a depth and warmth. She also writes really well about the communities in which those characters live. In particular with this series, the MC is vitally important to the plot but also as they are part of the MC family and it’s how they are brought together initially.

The suspense part of the plot is also really good reading material. It is pretty twisty and it’s difficult to guess what’s going on, especially with the red herrings been thrown about.

All together, it’s a really satisfying read. I can’t wait to read who comes next, I have my suspicions, but I’ve been wrong before!

This series just keeps getting better and better! All of the characters are so richly developed with the perfect balance between being strong and independent, yet still compassionate. I love how Freya always ensures her characters still have faults, making them real and relatable. AND adds in humorous traits to keep us laughing despite the severity of swirling dramas.
Edge of Fear is book four in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the books in order. Tse and Sophia are two more characters to love! In Edge of Fear we are taken on their HEA journey. But like all stories it will be filled with drama, adventure, and suspense. While trying to determine who is behind the drug dealing murders, Sophia becomes a target. Tse is also fighting some demons of his own.
“The pretty ink only skin deep, barely covering the story underneath.”
There is so much to learn and discover about these two characters. But every time they get closer something gets in their way. Will things between Tse and Sophia end before they even start?
“This man is both rock and adventure. All I have to do is hold. On.”
Another fantastic read from an author who never fails to captivate you with her entertaining web of tales.

I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.

Once again Freyas characters are worthwhile reading about. The whole story is not to be missed, and it really does have an awesome HEA.
Both characters have pasts which they have to admit to and even though they both know whats between them they make a pact to put up with each other. I thought at first, that out of the two of them that Tse was the more mellow of them both, and he really was. I had to laugh though despite the romance blossoming between both Sophia and Tse, i just loved Sophias mother, she really was a classic and i just had to laugh out loud at times when she came into their lives once more
As for Sophias character she really is a hard working person, a good friend to all, but she really still does miss her friend who died, especially when there are times she just wants to spill and talk!

Another thing really loved about this story was that while the main story was great, there was also another little story going on and thats another thing i just loved about Tse, while he was balancing work, and trying to protect Sophia he also had time for the young boys of the club.

Another 5 star plus, you really cant go past this book, it really will draw in the readers from the beginning to the very end.
I have tried not to put in any spoilers because it really is worthwhile reading without saying to much. The characters speak for themselves and i know you will truely love them all.

This book 4 in the Arrows Edge MC series and is the story of how TSE and Sofia finally get together after dancing around each other for a while, Sofia was the best friend of Kelsey Bricks late daughter who we met in the previous book , Tse had a brief moment when he saved her from being shot only to be shot himself. Sofia decides to quit her job in Denver and move to Durango to be nearer Kelsey's son Flinn who is being raised by Brick and Lisa , she takes on the managers position at the new restaurant The Backyard that the club have purchased and doesn't have time for a relationship especially as TSE and Wapi appear to both have her in their sights , this is causing a lot of tension between the pair so TSE backs off and only after Wapi tells him that he realises that Sofia only see's him like a brother does TSE finally step up and admit how he feels but knows there is a long way to go, as with all Freya's books things are never easy as in real life which is why her books make compelling reading as there is always something that tends to resonate with the reader, when a dark time from TSE past which mirrors one of the boys Ravi's who they have taken a keen interest in ,and with drug dealing on the increase and getting closer to home the two lovers are tested to the limit . This is a fabulous addition to the series and is my favourite ....until the next one!!

I was glad that things didn't go on forever between Tse, Wapi and Sophia, that would have gotten old fast. Instead Wapi realized what was going on and stepped aside, although it was fun to see him warn Tse about not treating her right. From there it was pretty clear sailing relationship wise for Tse and Sophia, they had a few little hiccups, but they talked them through. Even the one big thing that could have screwed things up for them didn't and with how things happened, they both realized something they hadn't really thought of before was very much wanted.

The drama at the restaurant was crazy! I was glad that they figured out what was going on quickly and went about finding ways to stop it. Happier still when it was stopped for good.

My heart broke for Ravi. I liked that everyone was able to give him space and took their time to find out what was going on. In the end things changed for the better for all of them.

