I can't believe I'd never read anything by the wonderful Jessalyn Jameson until a few days ago. Why did no one ever tell me about her?!

This little prequel novella was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, Jessalyn may the the master of writing wholesome, healthy, funny female friendships. I just wanna plop down in between these women and be best friends with them, too.



Sex and the City was before my time, but if you've watched The Bold Type (which is pretty much the 21st century, millennial Sex and the City), you'll know what the vibe of this story was. Just picture Jane, Sutton and Kat like five years in the future, and you'll get a sense for Brea, Brynn, Kelsey and Nessa. Strong, confident women, chasing their dreams and kicking ass through life's ups and downs. Together.



I loved how there were 2 chapters from each of their POVs to get a sense of who they each were as people and do a mini introduction to what I'm guessing will be the main plot lines of their own individual stories. Kelsey and Brynn were my favorite, but I'm so excited to dive into all of them!

The only thing I didn’t love about this novelette is that the next book hasn’t been released yet.
In this little beauty of a quick read, one of my fave authors JJ sets the stage for a perfect storm. Brea is dumped at the literal worst possible time - the day she's supposed to leave for her destination wedding - and of course her besties rally around her. They'll meet for brunch monthly to vent and catch up with each other. Delightful.

I thought we were just getting the beginning of Brea’s story. But noooo. We got teased with Brea’s and Kelsey’s and Nessa’s too. It's amazing how quickly you can fall in love with every single girl, and desperately want to see her HEA right NOW.

This series looks like it's going to have it all. Enemies to lovers for one girl. Best friends to more for another. A rich guy sweeping another off her feet after an embarrassing meet cute. What more could you ask for?

Also...are the girls going to enjoy Brea's honeymoon even though the wedding is canceled, or not? I have to know!!!!

In all seriousness, I love a romance that promises warm-fuzzy feelings in more than one way. In JJs "Brunch Babes," the positive, loving vibes between besties has me feeling the love. By the end of the second chapter you can already tell that this chaotic cluster of girlfriends would do anything for each other.

Now, THAT is the kind of energy I'm looking for in 2021. I hope you are too.

What are best friends for but to help nurse your broken heart with a lot of booze

Brunch Babes is the first book/Prequel to (The Brunch Babes series. This is great novella which introduces the readers to the "brunch babes", three best friends, Brea, Kelsey and Nessa, who meet for brunch once a month. Each of the ladies is geting their own story in this series. In this book Brea is about to leave for her destination wedding when her fiance calls the whole thing off. Well what are best friends for if not to take you on your honeymoon and help you heal your broken heart with sunshine, the beach and a whole lot of alcohol.
This was a very fun and entertaining novella. I really loved the deep friendship of the three ladies as they are there for each other in an instant and then some.

Brunch Babes is a prequel to the Brunch Babes series. Where 4 best friends decide to meet for brunch each month after Brea's ex fiancée basically left her at the alter.

JJ teases you with a short chapter about each friend. Which I am excited to learn more about each one. What will happen to each girl as they drink there mimosas at brunch?

I think this was an awesome start to what is going to be a fun, entertaining and definitely sexy new series. Each of the Bruch Babes are uniquely themselves but somehow the four of them have formed amazing friendships and I can’t wait to read while each of them get their happily ever afters.

What a great introduction to this series. You get to meet the four friends even though it's because one of them is goes through something that sucks. Her friends rally around her and thus the Brunch Babes are created. I can not wait to read the next book.
