I read this on RNF (ReadNovelFull), dropped at 20%.
It wasn't all that bad, better than Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint at least, but the MC is a psychopath, he's the kind that would kill a 5 yo girl saying it was self defense because she was going to attack him with a toy shovel... he kills people left and right, because he needed their EXP, because they were acting cute, brainwashing, etc. he has questionable morals at best.
Sure the initial world of Fantasia he is sent to turns out to be just a the realness of the people can be questioned, but even back on Earth he's still a trigger-happy lunatic, and that makes it hard to root for him or relate to him, even if he isn't a total degenerate and makes valid points from time to time. But the whole thing feels like the author mocking childish hero stories, acting like he's above it all (kinda like "look how much of an adult I am") and ends up going too far in the process.
(Just to clear the air, I prefer stories where the villains get killed, I'm not some pacifist who likes to forgive and forget those that try to kill others for personal gain)
Unfortunately the sudden nosedive of the translation quality at ~20% has caused me to drop it, someone else clearly took over (or a machine), lots of names changed and I could barely make sense of anything (suddenly he's a demon lord and has underlings? WTF?) and I wasn't that invested to begin with so I'm not gonna waste any more time on it.
I might pick it up again if it gets translated properly.
After a hundred or two chapters this story devolves into plotless chaotic arcs. It’s still entertaining, but much less so without the parody elements. Overall, I liked this enough to finish it but I wouldn’t recommend completing this novel.
May 2021 Review: Rating 3 stars
Half of is an interesting parody/subversion of typical webnovel popular tropes. The other half is monotonous fluff and padding. This wildly shifts between 2 and 4 stars.
I suppose I got too excited about the time loop aspect and was expecting Zorian and instead got Zack. A smarter but even more chaotic Zack.