Once again, Barker has given her readers amazing characters and has drawn us into their lives. Edge of Fear is a story of two boys with rough childhoods and how it shaped them as adults. Tse has his tattoos as a reminder of his past and he pays it forward by providing an outlet for other children in similar situations. His former foster and MC brother, Manny, chose the other side of life and let old resentments fester.

When suspicious activity and characters are seen outside the restaurant owned by the MC, Tse stops dragging his feet where Sophia is concerned and becomes alpha protective. I loved Tse's emotion packed journey and how he cared for Sophia, Ravi and MC brothers even though he also could have turned to the dark side or shut himself off from feeling anything.

Another edge of your seat book not to be missed!

Tse and Sophia

This is the 4th book in the Arrow’s Edge MC series and oh so goof! This one features Tse, hunky biker and a man with deep scars, and Sophia, BFF of Brick’s deceased daughter and manager of the club’s new upscale restaurant, Backyard Edge. Sophia is under the club’s protection and they feel better that she’s back in town except for the tension between Tse and Wapi, who both want her but she sees Wapi as a brother. There is strange happenings at the restaurant and danger is on the horizon. This book is action packed, suspenseful, has a motorcycle rally, a former club member, drugs, lots of money, suspicious people, weird parents, a wonderful protective new dog, Ravi, club members, fear, kidnappings, some hot steamy scenes and two strong willed people learning to love.

Absolutely love this series!!
These men in Arrow MC are tattooed and have come from rough lives brought together in a Brotherhood that know one smart enough should mess with. Especially if that person messes with the woman that has brought them to their knees.
Tse tried to stay away from Sophia but he can't deny it any longer. He wants to be with her even if he thinks she deserves better.
Sophia has come to Durango to manage the restaurant. She is struggling to get staff but now there is a whole new problem.
The restaurant is being used for running drugs. They are using one of the staff by threatening her sister. They get her out of the situation, but still trying to round up all those involved.
Ravi, one of the troubled teens staying at the compound is becoming more withdrawn so Tse takes him under his wing and having him work with him. Ravi is with Sophia when all hell breaks through.
Can they find Sophia and Ravi? What will happen with Tse and Sophia?
This is soooo good. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Edge of Fear is the latest in the Arrow’s Edge series and follows Tse and Sophia. Sophia has moved to Durango after quitting her job in Denver and taking Ouray up on a job offer managing their new restaurant, The Backyard Edge. Sophia lost her best friend, Kelsey, and by moving to Durango it allows Sophia to stay close to Kelsey’s son Finn, being brought up by Brick, his grandfather.
Tse and Sophia hand a little history when he saved her previously from a gunshot, getting shot himself in the process.
However Tse and Wapi, both in the same MC have their sights set on Sophia and end up fighting over her until Tse decides to steer clear. However, after Ouray points out that Sophia just views Wapi like a brother and Wapi reluctantly gives him the nod Tse is fully invested.
The book follows strange events and attacks happening at the restaurant and drug dealing and Tse’s past catches up with him in a terrifying climax.
Again another great book by Freya Barker and nice to see have all the old characters in the book.

Ready to live in another world for awhile? Well, Tse and Sophia add another wonderful layer to the Arrow's Edge, MC world. Ms. Barker takes the time to really take the reader down the path to goodness. I wasn't sure if I was gonna gel with Sophia in the beginning, especially for Tse, but by the time things started getting intense, I was all in for both of these characters to get their HEA. I loved the dynamics between the two and the reader really got in on the ground floor of the development of their relationship. If you are a reader who loves an adventure, intense plot, fantastic characters, steamy moments, and a feeling of satisfaction once you get to the end, you must read this story. A can't miss. What are you waiting for? Click it. I received an ARC for my honest review.

Another great story full of action, suspense, captivating characters and of course love. Tse and Sophia make a great albeit unlikely couple and I enjoyed watching them figure out how to move forward in their relationship. And the ultra protective alpha Tse was fun to watch as he grappled with things beyond his control or those he wasn't sure how to control. Sophia is a great strong counterpart to his alpha. Plus, I always enjoy revisiting old friends from previous books. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book and enjoyed every moment so add this to your TBR pile right away.
