Highest Recommendation!

I was hooked from the first page. Living in Los Angeles, loving the music scene, pop culture, and history, how could I resist a well-researched story with a fresh plot—slipping back in time to stop Manson and his Family. This is a heart-pounding, riveting book, which needs its' own series.

The idea of “what if” history were changed is powerful, and enjoyable to read. I can’t wait to read more from Kim Clayton.

This is a page Turner with a very likeable protagonist who develops throughout the book. Starting as a very ordinary man living an ordinary life and becoming a hero who masterminds a plan with two other very likeable characters in the saving of lives unfortunately lost in a horrendous true life story. The” if only” is palpable throughout the theme of this book in the mind of the reader. The book really delivers in the final chapters with plenty of action and good satisfying conclusion.
As a long time fan of Jack Reacher this book is right up there for me and I do hope we have not heard the last from the adventures of this history teacher turned hero.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved learning about a fascinating time in history whilst not knowing what was going to happen next and how it ends. What a great combo! I haven’t managed to read a full book in many years but this one had me hooked and excited to read again and I read it in no time! A great concept and well thought out and written story that totally transports you to another time and place. I would absolutely recommend this book!

I haven’t read a book in years and I’m so glad I chose this book to break the drought! I was hooked after the first chapter! The characters were both likeable and relatable, I felt myself hanging on the edge of my seat concerned for the safety of Kass and Darby!
I hope “Ken Claybourne” continues to Slip on Through. I for one will be waiting with anticipation for his next adventure through time!
A must read!

Science fiction is not usually my go to, but this story warms into a page turner!
With an ‘if only’ outcome, it takes the reader on an adventure that feels like a glimpse behind the scenes. And, with some knowledge of the original event, comes across like a trip in a parallel universe.
A first novel that won’t be a last!

I couldn’t put the book down because I HAD TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
Kim’s clever fusion of fact and fiction made for a thrilling trip back in time for the readers.
Ken, Kass and Darby are an awesome trio and I definitely want to have them on my side!
Was very well written, Kim! I can’t wait to read book two

Slip On Through by Kim Clayton is a bold and imaginative debut that takes one of the darkest episodes in American history—the Charles Manson murders—and reimagines it through the lens of time travel. What makes it engaging is the balance between historical fact and speculative fiction: the familiar horror of Manson and his followers is contrasted with the daring hope of three characters who believe they can change the outcome.

Clayton writes with energy and curiosity, making you wonder not only what if history could be altered? but also should it be? The tension builds as the adventurers, guided by knowledge and conviction, struggle against forces far larger than themselves. Fans of historical fiction with a twist of sci-fi and “what if” storytelling will find this both unsettling and thought-provoking.

It’s a daring debut that lingers in your mind, inviting reflection on fate, morality, and the risks of rewriting the past.
